- As impressed as he is by the result of Jake's vat leaching process, Parker Schnabel decides this complicated and dangerous method of mining isn’t for him, preferring the simplicity of digging dirt.

I really like the wood creaking noises when dealing with a loader
Lol 😂
I love Parker. It's been a pleasure watching him mature from the age of 17.
And now he's living life without training wheels. 👍🏻
Love from the Netherlands!
Eyyy halo mede Nederlander
Tigo W.
Yooooooo Tygo! Jij ook hier? 😀
funny how much jake will look like Tony eventually
Proud of Parker! He has made His Grandfather’s Legacy live On! That is honour in its finest moments
I was just saying last night Parker's Grandpa really made a impact on who Parker is. He's came along way from those machines with as much Oil as Fuel burned to 2021.
Peter Parker also owes Tedd Hoffman for exposing him to a successful show.
@@RipRider916 I think when You ask around up North, old John Schnabble was a Legend that plugged a few things together with the other Legend Beets . 40 plus Years, brings a lot of Heroes like the Hoffman’s into the mix. Some make better choices than the others

Well he didn't have to do much everything was handed to him. He has a big operation and he has many people on payroll to tell him what to do and how not to go make mistakes and go bankrupt. They don't show you all the other people he has working for him in the office plus he has geologists on payroll to.
Can’t wait for the elders to find out
The givemegiveme peoples
2:40 Discovery just created a meme
At 1:45 it shows the excavator bucket removing it... 1:51 they will give it a shot... 1:55 front end loader is now removing the tank. 4:03 all the hazard liquid over his hand hahaha
The liquid is just fresh water, all the cyanide is washed out.
Leaching only works with fine particles and this small operation has to be LARGE.
Scaling of the leach tank and much thought into both saftey and more conomical recovery. They should yhave had a way to drain & recharge the tank without removing it from container.
With how much red tape there is in Alaska regarding water licenses and reclamation plans, I can't imagine that the mining authorities would be very cool about cyanide leaching and rinsing... And even if they did allow it, the bond must be HUGE to cover the dangers of a mishap.
How did they get from bag of charcoal to the melt for 44oz bar? Hate it when they cut that stuff out
Yeah also where did they flush the cyanide to?
that's where the money is actually made fellas. they arent going to show us that for free. putting cyanide and charcoal together is easy. ifs the filtering, purification, and refining that makes the business.
Did you find out how they did elution
Come on down to the Kenai Peninsula Alaska and see the Emu, ive got heaps of tiny gold
I wish they talked about the real dollars and cents profits etc. Just talking about raw revenue is so sensationalistic and misleading.
Have you seen the gold prices lol.
44.5ounces over 66 thousands dollars is real world numbers, its now over 74k at current gold prices. As far as operation costs they talk about it every now and then but that's not the focus of this show.
All of the Gold Rush shows cover daily operating costs during the season. Here we know the filter is about $10k ( i think). Couldn’t be more than a grand in chemicals. A days wages for someone to run the process. Lucrative
You are correct, they don't show any useful information to make a true calculation, but I don't blame them either
313👍's up thanks again for taking us all along with you for the great show
I kinda really feel Parker in this situation. There’s a point where you need to accept it just isn’t worth it. Digging ground up and sluicing it is one thing, having to use a bunch of really toxic chemicals and to really know what you’re doing is something else entirely.
yeah same. they only mentioned that the cyanide gets washed from the carbon but where does it end up? do they just dump it somewhere and let it dissapear into the ground? Its just something i really don't like. mining for gold is already messing up the landscape, we don't really need to poison it as well.
Parker knows his limitations and keeps them
Seen this in the USA over a year ago .🇺🇸🤔 Cjd wash state.
Dear Parker, you are the best.Greetings from Germany.

Hairy Dunn does gold mining. Where’s Loyd Christmas?
agree
Beleza de trabalho 👍😃👍
Wish to ask .what was the size of the leach pad and what was the size of the carbon chamber or rather what was the weight of carbon in kgs and what was the weight of gold in kgs?
David from Kenya.
Holy moly im early!! Hello from Canada! 🇨🇦
Goodnight from Norway!
This process is so crazy. I do it on a very small scale, but I couldn't imagine doing it to the scale they do. You know how many cherry pits you need foe that much cyanide. 😂😂😂😎
also this was a high-grade underground mine, over two ounces of gold per tonne
I really like the fact Parker dismisses the method because, among other things, it uses chemicals. Way to go Parker!
Using chemicals is completely fine. Trillion dollar mines use chemicals to extract metals from ore, it's been that way for over 100 years. Go learn some chemistry and you'll understand why.
@@lilkittygirl yea bro I am aware of the chemistry, and it's negative effects on nature. Anything else?
Parkers trucks, dozers, loaders and washplants run on chemicals too. Diesel is just one of the many products out of the distillation of crude oils, witch is pretty much as chemical as it gets...
@@lilkittygirl Parker's probably nervous about the safety factors involved with smaller operations using cyanide and the lack of oversight and training. A larger org probably has someone who doesn't do anything *but* manage chemical processes, where Parker's liable to have to ask someone to get off a loader and put on a safe suit and filter for the second or third time ever, and assist with pouring some nice dusty NaCN prill into a tank.
@@Youp1e ALL chemistry isn’t negative. It’s just part of the costs to properly dispose or recycle it. That is unless you know something specific about this particular process
Me gustaron la pepitas de Australia homie
I've heard there can be gold in builders sand it's worth a look .
Not far from Sandstone are many other mines. I worked in one 30 years ago that used bacteria to break down.
Kylo ren is not sure of his feelings for vat leaching
They can build a treatment plant to remove the gold where they can do it very safely.
That dude still has the caps on the breathing mask on...
I think I saw very small vents. I don't know how air got through that. He was suffering.
id love to be able to watch these but almost $100 a year YIKES!
10K for that Tank ?!
Depends what standard it is built to. In oil and gas industries a certified pressure vessel could be way more than that.
Aussie superglue is made to hold this properly
FTN ( F that noise ), Had an acquaintance who was recovering gold from electronics production using electrolysis and cyanide. he was making decent money but the process caught up to him, he's been gone 35 years now.
The Aussie Olympic athletes winning back the gold from where it comes from👍
I love this story ark in the knights or ren
Wait until OH&S see this $#/+ show! 😂
Schneebs don’t care; he’s a rebel with grandpas gold
probably like some places in Texas, where building codes and safety measurements dont matter
Tyler has a nice hiney
Can I get the contacts of Jacky, I will like to borrow a leaf from him, since he only used 2days to leach the 400tons of tailings, that is real incredible.
Parker your grampa would be proud of you
havent seen dirt like that outside of arizona. it is so red.
Welcome to Western Australia, we have so much red dirt here it's everywhere.
With pulling out the steel tank weld fittings on the side so a fork lift can remove it safe put forks on loader bucket chains and straps so un safe i left school at 14 i knew it all !! LOL
Nice 👍
Muito bom 👍👍
1:37 did Tony Beets travel back in time to be his younger self????
Proud 👍 jealous definitely 🤣
I don't know how this came out three hours ago this was on last year's show.
plain simple its all discoveries fault on thier timing.
So the more they are digging how many ounces to the ton?
Were can sign up. No cold weather
T.Mahoney is the next big TV star. 👊
that was last years. Where is parker this winter?
Nice to see the singer of the Goo Goo Dolls can find work these days.
I would like to go to Parker's gold mining grid
I,Use Borax..
I like gold parker
Hold that gold Parker
chemical ... very healty for the world
i always watch parker since day 1..
i like him so much ..
This was last yr correct?
This would be more entertaining with less fake drama. Cut the sound, cut the fake worry cuts..
Vlad Tenev looks like a nice guy
Maybe I missed something, but that really didnt seem to be worth the effort involved in it. I mean, maybe after the initial effort of digging the pit, lining it, and piping it, doing the refill, wait two days, then make a gold bar steps become more efficient, but yeah, seemed awkward when compared to sluicing the tailings.
Difference is the availability of water out in the dessert. In the end vat leeching can be as efficient for very fine gold which dry sluicing can't do as well
Does jake still work with Vern??
Flushed it out to where buddy?????
Back where it originally came from - the environment.
If they're doing it right the cyanide solution is mixed with Hydrogen peroxide and Potassium Permanganate which converts the toxic cyanide into Potassium cyanate.
Sahra Look Who's Here!
serdar çevik (Commander)
Moving the tank with the pay loader seemed real sketchy. Weak link in the process. I agree with Parker, no chemicals need to be used.
I like diggin dirt - Parker
Why is Tyler involved in this operation. There has to be a ton of actually qualified people to show Parker the many ways to extract gold in Australia.
because it's mainly a TV show. The audience likes her, so obviously the producers of the show were keen on any excuse to get her on screen again.
Eye candy
“Its only got one chain on and it wobbling” look at the size of that chain ffs.
I doubt this guy with the mask knows how cyanide works.
Aussie Gold Hunters vs Gold Rush..Vat Leaching vs Sluicing..
Like Parker ! I don't like chemicals ! ACIDS and including CYANIDE
bro, gold mining IS bad for the env lol
I agree with you.
next year Parker goes to mars
and finds the mother of all mother loads
*lode
@@Galactis1 language is useless to ignorant people..
Cyanide? What could possibly go wrong?
Disappointed that Parker likes only the brute force method of only finding gold in the ground through digging, rather than with a bit of clever science
Oh you thought this was real? Interesting.
@@michaelwalker9575 I’m sorry did you think that the chemical method of retrieving gold was fake?
that Sheila is a cutie!
Why don't these guys have a proper shed to keep this tank in? They would never have to move it.
Kylo working on making a gold helmet
Parker has the money to invest in a real cyanide leaching system that is safe. Mixing tanks are sealed and moved with automation and machines. They are safe if you invest the money in a real system not something like this which has a high degree of danger.
The bugs alone looks to be a reason to not wana be there in my opinion lol
The gold was more than a bar ......
That was the worst ingot pour ive ever seen
One mistake around that poisonous gas and it's lights out forever.

Wow I'm sure glad they're using cyanide. Must be great for the local environment
Way better than the mercury extraction method.
if they do it properly then the environment would never see a drop of cyanide hit the dirt.
Fred is a disgrace to Green berets... Was probably wearing that mask in the truck ride too 🤦
that was the most impure pour i've ever seen

Seems rather sketchy...
Parker rite I'd rather dig dirt, with all the chemicals doesn't it start fires?
Borax is better to separate gold and safer
Parker could be Leonard Nimoy’s son or grandson. Resemblance is uncanny
Typical one guy wearing a mask and like 4 others standing next to him not even thinking about it

$10,000.00 tank? Bulldust.
There is a filling of gold included, so they have something to impress parker...
It's environmentally un safe and dangerous just imagine those toxic chemical going to the ground..
