- Hey guys welcome back to the channel with this weeks video! Today we got a match up featuring very prominent Mechs in the Kaiju community. With the Evangelions from NGE and Kiryu from the 2 Kiryu saga films respectively. Both of these pieces of media have various similarities but which is the superior Kaiju defending hope of mankind? While kiryu might not be the strongest mechagodzilla incarnation he was definitely imo the most badass one and had an amazing design. Really makes me wish the millennium era was better connected
Personally I think milleniums dispersed nature is one of it's strengths. Showing just how adaptable Godzilla as a concept is as a story with so many stand alone films, justifying newer designs and various levels of groundedness for each film. I wouldn't have minded seeing the kiryu saga round themselves off with a third film to make it a trilogy though.
With the Absolute Zero canon, he could literally solo any mech in the franchise
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 I wanted a trilogy but the era imo was more of a mess tbh. Some standalone films were great but overall it was really all over the place sadly.
@@Nightlizard1564was it though? The series didn't have any intention of having connections between films apart from the kiryu ones. Given the directors didn't have to collaborate it mostly worked out. The only millenium movie I'd consider not good is maybe Godzilla Vs megaguirus but even that one is watchable albeit pretty slow, the rest range from pretty awesome to staples of the series!
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 true but while the standalones like GMK and the kiryu films were good the era as a whole was all over the place compared to how well done the heisei era was imo. Like most of em weren’t bad but overall felt convoluted in nature.
What if Kiryu from Godzilla and Kiryu from Yakuza switched places.
The only way I see Yakuza Kiryu winning is if it's either the version from Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise (Basically Kenshiro who I think is roughly multi-continent level and possesses hax attacks via pressure points though that probably wouldn't work on a non-human), Y0 Kiryu with Limit Breaker lv.999 Dragon of Dojima (One shots pretty much everyone and can tank the strongest attacks for literal minutes, probably at least a few hundred times stronger than base Kiryu who is at least building level), or the version from Ishin Kiwami where he gets access to borderline hax magic with his sword, gun, and support abilities.

This random 'Ghidorah' seems to be featless. Just cuz they share the same timeline, it doesn't mean they should be the same level as the canon Showa ver since they sorta just exist with different outcomes (especially since Showa Godzilla doesn't exist in the Kiryu Saga continuity)
Another thing is a lot of the reason these conversations exist is cuz toho wanted to use stock footage, as it stands the kiryu saga cameos can only rlly be scaled from what we see them do.
That and kiryu saga mothra isnt actually stronger, the translation mentions her as an evolution of the previous mothra which doesnt mean explicitly stronger since mothra ain't a pokemon, especially since the fallow up is mentioning the new adaptation of pollen over rays.
There are some issues with 7:51 temperature fluctuations change tensile properties drastically and somewhat unpredictably from material to material, odds are it is just that whatever godzilla is made of is extremely resistant to low temperatures and doesn't say too much conclusively about his actual tensile properties. Another thing to note is that because Absolute Zero Cannon is quite spread out in its distribution its not really anything more special than say super low temperatures in a lab other than all the weird impossible stuff that should occur at absolute zero but doesn't in the film(For all intents and purposes its close but not actually absolute zero). Godzilla not taking too much damage from that isn't that surprising then, the yield isn't important for absolute cannon its only the same temperature spread over a very large distance, its not any colder at the epicenter. It's not like a nuclear weapon being hotter and bigger than a normal bomb.

I'd give team Eva like 4/10 just mainly due to them having the advantage of being able to re-strategize midbattle as I don't see anyone but maybe Asuka still trying to cqc Godzilla after the stat difference makes itself known. It would let them press their numbers and mobility(specifically not "speed") over the big G. But that's all imo on the actual mechanics of a battle past the stat comparison

Some of them like Godzilla 89 are a lot weaker while others like the monstervers Godzilla are a lot stronger
So pretending that everything is consistent for a moment this means that gamera in that game who would scale to the black hole gun that is used by players
So assuming that the battle line version of gamera can do everything that the camera rebirth version does only with everything scaled up with his base being relative to the black hole I'm now wondering how powerful that version of gamera is
As a low and I think about a line camera might be solar system level which would make him stronger than every single other character in the gamera franchise
On the other hand I personally think black holes are scaled down whenever people try to scale monster characters so personally I think that by surviving a black hole you have survived infinite damage since that's theoretically how black hole works in real life
Either way this would still be the strongest version of gamera even though that most versions of Godzilla Cannon still kill this thing
At the end i was just imagining this scene where all the pilots are down and out the out of the evas barley alive. Meanwhile shinji gets tail smashed into a building and right when godzilla is about to blast him away we hear the very roar of the mama bear. Right then and their coming in and just absolutely bullying godzilla ragdolling him into buildings by the tail. once he finaly gets a chance to fire at her the beam is separated into 5 smaller beams with eva 1 just blocking it with one hand and well i wont say further as youtube wouldn't like it.

Overall i *kinda* agree, while kiryu is destroying the angels, I feel godzilla only wins with guide books because honestly godzillas like heisei are small planetary without guide books so kiryu goji is LOSING BADLY to the evas. Can Godzilla survives the spear, the AT field for cutting, and EVA01 going berserk?? Can the red atomic breath be blocked by three merged AT fields? So Godzilla can't survive their mean of offence and can't destroy the three EVA. Say the three only have their base equipment, and do not have their abilities in the finale, can their team work put down Godzilla? Probably not, Godzilla can beat those characters across most of their screen time in their original run. The ferocious nature of a titanic top predator of thousand years old (if not millions) beats fighting abilities of two teenager and an empty clone. EVA01's berserk might have a chance, but it is a light weight fighter, while the Godzilla is a Super Heavy Weight. Godzilla could probably catch a speeding EVA01 and pull it apart. As for Kairyu, can Nerve build copies and employ pilots to fight apostle with it? If they can, then individual apostle stand no chance against multiple Mega Godzillas. One on one, kiryu has weapon that can put down most apostles. Again top of the food chain has more fight and skills in it than rage against the EVA01. What can a tiny EVA01 do that cause enough pain to stop Godzilla in its movement? Its jaw are tiny, its limbs are scrawny, and it doesn't poke eyes or spear throat with open palm strike, and it doesn't use weapon at ninja speed for its size. Godzilla eats EVA01 for a curious snack.
