Complementary being my favourite shaders, I did not think it could get better, I didn't even know a new version was being made. This hyped me up so much, as all I saw here, look somehow, even better!
I want that when it's raining I want the clouds to cover the entire sky I think you should at least have that as an option, but overall one of the best shaders I've scene without being too demanding.
Ok now I will have to redo my settings I suppose. :3 But it's worth it, thanks for these amazing shaders. It's the best out there imo even better than rtx. I just wish the shader was more like vanilla by default, like not letting you see so much under water and having darker skies.
So confused on how to download this!! I feel like I'm close on getting a virus so I keep giving up everytime. Very nice shaders, absolutely amazing to see! I'm just way too stupid to function anything in Minecraft.
Complementary is the one i have used the most. Got 81 lines in my settings file. This needs to be tested. So alot of tweaking will be needed again i bet. Wonder if they have added the option to change the kelvin value on torches\lamps this time 🤞
In my opinion, the improvement in almost all aspects or really all of them is superior, the only thing I would change is the appearance of the nether portal and that the rain uses a more white or Gray, something that would look more melancholic by modifying the saturation and contrast slightly in the blocks and lighting, or that could at least be modified in a kind of mode selector.
Okay.. I tweaked this shader pack to use the reimagined water and shaders and lemme tell you, it is GORGEOUS! Had to turn of Anti-Aliasing though as it was kinda bringing FPS drops
r5.0 leans towards authenticity, detail...especially the water is really nothing to criticize! Still v4.7.2, I think it has been reformed for those who love yellow tones, bringing a poetic and relaxing feeling. That's my feeling, if you're in doubt that's okay...DOWNLOAD BOTH LIKE ME :ĐĐ
You don't need to! r5.0 is the combination of both v4 and Reimagined. It's a single shader pack that has all the options to get every look you want now.
Yup! Both Complementary packs are now combined into one package and the two separate downloads are only for most people that don't know about shader settings.
r5.0 gives higher fps numbers on most systems. These are our test results: cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/796441886070931457/1151097996012945509/image.png
Are you able to add a setting where the ores dont glow? i love the way this shader pack looks but im playing a survival server with friends and it feels unfair playing with these but i cant play without them because of how good everything looks lol!

The nether storm is the best addition to a shader pack ever. The shadow quality is so good for the framerate... I've never willingly used shadows before. I'm going to start using a shaderpack (this) in normal play now, thank you! That being said, I did like the setting layout and control of 4.6 when using iris, but I'm not sure how that works.
The mod works but I installed the reimagined version and it appears to be unbound instead even tho I used the install method from the reimagined page on cursed forge and it makes me lag tremendously and i have a 4060 and a lot of memory plus I cant get the shaders to work with my own modpacks for some reason. I am new to modding minecraft and it would be helpful if anyone has any tips.
Is there any way to turn off the TAA? In it's current state I cant use this shader as it causes me migraines, Im still using version 4.4 but I'd really like to be able to use newer versions.
You can add "TAA=false" to your settings file. But please keep in mind that this will cause like 50 different drawbacks. Including worse effect quality to worse performance.
How do I like install it as a mod, do I just download it or do I have to do stuff that are basically just like other mods, I've seen lots of tutorial but this, this is just confusing, please help me
The best and easiest way to install Complementary is using the Complementary Installer from www.complementary.dev/shaders It literally takes 30 seconds to get everything done Any other method to install it is redundant unless you want to install it in a large modpack. In which case you you need to get a compatible "shader loader mod" installed in your modpack (either Iris, Oculus or Optifine) then add Complementary in the Shaders menu in game
Yeah, I felt like it's a bit weird for clouds to suddenly reduce in size and amount because aurora borealis appeared. Should I revert to the old behaviour?

It all depends on mainly the profile and render distance. For example, you can easily get 60+ fps even on 10 year old computers with the "Potato" profile as long you keep your render distance low.
The nether heating is such a good idea
FR
Yeah now its cooler
You mean the pc heating because of the graphics right?
Makes sense why you can't put water in nether
@@BorinBDcomplementary is like the least intensive shaders lol
Always inspiring getting a new Comp update! 🙌
Jesus is Lord READ THE HOLY BIBLE!!!!
4.7.2 already looked great and this is a massive improvement somehow, thank you for making shaders

Great work man
happy to see that after so much work it looks so amazing
Jesus is Lord READ THE HOLY BIBLE!!!!
Thank you so much for the hard work, I really like that the lighting in the nether is dimmed

I read the patch notes. Took me 5 minutes. This update is crazy!
my favourite shader. it is just amazing that you can use such a beautiful shader FOR FREE + open source. thanks EminGT for your great work
Been using this shader pack and I absolutely love it! Fantastic performance, no problem at all. Keep it up buddy!
the reflection filtering has such a huge difference!!!!
It astonishes me how a block game could look so high quality
It's beautiful but I realy would love to see colored lights like in rethinking voxels I really miss this feature in complementary
Yeah, hope that option could be back
Absolutely gorgeous! I'm a proud user of complementary shaders ❤
Как же это ахуенно выглядит. Плюс сам шейдер довольно оптимизированный. Автору большой респект👍
Delicious! This is a jaw-dropping experience 😮👍
This is amazing - I am getting 230-300 fps at 4k with rtx 4090. Great optimization work here dude. Thank you :D
Bro, this is so beautiful... I like it
Now this is a perfect, profressional showcase of a shader. Great video, it was very enjoyable!
Please add full on customizable coloured block lighting similar to re-thinking voxels. great upgrade though
I want that when it's raining I want the clouds to cover the entire sky I think you should at least have that as an option, but overall one of the best shaders I've scene without being too demanding.
I will be adding a setting for that in the next update
@@EminGTyou're amazing!
You have to change amount of clouds in that way. But I think this is the best solution
thank you comrade for such a wonderful shader
I think this is a very good improvement
Emin, all the community needs Complementary RT. As a long term complementary fan i would be really happy to see my dream come true.
Believe me. The community does not want RT. There is a reason that there isn't a *single* great RT shader pack out there. Not even a single one.
@@EminGT yes and also it will destroy the FPS. Maybe we'll want Path Tracing though.

settings from reimagined should be drag and drop :)

The jungle rain scene is just incredible on unbound
wow installing for sure

Great, now I definitely won't be able to decide between v5 and Reimagined ?☺?

looks great.
How do I make the sun rays look like that? 0:50
Awesome job!!!! ❤❤❤
Last Shot was cool!
I love the way this looks! More reminiscent of Complementary Reimagined. What are the major differences between the two?
The "r" in the version number stands for Reimagined. This IS Reimagined, they just chose the original Complementary as a point of comparison.

yoooooo, this look so good
It's so weird to see realistic looking clouds floating among the blocky hills of Minecraft 🫠
In that case you can get the "Reimagined" style of Complementary Shaders r5.0. It's designed to preserve the unique visual elements of Minecraft!
is the fps any different between 5.0 and 4.7.2? higher or lower?

hello!! im a big fan of your work. its unrelated but where are you from?
Please add a option to render offscreen items like SEUS PTGI. It also shows reflections of where you don't look.
Seus ptgi use software ray tracing while complementary use screen space reflection for better frame rate. It can only reflect things on the screen.
How to insert it in my Minecraft?
damn this is better than real life
