I am sure you meant Kiarostami, but let's forget about your typos. As it happens I have seen A Taste of Cherry. It is the only film of his I have seen but is was very well written and quite moving. Sorry that your attempt to make me look bad by naming a film maker you just assumed I've never heard of failed. You are taking this personal. All I have ever said is that J. Edgar is a film that you lack the knowledge to understand and that you saying its a bad film doesn't make it so. I'm not wrong..
i've never insulted someone for a comment on something they said in some video, like you did. so i don't really not how it works. just leave me alone. your "i'm not wrong" pretty much describes you. please re-read my first comment and check that i was talking about the script and the length and the rithm of the movie, things you can observe as good or bad in any culture you live. again, leave me alone.
You really don't seem to want to be left alone since you keep replying to my comments. If you really wanted to be left alone as you claim, you would stop. Its also very small minded of you to think three words can sum up any human being. Kinda adds credence to my statement that you aren't smart enough to understand the movie. Of course it was long, it covered the events of a man's entire life. That doesn't make it a bad movie. So if you really want to be left alone, stop replying. Or I won't.
If you read the Great Gatsby or now watch the movie Gatsby can be taken as an pathological egotist. He has the allure of glitz and glam but is quite manic.
The reason I didn't see the movie, although I adore Clint Eastwood and Leonardo DiCaprio, is because I didn't want to see Leo looking old and fat. Simple as that.
unfortunatley, this is a seriously bad movie. as much as i like this two, the movie is way too long, the script is really plane and simple, and it's just bad. shame, because they're two cool guys indeed.
God this was one of the best movies I have ever seen thank you Clint Eastwood and Leonardo DiCaprio two of my favorite actors thank you so much
he is the best actor of the past 20 years.
you know its a good movie if you keep coming back to watch it again and again
Don't see why some people didn't like this film. It has a lot of accurate stuff and the lighting of it fits the times perfectly.
Any dislikers have anything to say.
That made him look like a old fat guy
yeah , when did this aire on Television?
@@isaiah8488 Have you seen the real Hoover's looks?
@@ClassPresidentAlejandro1999 2011.
LEO BECAME HOOVER...extraordinary job!! And, of course, CLINT'S INSIGHT & FINESSE...sealed the deal! WOW!!
Can't dislike Clint Eastwood.

If you view this movie more like a documentary then you’ll enjoy it.
Great performance specially tolson n hoover
I loved this movie and yes Leo was right it was tasteful and sensitive.
He'll be a really good Jay Gatsby. Can't wait to see it.
How was it?
Einaudi's music spotted! great choice for great men. Leo is amazing and lovely😍😍😍😍
2:50 - 3:06 Something to truly get our attention.
And it's also disturbing to think that he didn't even get a nomination for an Oscar!!
leo you are for me so beautiful
Agreed 100% with what you said. Sad to see a legend of a filmaker do this. But I am sure he'll redime himself in the next one. :)
I agree!
¡Oscar 2012!
This is one of the films DiCaprio was robbed of a Oscar nomination.
I'd love to see what Clint and DiDaprio could do for "The Radium girls--the Amazon does NOT do them justice. Its quite a story.

Me Leo wear the same looks like we have the same story don't be jealous people I wish I could make some movie with him he's my favorite movie star
I missed having my birthday on 11.11.11 by 3 days :/ Congrats Leo!
I'm a big fan of Leo, but i think Tom Hanks would be a better J. Edgar.
NO......I nerver watched Hanks playing a mean guy ;)
Hanks was great in "Catch Me If You Can".
De Caprio is more physiologically suited to playing J. Edgar Hoover.
@11msmarish yes, and now he knows. seing as he will read your comment.
wow
No such thing is love especially between these 2 men.
The story of self obsession the thrill of a servant and CO dependency.
Conservative and a liberal. See they can work together....
Turns out he was a/the "Bottom" cop.

Hoover was a major league crook and hypocrite.
@cairnsbb Sure...but it's even worse that someone like Gary Oldman hasn't one an Oscar yet...

I didn't get that final comment about Leo being born to play Gatsby. Whether it was a compliment or not a compliment. Anyone care to explain?

MoxieInside So then Leonardo is considered manic?
Nope. Not 2012, nor 2013. Sadly...
CGI modern movies are most crap to say the least he's right
"non-envoving" pretty sure that is not a real word. like i said champ, leave the thinking to the rest of us...
The reason I didn't see the movie, although I adore Clint Eastwood and Leonardo DiCaprio, is because I didn't want to see Leo looking old and fat.

@IrenelovesDiCaprio noscar for leo!! :-(
this is pathetic. i'm done with you. keep saying whatever you want. poor woman.
