Very good lesson. I just want to add a couple of comments. Personally, when I was learning English, I had discovered this passive approach which helped me tremendously. so I would try to explain to learners that all the past participle adjectives; such as "I am delighted", I am exhausted" or I am interested etc. can be taken as passive voice if this approach helps you at all. I use this method because all the "ed" verbs used with any form of the "be" verb forms a passive condition. Using one of the same examples above; "I am interested in getting more details about this car..." I am interested- because the car interests you. Likewise, I was completely exhausted after the 5k run. The 5k run had exhausted you- this is an active voice because the 5k run is the subject which made you exhausted. So "I was exhausted..." So using past participle as adjective is very common. However, most teachers will not explain the usage with the passive approach. I should reiterate. This method is posted here for reference only for those who find it helpful. It is not found in traditional grammar book.
True story to share.. when I was a kid being a new immigrant in Canada in the early 90's.... I was really struggling to pick up English.... so this is what I did, I forced myself to watch CNN news and Seinfeld for at least a couple hours a day... and whatever could stick in my head, I would try so hard to repeat the phrases out loud in whatever American/NY/neutral accents they were speaking with.... the more you get familiar/comfortable with this process, the likelier you can adapt and start to talk more like a native!! I'm pretty sure the English education in HK is still the same... very robotic and they just hammer you on spelling & grammar... neglecting the fact that it's also VERY important to get into the flow of a native speaker!!
When someone says they are "easy to forget things," it typically means that they have difficulty remembering information or events. It suggests that their memory may not be very reliable or strong, and they often struggle to retain and recall information. Forgetting things easily can be frustrating and can impact various aspects of a person's life, such as work, relationships, and daily tasks. If you find yourself consistently forgetting things, it may be helpful to explore memory-enhancing techniques or consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation. No, there are no grammar or meaning errors in the sentence you provided. It is grammatically correct and conveys the intended meaning. OpenGTP 話無錯
I listened to this video again tonight. I would like to share that I said "I am in urgent." to my Canadian friends. They seemed not to understand me. Then they tried to inform me that I should say "I am in a rush."
It is difficult for me to learn English. It would be too easy for me to forget those grammar. It looks like every adj are used to describe the object or matter, otherwise it would become personal attack. XD
hi Melody, i much enjoy yr lessons. show us "don't" & "do" on meaning is quite effective. May you share how to use " lovely / perfect / enjoy / cheers / take care ..." instead of " thank you" when we end the conversation with foreigners. you know, when we meet strangers, teachers , salesmen, ( unknown) neightbours, customsers, friends, elderly people ( known)...I think those words should be good at specific situation. please advise. 老師教得很好,學習語言係應該精益求精,但日常跟外國人交流時只要能盡量表達,對方就會覺得我們很棒,理解我們使用外語的困難,所以我們只要放膽去表達及學習,不用怕出錯
i am painful 就好像身體被打穿了,又想到自己悲慘的人生,早上老婆跑了,昨天家人作古了,今天上班左腳入辦公室被老板開除了,買的股票跌死了,午飯吃個泡面沒熱水還灑在了地上。Suffering
Bro you ok?

Melody, 多謝你的英文教學視頻,因為是我之前常犯的錯誤,雖然我移民到悉尼十年了,但講英文時,經常詞不達意😂,你的教學令我受益良多,❤,辛苦晒你❤

It's true. When you are speaking with the English native speakers, it feels like you are on a different planet. 😄

感謝Melody分享英語用詞資訊😀😀🤝🤝下次見。
好難瞓着亦可說 I find it hard to fall asleep. Hard 和 difficult 意思都是困難,鞎難,二詞一般通用但差別是difficult 可解作刁難,所以不要說I'm difficult. Hard 可解作費力,好難瞓着就是此意。
第9个例子都可以用
I‘m good(或It's OK), thank you来代替
但系个意思就唔系“太麻烦你啦”,而系“我自己搞得掂”
It's quite useful and helpful. Thank you very much Melody!
You're very welcome!

forgetful adj 健忙
e.g.
1. I'm forgetful. I forget things easily.
2. The older we get, the more forgetful we become.
Hello,Melody 老師,如果你可以的話,有冇興趣create一部影片係關於Phrasal Verbs呀?Thank you.

如果在“I am painful”的例子上讲下身体每部位痛的句子,你的讲座就更加圆美了!
很多时候我们会把英文讲得很中式, 你所举的这些例子就是所谓的chinglish吧, chinese English, 很好的分享。
因為 身體傷害 而痛, 英語習慣用語係 it hurts
I'm excited to see you. I feel bored without seeing for just a few days, sometimes in pain. Melody is so pretty!

You made a grammar mistake - @10:40 - it should be "She always complainS about everything."
敢其實 painful ,boring , exciting… 可唔唔可以前面加feel就可以用番i… . i.e. I feel painful, I feel boring, I feel exciting?
No... you'd have to say "I'm feeling ecited.... I'm feeling bored.... I'm feeling pain in...... "
I指意識,I m painful, 表達层次清晰無礙。盎人要學会表達共情与同情。.
Hi Melody, 可唔可以講下 question form 既變形呀? 例如 Is he finished or 只能用 Does he finish 之類既野? 同埋 question form 洗唔洗+s 之類既, 萬謝!🙏
