性價比高: 喺英國通常講“Cheap and cheerful”, "cheap as chips"。 “cheap" 喺呢個context語境裏面 冇貶義。
貴： costly, pricey 亦都常用
In Canada, we often use over priced to describe something expensive. We don’t like to use the word “cheap” but we can use inexpensive or good priced.
Honestly, we do use cheap to describe the low prices in Canada! No one will think you are talking about the material when you use the word cheap!

就係用cheap，就係講not expensive，根本唔會有任何問題，我用我喺美國生活十五年以上經驗保證。

住得耐真係唔代表英文好，我老婆十幾歲已經來美國，溝通完全冇問題，但很多時候她的英文都會有中式表達的問題。有次她對個白人傾計用個cheap字，我聽到都覺得有啲唔妥，我睇到個白人表情明顯有一刻尷尬，如果佢知道英文唔係你嘅第一語言，佢唔會兜口兜面話你咁講係唔啱，所以當事人根本唔會知甚至唔會察覺。老實講我睇好多講中文嘅youtuber拍呢類型影片，都會有大量呢類質疑嘅留言，白人拍的就比較少爭議。只能夠話呢類型嘅影片只係適合比啲對英文有要求同想進步嘅人睇，就算英美加都係移民國家，母語者一早已經習慣唔同口音同文法錯嘅英文，佢哋都唔會好在意呢啲野，只要溝通到就得。重有就係，即使同樣係母語者，教育程度高同教育程度低嘅人英文嘅程度都可以差好遠。非母語者如果多睇英文書同美劇，英文能力絕對可以超越教育程度低嘅母語者，雖然口音幾乎沒辦法完全接近母語者。最後想提議下或者Melody唔好做呢類型嘅影片，因為喺youtube不論中國人定係白人都已經拍好多。個人好鍾意睇Melody講學習同自律方法嘅影片。

Hmmmm. Not sure what to make of this video. "Cheap" is a perfectly good adjective to use. And as mentioned by other commenters, depending on context, it can also have negative connotation.
For example, "the car is cheap" is perfectly good, "the car looks cheap" not good. "that dress is cheap" - good. "that dress looks cheap on you" - very not good 🙂
I wish Melody can emphasis how and when use of an adjective is perfectly acceptable and how and when, to avoid these.
BTW - "stealing price"? "it's a steal" is more common and recommended.

Even though cheap is OK to say, my opinion is, if you say it in front of your friends, yes, there's no problem. But when you're in an interview or in a formal occasion, we better avoid using the word "cheap". My point is, it depends on the targeted audiences. I guess this video is more for the audiences who do not speak good English. It's better for them to learn English & use it in a proper way. 😊

@@chenlinglai2836 you can learn a lot by watching Melody's channel for free. Personally I have never paid extra for English lesson except during normal school education, plus life experience. I do read a lot of books.

someone who spends carefully to achieve good value is thrifty. One can also have a budget to prevent over spending.

日常口語，常用與否，兩大原則：1. 順口， 押韻， 2. 用字簡單, 句子精簡。故此 Cheap as chips, cheap and cheerful, value for money 常用。

Cheap=賤價？
"Cheap" 有冇包含貶義，“賤”，視乎語境, context, 不可一概而論。以下兩個例子，一定有貶義：
1. Cheap behaviour 類似賤格
2. 如果用嚟形容人， eg, using it to describe a girl, the meaning is very specific and negative.
