What an unreal night that game was. Everything from the contest at the beginning to the biggest stars showing up and playing well. One of my favorite ASG of all time.
After watching this game again I'd like to know how often a stat like that ever happens in general where any team hits for the cycle in a single inning. I can't imagine it has happened much?
This was back when the players were still super-jacked. In '03 they did anonymous nonpunitive drug testing which was a joke, and didn't stop anybody from juicing. So these dudes were still 'roided up and rakin'.
103:59 Albert Pujols hits a double in Houston where he would hit his more well known 'Big Bash HR' off Brad Lidge in the 2005 NLCS and ruin their last minute party for a trip to the WS at home.
Muhammad Ali ( January 17, 1942 - June 3, 2016 ) aged 74 R.I.P. 🪦😇 🪽 -------------------------------------------------- 32:51 - 33:00 - 33:15 -------------------------------------------------- Greatest all-time famous boxer Muhammad Ali and his son Asaad Amin Ali came to MLB when Muhammad was 62 years old and his son Asaad Amin was 13 years old and and announce to the greatest boxer Muhammad Ali on July 13th 2004. All the baseball team members came to see Muhammad Ali.
I have no clue. He had a fantastic year in 2003, but had a pretty disappointing 2004. Might have gotten picked purely on that season. If they needed a pitcher, Mark Buehrle was right there (although 2004 was one of his weaker seasons). There was also Paul Konerko, who hit 41 home runs in 2004, and Carlos Lee, who had a 28 game hitting streak earlier that year, the longest in White Sox history. I was at the game he broke it against Atlanta
How ironic Pavano would be a yankee a year later. Honestly I didn't like him he was a waste and a baby getting hurt for all we know he probably was faking it. He should have stayed in Florida. He got his paycheck and faked his injuries.
Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz both hitting bombs in the All Star Game and the Sox winning the World Series that October. 2004 was a fun year.

The manager of the Astros got fired the next day and brought in literally the best era before this current era of the Astros.
19:30 - fun fact: Jimy Williams is the only manager in the last 30+ years to be fired in the All Star Game period by the team hosting it

The early portion of the video was really lousy and hard to watch; It was like looking at spoiled color running into itself
