Actually, all things considered, Brute Justice was the Megazord, then Cruise Chaser combined onto it and Alexander showed up to carry the 6 of them, so it was the FFXIV Ultrazord

Every time I hear this song, I remember the time I carried a single guy through the raids. We did the whole thing together, and he lost his shit during this part. We purposefully stalled the fight to dance with the robot and his mechanics. I never saw that guy again, but I hope he too remember the time we had as fondly as I do.

Actually, the are a direct reference to Transformers of all things. The naming scheme perfectly lines up with the Combaticons from the series (I.e Brawl=Brawler, Swindle=Swindler, etc.), decepticons that form the combiner robot, Bruticus. Even the individual robots placement in the combined mode is a direct reference.

I personally like it because when I solo'd the savage version as BLU that part lined up with the final phase (with the end of the song lining up with me finishing it off _juuuuust before_ it used Gavel)
Moments with kids cheering or singing part of the lyrics was also quite the staple of tokusatsu and mecha themes in the 70s and 80s. It just adds even more to the beautiful tribute to all of Japan's giant robot/spandex-and-helmet hero media this whole battle is.

See, that's interesting. I personally really don't like it - I find it distracting, I can't stop my eyes from skipping to the next line prematurely, it somehow interrupts the flow for me. I can see how it would be good for karaoke, and I accept that my perspective is probably not typical, but yeah, I find it oddly disconcerting.
Honestly one of these best boss themes in the entire game. It;s just so fun and is honestly the best compliment for the fight itself. Was one of the few things stopping me from losing my mind wiping over and over on Savage min ilvl.

The endsinger is teased continuously starting with Heavensward yes. These raids are all about how sucking the Aether from the planet would doom it. It's not until Endwalker that we find out why.

Seeing as the defs said they didn't even fully made the story of EW untill after the drop of 5.0, you can safely assume that the story was non even in the making back then.
This is one of my favorite music tracks in the game... The trumpets & horns hit differently the first time you hear them, the base lines slap, the lyrics are fun and wacky. Seriously just an incredibly fun track.

I love how Normal victory scene has the characters facing away from the explosion like a badass out of a movie, but the Savage has them doubled over in sheer exhaustion after how much the whole fight kicked their ass.

When the fight started just with the middle unit I was like “nah this can’t be it.” Then the four robots from earlier started showing up and I was like “ah we’re gonna have to fight them all at once, that’s kinda cool”, and then they started levitating and “OH MY GOSH THEY’RE DOIGN A F***IN VOLTRON!!!”
so in “locus” it mentions an incomplete transmission. I wonder if the “Falling back right into the system” part here is intended to be the complete message. Cuz that part sure sounds like Endwalker talking, better to die than fall to despair again
I always feel like there's a bit of a sadness to this fight. Not only does Brute Justice and its theme represent something no doubt the majority of players grew up with, but in anything else, Brute Justice would be the hero. It all gives the feeling that you're fighting a team of anime protagonists taking their last stand and hoping the power of their friendship pulls them through.
**EW SPOILERS** So I may be reaching but I feel there's been some foreshadowing to EW in this song. It all begins with the lyrics "Celestial Noise detected" Not sure what the delirium but means but the rest of it goes: "static turned into reason, time in the aether deepens, Transmissions blink uncompleted, Seven two three two three " It could definitely refer to the morse code heard at the end of crystal tower, upon Nero's scanner thing picking up a transmission as he's walking off, which translated to "It's all wrong" Makes me wonder if there are any subtle hints building up to EW in the other two expansions.
I sincerely doubt they had THAT far ahead planned out that they knew there were going have the Endsinger... But it is definitely something that retroactively does fit in. Also, "Transmissions blink uncompleted" because of the time travel involved, that could also refer to G'Raha trying to contact the Source from the First... It did take him about a hundred years to actually get through to anyone. Now if you wanna go way deep into speculation and crackpot conspiracy land, looking up letter lengths in Morse, 7 2 3 2 3, 7 could be W or K, 3 S or T and 2 can only be I... So one of the possible ones spelled with those would be W I S I T....
@@themindkiller9030 the meteions plan was to stop the universe entropy, interrupting the cycle of death and rebirth (since in ff 14 when you die your soul goes to the planet's "core" and then you born again) it would means that after the death, you will not born again, hence you will stay indefinitely in the aether core of the planet, going "deeper" as the times goes by since you cannot leave (reborn)

They dropped hint about ppl being tempered by bahamuth while he was still imprisoned in dalamud at the end of 1.0 and confirmed it during the bozja questline. i wouldn't be surprised if they planned that far head. it's a mmorpg after all, they problably have everything planned for the next 2-3 years. also alexander visited different dimensions and timeline, choosing the one of the WoL as the best possible, probably because alexander knew what was going to happen and we stood a chance

When the fight started just with the middle unit I was like “nah this can’t be it.” Then the four robots from earlier started showing up and I was like “ah we’re gonna have to fight them all at once, that’s kinda cool”, and then they started levitating and “OH MY GOSH THEY’RE DOIGN A F***IN VOLTRON!!!”
so in “locus” it mentions an incomplete transmission. I wonder if the “Falling back right into the system” part here is intended to be the complete message. Cuz that part sure sounds like Endwalker talking, better to die than fall to despair again

I always feel like there's a bit of a sadness to this fight. Not only does Brute Justice and its theme represent something no doubt the majority of players grew up with, but in anything else, Brute Justice would be the hero. It all gives the feeling that you're fighting a team of anime protagonists taking their last stand and hoping the power of their friendship pulls them through.

So I may be reaching but I feel there's been some foreshadowing to EW in this song.
It all begins with the lyrics "Celestial Noise detected"
Not sure what the delirium but means but the rest of it goes:
"static turned into reason,
time in the aether deepens,
Transmissions blink uncompleted,
Seven two three two three "
It could definitely refer to the morse code heard at the end of crystal tower, upon Nero's scanner thing picking up a transmission as he's walking off, which translated to "It's all wrong"
Makes me wonder if there are any subtle hints building up to EW in the other two expansions.
Dynamis can also be alluded to with "time in the aether deepens" but I know Alexander is all about time travel so who knows
I sincerely doubt they had THAT far ahead planned out that they knew there were going have the Endsinger... But it is definitely something that retroactively does fit in.
Also, "Transmissions blink uncompleted" because of the time travel involved, that could also refer to G'Raha trying to contact the Source from the First... It did take him about a hundred years to actually get through to anyone.
Now if you wanna go way deep into speculation and crackpot conspiracy land, looking up letter lengths in Morse, 7 2 3 2 3, 7 could be W or K, 3 S or T and 2 can only be I... So one of the possible ones spelled with those would be W I S I T....
@@themindkiller9030 the meteions plan was to stop the universe entropy, interrupting the cycle of death and rebirth (since in ff 14 when you die your soul goes to the planet's "core" and then you born again) it would means that after the death, you will not born again, hence you will stay indefinitely in the aether core of the planet, going "deeper" as the times goes by since you cannot leave (reborn)
@@FrozenSolid90 they dropped massive hints to SB, Elidibus and his link with the Echo in the post-ARR. They dropped hint about ppl being tempered by bahamuth while he was still imprisoned in dalamud at the end of 1.0 and confirmed it during the bozja questline. i wouldn't be surprised if they planned that far head. it's a mmorpg after all, they problably have everything planned for the next 2-3 years.
also alexander visited different dimensions and timeline, choosing the one of the WoL as the best possible, probably because alexander knew what was going to happen and we stood a chance
