Love the ‘Wanted List’ rather than just tracking acquired. I think it also will create a moment for me to pause and evaluate whether it’s needed or really wanted. Thank you for sharing your idea, thoughts, creations, and experiences!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this video. Your voice is so calming, and this whole process has encouraged me to make some swatches of my own for several of the watercolors that I use. Looking forward to more!
That glob of ink is mould. I would not put that one in a pen! For some reason Monteverde and Private Reserve have a real problem with this. Monteverde was supposed to have fixed it after 2019. I do like that Moonstone colour and the bottle I have is still good after two years.
I loved Monteverde Copper Noir this past fall. I preferred it over Diamine Autumn Oak. I've been eyeing Rose Noir for some time and will be interested in which pen you fill.
Copper Noir is very tempting! I'll poke around and see if you've reviewed it on your channel. I know it's a fave of many of my favorite RUclipsrs, and it's certainly in my wheelhouse.
Mari hi again, It occurred to me to ask if you have a chemistry or biology department at your school. If yes, if you still have that bottle of suspect ink, it would be good to know, one way or the other, if it is indeed moldy or has some other identifiable issue going on with it, and perhaps someone in one of those departments could slide a sample under a microscope or do some testing to let you know the verdict. That way you would be better able to distinguish between moldy ink, which I consider a serious problem akin to m*ths in wool yarn, or if there is just some harmless funkiness going on though I would tend to THINK that a gloppy substance spells trouble more than say seeing fragments/particulates that might just be dye particles separating in the liquid suspension. If you are able to verify what is going on, I’d really appreciate it if you would share your findings with us to help us be better informed about what we might encounter in our bottles/samples. Hope your day is going well!
What a great idea, @kathykane4982! I will. I've cut the swatch page out of my notebook and disinfected all tools I've used, but it's currently still in my discard pouch waiting for me to take it to the recycle bin. I will absolutely take it to work tomorrow and borrow a science expert. Will post here with any results. Thanks again, and have a great weekend!
@@scribblesandinkstains btw, I (kathy kane) finally made a YT channel, so thanks for subscribing today! I miss your videos, but I can understand stepping back! Hope you're well.
@@Neko-KittyLovesFountainPens that’s so cool that you now make content! I’m slowly getting back into it, but it’s hard to know where to jump back in after such a long break. My mother started having some very serious health crises starting last August, and I’ve needed to divert most energy to processing and helping where I can. Your kind words made my day! 💕🌸🖋
@@scribblesandinkstains Oh Mari, time is never our friend, is he? I hope your mother is feeling well, and I'll keep you both in my thoughts. 💗 As to YT, I think anything you post would be welcome ~ some watercolor swatching, some brief writing samples of an ink or two, a glimpse at some freshly rinsed pens, a collage in your journal, some flowers from your garden ~ anything that is easy. Be well. 🌻🌻🌼🌼🌺🌺🌸🌸
Thanks, lots of excellent info in the comments about #sitb (slime in the bottle). I’ll let Vanness know… the last thing they’ll want to do is ship bad batches. What a shame…

Great upload friend 💐💐💐
Thank you so much 🙂
I love the word “goobery!” I’m adding it to my vocabulary straight away 😂

Thank you so much for your uplifting words!
Sooo good. TFS 💫
Thanks for watching!
I would love to see your March and April currently inked!! ✨✨✨
Thank you for your kind words 🐇🌸💕. I had a camera card disaster in March, but April is current uploading to RUclips, and I love the color palette!
Yayyyy!!!
Loved that ink wash sunflower ❤
Brandy Dazzle is one of my favorites
Thanks; I'm still figuring out ink and wash :)

Thanks for the heads up. I'll let Vanness know so they don't send out to other customers...
Yep I've had 2 out of 8 monteverde inks go bad in less than 2 years. Now I always check the top of the ink before shaking it to check for floaters

I was just coming here to say that I would not use the Monteverde ink because it might be moldy. Please be very, very careful with it!
