I mean yes its cute to see a little fan take some laps but it has nothing to do with the sport itself..so thats really not the reason why people love hockey 😂
Black Salami bruh probably less than 30 people out of 20000 in the arena threw bracelets on the ice. Also, breaking silences is usually just one inconsiderate person followed by maybe 10 loudmouths, but that’s it. This happens throughout a lot, if not most of the fanbase in every sport. Every game has some bad apples for fans, and those fans get magnified to the nth degree, especially in Philly. Now regarding the original comment, nobody would boo the kid doing laps; they’d be cheering him. I recommend you watch Flyers fans give a very loud and lengthy standing ovation to Mario Lemieux, a Penguin that torched Philly, after his final game before his first retirement, it was a very classy tribute.
i love that everyone was cheering the kid. He got to skate with Lidstrom next to him and chirp the 'Nucks bench and they gave him a good job. man i love hockey
What a clip. Kid skates by the Canucks bench, Ken Daniels saying “with all the injuries, you might as well put him in”, then the caterpillar on the refs face. All timer.

Humans cheering for a child isn't exclusive to hockey.
@Kim No, it's classy because of the sport. And hockey is not all white. Take your ra ism and go back to the 1950s
@Kim ok Karen
I love how the players were givin him taps with their sticks....so great that they acknowledged him and werent blowing him off

loved how he cussed out the opposing bench
That was awesome. Bonus - he learned a life lesson. Sometimes it is better to do the deed then ask forgiveness.
Wow, this kid will never forget this, so cool. I wish I got this opportunity.
0:18 "Yeah you're lucky im getting off the ice!"
He should’ve done a Hanson brothers move and dragged his stick across the faces of the opposing team.
his skating is very good! His parents must be proud of him!
This kid's definitely going places
i love that everyone was cheering the kid. He got to skate with Lidstrom next to him and chirp the 'Nucks bench and they gave him a good job. man i love hockey
9 years later it recommended it to me
The kid’s probably in junior hockey now as he is turning or turned 16 yrs old
Gotta love when teams do that, bet ya can't get the smile off that kids face gotta love it
Referee: - Ok kid you have had your fun. But if you don’t get off the ice now then I will put you in the suspension box.
More of this around the world please
It's really cool how all the players were reaching out for high fives and stuff. That'd NEVER happen in the NBA.
Shoot, Lebron would have them thrown out!
Well it's kinda tough to skate on a hardwood court.
Wait, are you THAT Jerry Sandusky? From Penn State?

Gionta got traded to Detroit?!
It took me way to long to get that joke.

The true meaning of pure hockey
I like to think he chirped the canucks bench on his way out lol
Even the Canucks are cheering him on. :)
The title should read "Gionta dons Red Wings sweater".
The last line from the commentator was awesome.
"Red Wings have had so many injuries, might as well put him in!"
Best line ever.
Who would seriously dislike this?
It’s George

I can't be the only one who was expecting him to be checked into the boards out of nowhere
Was that JJ Mazza?!
You sir, win the comment of the day.
If I'm not mistaken , that boy is 46 yrs old now.

I find this really amusing. Good to see hopefully future NHL players being supported by their local teams.
He’d be a top 6 forward if he was on the Sabres …
Just living his best life! if that had been an adult, security would have been chasing him around the ice.

I see I am not the only one thinking he was chirping at the Canucks bench.
They should have whispered in his ear for him to skate to center ice and square up for the face off

hey Hockey players stick together!!! way to go kid....
Rare footage of Gionta as a red wing
that was a better performance than sheehans entire season.
