He didn't fight her, he calmly grabbed her hands and put them behind her back to cuff her (literally all on video), then she proceded to pull and tussle. Again, it's literally on video in front of you. What do you think is the right thing for the cop to do at this point? Let her go? He has to handcuff her...

I know exactly how that kids feels. I saw my mom resist the police and get forced into a police car when I was small. It took a long time to realize the cops weren't in the wrong, she was.

Not enough video to make concrete conclusions, but he sure did seem to arrest her for no valid reason.
Talking nice and sweet and being sweet to the kid after assaulting his mom, this cops a piece of garbage while he assaults and kidnaps you by force.
There was zero call for the cops behavior (based on this video footage).
Maybe the full inedited footage shows her breaking the law or him having some reason to assault, "arrest", and kidnap her, but it sure isn't in this youtube video.

I'm not American either but I do understand. She's in a traffic stop and whilst there, she has to obey the cop whilst he does any investigation. She didn't. Hence she's detained, not arrested, detained with cuffs for her own safety. Turns out she is resisting, which is an offence. So she gets arrested. Simple.

This cop was just looking for an excuse-they get promotions for more charges. Jessica may have been impaired, but if a cop would see their job as being a Peace Officer (an alternate title for Police in the past) -they could easily de-escalate a situation like this, instead of traumatizing the children.
She’s obviously impaired and the cops won’t let someone like that go because then it’s a liability on them. Just imagine if they let her go and she crashed killing one of your family members. Then you discover that the cops let her go. That’s a multimillion dollar lawsuit

I really dont get why this cop put his hands on her. We are free people. Poor behaviour or disliking her look or demeanor is not reason to lock her in chains. Arrests like this should only made because of imminent threat.

Isn't it innocent until proven guilty? I am not anti police but it's disturbing to me how people side so readily with authority against freedom and then read history and wonder why or how could states be allowed get so cruel. We are in Orwellian times where if I am even suspected of having the wrong opinions, my house can be searched, property taken, freedom deprived. The woman did not want to leave her child on their own. Something the cop should have understood and accomodated.
