Manager of the theatre said they were causing a disturbance, which they absolutely were doing. Perfectly w/in the right of someone acting in that capacity to ask someone to leave under that cicumstance. And to request the assistance of law enforcement in carrying out that request. Just as what was shown this week on college campuses, a miniscule number of selfish fools have no right to attempt to trample all over the rights of hundreds or thousands of other people's rights to utilize an entertainment or a service for which they have already paid.

As was already stated, and which you so blindly and conveniently didn't even comprehend, they were asked by the manager of a private business establishment to leave, which was ABSOLUTELY his right. The old biddies refused. Then, law enforcement was called, which was also the right of the business's managerial representative, in order to assist in that TOTALLY LEGAL request. At this point, arguing with a cop is a "really futile and stupid gesture" (to quote actor Tim Matheson in the character of "Otter"), from the movie "Animal House". By that time, these two old windbags had racked up enough charges against them for their "futile and stupid gestures", that the cop was justified in arresting them on the spot for any number of charges. Gotta problem with that, the old busybodys should've taken it up in court, or started a LEGAL complaint with the local police department. PERIOD. CASE CLOSED.

You can't charged with "resisting" because that particular crime doesn't exist. You can't be charged with resisting arrest until you are placed under arrest. "Snatching" an id from a cop - provided no assault or battery happens is a nothing charge. This lady is gonna walk.

I feel like I’ve also had an interaction with those two Carens…. they sat behind me in a movie theater and were kicking my seat….. they got mad when I moved, kept talking about me so I ended up leaving.
The movie theater refunded me and gave me tickets to a different show.
She wasn't being arrested so how can she be charged with resisting?
Intentionally obstructing an officer in detaining someone. They were in the middle of a police interaction that was not concluded. The officer had possession of their IDs to prevent them from attempting to leave while he issued them a citation. When the woman took it upon herself to snatch the documents from the officer she ceased being cooperative and escalated the situation from a non-criminal trespass warning to either a Class A misdemeanor or felony resisting charge (depending upon jurisdiction and history of prior offenses). If you’re being detained you don’t get to decide when you can leave, the officer does.
