My scx10.2 is just boring at home because it walks over everything here lol. 😂
yupyup, I like my modded Redcat Sumo 1/24 a lot same reason, and it's got the 4 mode steering. not quite as good for center clearance even with larger wider offset tires/rims, so you have to watch a little closer picking its path.
@@modelnutty6503 model nutty oh yeah I've had 5 redcat sumo micro crawler but never kept them just to slow for the loose terrain here. But I did do a running video or 2 of the sumo crawlers to lol.

I've seen a lot of video's on lowering the CG of the SCX24. BUT, I have yet to see one that shows the climbing angle capability before and after. I have one of these and will be doing some upgrades. I have tested the angle of climb and the roll over angle on an ironing board with a standard cover and I've also weighed it; total and front and rear weights to see the actual weight distribution before and after. I am anxious to see the results before and after. I think what you have done looks effective and cost effective at the same time. I think Axial could have done a better job of lowering the CG's of the individual components but cost considerations have a lot to do with that. I am sure they had their reasons for mounting components so high. Thanks for the video!

For all my batteries I just use Velcro tape to hold them in place. I put a piece on the battery and the other piece on the battery tray.I took out the Velcro strap that come with my rc trucks,it works great and removing the batteries is much faster and easier now.

Curious, tried this but battery sets on the trans output? Drive line yoke rubs it.

Thanks-could be the newer battery is thinner allowing it to slide down further. Regardless something to note. Did something similar, relocating batt/receiver and getting rid of stock trays to AX24 and worked slick. Seen this video and motivated me to try on newly acquired deadbolt. Likely glue a piece across rails to keep up a bit, hmmm, or piece of the now unused batt tray mounted between rails. Give a place to use velcro to hold batt and up. Cool . Thanks again for the video.

What charger do you use? Mine is broken now after one charge. Looking to get something that charges faster. Still new to R/C so I'm unfamiliar with some things still

do you think it would benifit from some loose B.B.s in the tires... like 20 bbs in each tire?
Hi it may but i don't like that method your better off using some led in the inside of the back of the wheels... but with my wide track mod and all this super low CG mod I think it works great now because you take out some weight but the bulk of it is now sitting much lower in the chassis...mine now climbs angles like my TRX4 sport!
