- As a result of debug tolerance testing I put together a video I hope will help people better understand the building system so they can support bigger structures with less frustration.

Same. I've watched a few others, but the key thing I'm getting from this is that I need to put the support posts in the ground, not into the foundation. This might be the game changer I've needed because trying to understand the mechanics of this until now has been like that lady looking around confused while batshit math floats around...
600 hours in the game and I never understood you could use "Core wood" that way....super helpful, as there is no actual building explanations in game.

I was raging for like 15 mins then I looked up this and realized I can use some core wood and I can attach it to the terrain other than my raised floor

I've been in my world over 1 year. Just found my second sunken crypt. Sailed for days, only to remember you need the key in your pocket, not a chest at main base 😜
lol I've been there myself. This is how I learned to carry portal mats with me :P
@@FrankTheTankGaming i managed to get 46 iron out of it earlier. It was a tiny crypt with 5 piles of scrap in it. It did however give me location for 3rd boss. He is twice the furthest distance i've been from spawn island lol
@@myview5840 that sounds pretty lucky! No spoilers, but I'd advise you stay in that "era" for a long while and prepare hard -- with lots of poison resist mead lol
@@FrankTheTankGaming i'm super taking it slow. I drifted close to the plains, was chased by a deathsquito sailed away only for it to disappear and be replaced by a sea serpent, i landed in meadow with plains next to it, jumped on a rock and watched some troll things fight the sea serpent and trash my boat. Fun times lol
I want to build a stone structure that is between 16 and 20 1x1 blocks high. Can I do it using steel/wood logs? My friends I play with on Valheim had mixed comments.
does core wood require repair like regular wood once you build a structure?
The only reason you need to repair regular wood structures is if you don't have a roof over it
