Glad to see both of you happy 😊 with the excellent progress you're making with the end in sight. I'm praying for God to give the strength to complete and enjoy your mansion. You're an inspiration and I will be reaching out to you for the finishing of my house in Accra🙏🏽❤
I admire your great attention to detail regarding the cost of each item, fixture, supply. Hopefully you had also calculated the cost to own and/or run all the lighting, A/C, appliances, etc. per year; also the maintenance. Those are often not taken into account until the build is complete, and one finds the cost of simply OWNING and maintaining a house of a certain size is more of an ongoing issue than the one-time build cost. Haven't watched ALL of your wonderfully detailed videos, but hopefully you've incorporated energy-saving items such as LEDs, solar, etc. into your build. Lovely home, so far! Looking forward to watching the landscaping and gardening videos! All the best, from a fan in NYC.
Very important information regarding the surface mounted vs the recess light, I wasted so much money buying these things from America and I couldn't use them downstairs
Being on site to plan each activity is very important as you mentioned. Had some bad experiences with a plumber and carpenter who didn't apply some judgement
Electrical fittings look good, l believe the snag on the neon light switch can be easily fixed. You have done well project managing. I like the fact that earth electrodes are accessible for testing 👍
I also saw the nursery you're doing.Glad you're not entombing the entire ground in concrete. We could always do with more environmentally conscious people like you
Congratulations and good job. What an amazing journey, as always thanks for sharing. Quick question though, where did you guys buy the gate, and wall lights
Great work so far Asher and Gad!! I have been an ardent fan of yours since pouncing on your journey back to the roots. Please this question is out of genuine curiosity with respect to the new layer of purchased soil above the original foundation of your magnificent edifice. Ques 1: Does your beautiful edifice stand the risk of having water seeping through all sides walls on the ground floor since the outer or inner plastering is not water proof and thus defeats all attempts at the foundation level to stop water seeping through the concrete floor or foundation level Maybe the foundation height ought to have been factored in owing to the geological factors in play around your neck of the woods as alluded to. Again with your depth of knowledge and a supportive better half, I rightly presume you already have measures in place to counteract any worse case scenario if any should it become a nuisance in the future. Also, I did not see any weather resistant sockets on the roof level to be electrically connected for your relaxing pleasure
Question. Are the universal (UK style) sockets and appliances standard for Ghana houses? And how does their voltage compare to the 112 volt sockets we use for small appliances here in America?
They are same ones as in the UK. I got mine from the UK due to the Kite standard. Manny of ones in Ghana are from china and are prone to failing or even catching fire do not skimp on this.... *ALSO VERY IMPORTANT* make sure they put RCB (Residual Circuit Breaker) in the main fuse box this way if any of the sockets or appliances go faulty it will quickly shut down that part of the circuit and prevent a house fire. PLEASE INSIST that your electrician fits it EVEN IF HE/SHE SAYS IT IS NOT NEEDED!!!!!!
@@winstonellis3665 Just one more question please sir. Wall sockets except for heavy appliances like stoves are 120 volt in the U.S. I’ve heard some where they are much higher in UK style sockets (like 200 or something) Is this true? Is that for all UK style house sockets? I’ve always been confused about that.
What size swimming pool are you planning on installing and what estimate have you been given. I'm planning to have a pool on my plot in the near future
@@kingstal90 after watching your video, I've made a purchase for a voltage regulator like yours from China. That's, glad I saw your video. Next is solar!!

Absolutely. These are some of the mistakes that can be made during building, especially if you are not on the ground.

Your house is beautiful, the dark tiles on the stairs make it too dark and hide the beautiful design of the stairs, instead of dark tiles it should be the same light colour as the wall to enhance the stairs design.
I thought so as well, then I concluded they probably wanba protect it from dirt.
Dee I am glad you agree with me, thank you, yes the black area along the stairs doesn't enhance the staircase I hope they change it.
