The intellectual level of Vladimir is higher then all U.S presidents combined over 100 years. His eloquent output makes anyone sitting in front of him, look and sound like a novice. Putin's Understanding, interaction , cleverness , formulating , knowledge, interest and leadership are unmatched in current world politics. And all the U.S is doing is making that much more obvious by presenting themselves on a plate to him.
You cannot be a KGB officer in so many years and be "dumb". To be not just a spy btu an officer too means that you do possess a certain level of intelligence and detain sensitive informations that the majority of the population do not have.

Everything she asked and deduced was based on "if", assumption, or imagination. Not to mention the whole dialog was clipped in favor of her arrogant intention, if the interviewee was not a person smart as Putin, he or she and some audiences would be tricked around by the groundless logic.
What really bothered was the high moral ground she was standing on. As if the US never interfered or even destroyed and decimated for good entire nations and millions of people. Russia never caused one tenth of the harm caused by the US or wreaked as much havoc - globally.

How about the direct misrepresentations of things that were actually said - caught on tape - during the interview. Megan says "x" to Putin; Putin responds that he did not say "x"; Megan says, "Yes, you JUST said that!"; Putin, again, says, "NO, I DID NOT SAY THAT. WHAT I SAID WAS..." and proceeds to set Megan straight on her lie.
