So thoughtful that you reached out and asked about filming there, considering their no photo policy. I've seen videos that people sneaky made, and that's so shady. It pays to just ask respectfully

Thank you so very much Tori for sharing your thoughts time and energy with us. I will be visiting Paris in late September 2024, I am 53, Aboriginal Australian award winning poet who has dreamed of visiting this beautiful iconic bookstore since I was in my early teens at high school. You are beautiful. You have amazing taste and enthusiasm for quality literature. With much respect and gratitude. 🙏🏽 📚🇫🇷🌏☺️

I went to Paris in 2017 and was so excited to visit this bookstore as well! One of my fave purchases the whole trip was a book that had an English translation included with the original French text. I was surprised at how this small bookstore was though.

We had a group that raveled to Paris this past summer and we had a list of things to do while we were there with a schedule to keep. Unfortunately the line outside the get into the store was really long so we couldn't get inside in a timely manner. Loved your review though. I always said that the most peaceful place on earth is the 2nd floor reading room by the window over looking Notre Dame Cathedral.

I went there in 2013 but I only had a few minutes, so I was so rushed I couldn't decide if I wanted to buy anything...I have always wished I would have taken my time and bought a good book. Your footage was awesome! It helped me vicariously have the visit I wish I would have had those years ago 🥰

Shakespeare and Co actually inspired my first month of content, as their cafe placemat has the Proust Questionnaire, which I turned into a series to help me get over being such a beginner 💕🤗

I really want to go to this bookstore one day, I only live in London so no excuse! I hope you end up enjoying the Farseer trilogy, it was one of my favourites last year. If you do, and you then want that edition, you can actually get the whole trilogy in that illustrated edition on Wordery (not owned by amazon) for much cheaper 😉

So glad they let you film for this video! The team over there is really nice! I think you should have gotten that beautiful book by Hobb if it was a stand alone. Looked gorgeous!! Next time you home to Paris we’ll meet up and I’ll show you around my favorite English Nook shops. Ugh? Can this pandemic be over already?!

To the commentator, may I suggest these books? The first is “Children of Blood and Bone,” by Tomi Adeyemi. Another book is a book called “Fated” by Benedict Jacka. By the way, loved your video. Great energy.
