• Homework Answer :-
1) a1 = 5/3 , a2= a , a3= 2
d = a -5/3....(i) and d= 4 - a....(ii)
After equating the equation (1) and (2) we get,
= a - 5/3 = 4 - a
After solving the equation, a = 17/6
Therefore, 5/3 , 17/6 and 4 are three consecutive terms of an A.P
2) a = 1 , b = -1 , c= -4
a + b = 1 ...(i) And ab = -4 ...(ii)
By simplifying the equations (1) and (2),
= 1/a + 1/b - ab
=(b+a/ab) - ab
= (1/-4) - (-4)
= ( -1 /4) +4
= 4 -1/4
= 16 -1/4 = 15/4
Therefore, the correct answer is 15/4

@ 11:24 HCF will be 2a²b², that is option A.
1) According to ques
AP = 5/3,a,4
Therefore
a-5/3=d
a-5/3=4-a
After solving we got a=17/6.
2) a+b=1
ab=-4
By simplifying
1/a+1/b-ab
We got
(a+b/ab)-ab
(1/-4)-(-4)
(1/-4)+4
1-16/-4
-15/-4
15/4 is the correct answer.
