I love that you show a simpler style first, and some fun ways to complicate the pattern second. I think it's a really smart teaching style, and also the boots are so darling. Thank you for sharing this video!!!
That's so kind of you to say, I appreciate it ^_^
Can't wait until I get the tools I need to try out these patterns. Lovely work, Beth! Tysm!
You are so welcome! You'll get a good start just with needle and thread, leather and something to pre-poke the holes, before needing to many other tools, I hope you have fun sewing them! ^_^
What a mesmerising tutorial, very meticulous as expected, the shoes are so cute!!
Thank you so much Jay! It was a long time coming! XD I really enjoy sewing these tiny boots.
Thank you so much . As mentioned before me too have not seen so excellent and detailed video. I am so moved from your help. Thanks again.
You are so welcome! I'm really glad it'll be helpful for you ^_^
What amazing timing - I was literally about to try and figure out how to do this - I have all the supplies at hand and ready! Thanks so much for this video! ❤
Oh that's so lucky! I'm very happy that it came at the right time for you ^_^ Happy sewing!!
What a beautiful tutorial the boots are soo nice I love the worn look the leather has. Great video and work ☺️✨🌟.
Thanks so much!! Yes if you can find a nice textured leather they end up looking so realistic, love them ^_^
👍💯...Absolutely the BEST tutorial for doll shoe making I have seen so far !
If I can't make these little shoes after watching this..then I will go barefoot and let the dollies have MY shoes to warm their tiny feet. 😄
Hehehehehe!! Thank you so much, that's so kind! Well I hope you still have your shoes!! 🤞🏼😅
Hey, I’m your lovely mum 😊, wonderful video! Love you! 💕
Hehehe, just checking to make sure you’re really watching 😉🤪🤣 love you too! ♥️
You did such a good job, mama! She’s a treasure ❤
Aww ❤ so sweet. You both are so talented
Perfect timing! I have a Licca who could really do with a lovely pair of boots (and Blythes as well of course) 🥰❤️. It was great to see how they fitted on the Barbies as well (and Sindy).
Got the pattern, printed it out and laminated the pattern sheet courtesy of a charity shop £5 laminator 😄.
Thanks so much! I'd been hoping you would create a cute boot pattern. ❤️❤️❤️
I love it when things like this turn up at the right time ^_^
Oh you're so organised!! Have loads of fun sewing them!
Fantastic tutorial Beth, thank you very much.
Thank you Irene! ^_^
Awesome! They are so cute! I have a few of those leather punch tools I purchased a few months ago. I do love using the smaller ones.
They're very helpful when working with leather! I'd tried just pushing through with the needle directly before and it was such tough work! XD
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much! ^_^
Excellent sewing.
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for sharing your tutorial. You are a good teacher, very thorough, and as always, your work is very neat. The lasts you are using to mold around are a great idea and the patterns you have drafted are very clever. I am vegan so won't be using skins, I wonder if there is another material that I might try? Thank you again, Laurie
Thank you so much! You could try this with some different fabrics instead, if you were able to use fabric glue to stiffen up the fabric on the toes you might get the same effect?
In fact, I used Worbla (thermoplastic) to make hard toe-caps for my Smart Doll boots recently, I wonder if a hard inner toe-cap could work for you too? Let me know if you give it a try! ^_^
that is a great idea! Thanks@@BethRamsden
A wonderfull tutorial, thankyou for sharing, maybe i will actually get round to makiang some at some point 🥰🥰❤❤
Thanks so much Sara! Definitely give it a go, you really don't need many specific tools to get started ^_^
Hello! I'm on My second failed attempt at these, as the little stitch holes seem to melt away in softer leathers. I have a little punch like yours on order and I'm SO excited to try again with some proper little stitch holes! 💙 Thank you for the patterns and tutorials. Determined and inspired. - Shann
Ohhh! I hope you have better luck with the next try! Is your leather quite thin too? You’ll nail it for sure!! 🪡🧵👞👞
Looks super cute ... Such a lovely time hearing your soothing voice too
Thank you so much Brayn! (I've been awfully unwell the last couple weeks so my voice isn't sounding great now, but fingers crossed I can shake it off soon!!)
Hope you feel better now. I'm glad you are able to upload this video nonetheless... It's very soothing for a lot of us
Это "спасибо мама" было безумно милым❤
Awww thank you ^_^ She is so supportive of my creative projects!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you lovely!
Would waxing the cord that didn’t go through the eyelet-having boots make a difference? Just curious. Wax + dolls do not a great combination make, but a little wax or water-based thread helper has helped me thread things?
Also, this was a mesmerizing tutorial. 😍😍😍
Thanks so much! That cord was already waxed, but was the same size as the eyelet holes, so I just needed a slightly narrower diameter 😅
