@@WhiskyNeighbour Thanks Jon! I am having a lovely long weekend but also a very thoughtful time. My 38 yo niece has been diagnosed with breast cancer and has surgery next Thursday. t will be 2 weeks Monday since her diagnosis. I think we are all in some shock. It's aggressive. I love her dearly and she struggles with alcohol overuse. Her older sis, my other precious niece, and I are going to walk this journey with her and abstain from all alcohol while she goes through surgery and chemotherapy - so several months. I want to support her and be there and the link between alcohol and breast cancer is undeniable - lots of evidence-based research and I drink with very cautious moderation for that reason among others. I will check in with my favourite RUclips whisky channels while going sober to support my niece and I am absolutely behind her 100%. I love her like a daughter. I speak of this concern a lot and advise cautious use of alcohol and I want to 'walk the talk' for my niece. I wish she didn't have a cancer or alcohol struggle but if I can help by being sober with her while she endures treatment I will do it in a heartbeat. Happy weekend Jon. Cheers.
I don't have any American single malt in my collection at all. Stranahan's does show up periodically, and right now a few stores have what might be a standard release, but nothing near my area. Looks like there's a sherry cask version, which I would like to try at some stage.
I think the wee cup that it comes with is just fun.

It's worth trying at some point. While I do enjoy this, I think I would chose a Westward over this. Still, this is good.
Nice review Jon. I have not had the Diamond Peak, but I have had Blue Peak, the orignal, and the Sherry Cask. These are very good, but the sherry cask is my favorite. However I think I like these ASM even better. Pfluger Single Malt, from Texas. Westward Single Malt, from Oregon. Andalusia Stryker Single Malt, ftom Texas. Virginia Distilling Courage & Conviction Cuvee Cask Single Malt, from Virginia. And lastly, Whiskey Del Bac Dorado pASM, from Arizona. Keep up the great videos. Cheers!

Thanks for the review. Always watch your channel since I am from Winnipeg and order a lot of bottles from AB. Just bought a bottle of Diamond Peak. Look forward to trying. Enjoyed the Cask Strength version. Agree on the new charred oak influence. Almost glad to live in Wpg. Would spend way too much on whiskey if I lived in AB.
