I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

I’m not on tik tok mainly because I really don’t like short form content. I would much rather watch an explanation of a product than have it quickly flash before my eyes.
My husband scoffed maniacally at me when my sleeve protectors arrived a few months ago. 😆 But screw him, he doesn’t know the misery of wet sleeves!
Those sleeve protectors are genius, I hate the water running down my arm when I wash my face.
I just cut the tops of old socks and use them on my whists😜
Unapologetically not on tic tok- I just couldn’t stand another social when it came out. I will only watch intentional, thought out, longer content. Like yours!

This is a great video concept. I wish more RUclipsrs would be honest about their fails and why. Viewers should be aware that RUclips, TicToc, etc. are chock-a-block full of shills, wannabe “experts”, and so-called “influencers”. As a consumer, we should regard much of what we see as advertising and take the images we’re seeing and all the ooo-ing and aaa-ing with a grain of salt. I wonder how many purchases have been made and then returned or discarded when the purchaser discovered the product was not the great and wonderful thing they were led to believe it was. I’m not anti RUclips or TicToc, I just feel it is important to realize that much of what we see-particularly in the realm of beauty products-is advertising and highly biased/fake reviews. I enjoyed some of the family silliness on TicToc during the lock down and I find RUclips can be a wonderful source of how to videos (helped me install my Nest security cameras-yay!), but I find there is just so much dishonesty or lack of transparency when it comes to wanting to sell us products.
I love the TF stick foundation. It blends out so beautifully and soft. I use a foundation brush for application. And then carry for long work days.
SDJ 62 bumbum cream was Mel Thompson favourite !!! The sleeves gadget will be lifesaver for us here at home . My son is autistic and a little drop of water on his clothes probably trigger on him past life memories from Titanic , such scandals he does .
The wrist bands are interesting and clever. My bathroom is/was a total disaster when washing my face at night and cleaning up all the water on the counter, floor and cabinets sides was insane (yes I am that person). I finally gave up and said if the sink area is going to look like I took a shower I just might as well just jump into the shower to wash my face at night, so that is what I do. I like it better in the end because I can really clean my face and truly make certain I have rinse everything off thoroughly.
I do like the TF foundation stick. For me is faster than regular cream foundation.

Omg wrist towels is a genius idea! One of things I hate the most and I always do since am so clumsy and unorganized is get my sleeves wet when doing my bedtime routine and then those wet sleeves really bother me and I can’t sleep until I change.

I heard Rob on MadAboutSkin saying they changed the formula on the LaRoche Posay cicaplast and that it doesn’t work as well for dry skin. Just wanted to bring that to your attention. Also heard the formula didn’t change in US so idk, still debating whether or not to repurchase. The Sol de Janeiro mist is supposed to be used on top of their Bum Bum cream (the fragrance is basically the same). I just got it in the mail today and I love it ❤️
I love mine as well! And the pink cream and mist! The first time I ever wore the original Bum Bum cream I was getting in bed next to my husband and he was like, "Why do you smell like a stripper?" Why does he know what a stripper smells like? Safe to say he loves it on me. I wear it more for him then me but still I love it! And i do have the actual perfume as well.
Not on tiktok, but you definitely influenced me to try the lash serum. I even picked up their brow serum too. I’ve only been using them for a few days, so it’s too soon to tell. But I’m excited!

The La Roche posey cicaplast baume is amazing for repairing the skin barrier, i watch the budget dermatologist here on RUclips, and she always recommends this😊 i only use TikTok for funny videos i don't use it for makeup reviews because i prefer RUclips for that
Dear Charlotte, I got the Tom Ford foundation stick as well and it has been sitting in my collection for months, I recently got it out again and I wore it yesterday and oh boy, my skin looked so beautiful and flawless all day. I hate swiping a foundation stick on my face as well that’s why I wasn’t enjoying it. Yesterday I used it using my smash box foundation brush (the brush is quite densely packed) so I picked the product up with the brush directly from the stick and slowly build it up in stippling motion rather than swiping it and it looked beautiful all day, I didn’t need to touch up and I didn’t even used a concealer (used the same foundation under my eyes to conceal as well with my BK beauty concealer brush) and I didn’t powder either, just powdered under my eyes to set that’s all. No setting mist either and 8 hours later my skin still looked juicy and skin like which I love to see 🫶 try it this way and I’m sure you will change your mind 😬

I really enjoy the original Bum Bum cream and mist. I sometimes add a tiny spritz of Kayali Vanilla 28. However, the cherry of the top, so to speak, is I add Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry. It never fails to get a compliment.
My daughter asked for Sol de Janero, and I agree completely with everything you've said! Does not last and it's very young smelling. Glow For It - OH YES!!! Thanks to you actually. I was using UK Lash and it is amazing, but I felt my lashes were long but not full. Glow For It I'm already seeing a difference, so thanks honey. I’m shocked to hear sol de janiero doesn’t last on you! I’m 41 and I absolutely love it! I use the spray and sometimes the body cream too and even just the spray alone lasts all day on me and my clothes. My clothes will still smell like it after being in the dirty laundry.

I’m super interested in trying a new safe but effective lash serum. This was excellent. Also, I LOVE when you see an eye look and think “what on earth is that magical palette?” and you already have it. I’m definitely pulling out moonlit seduction this weekend 😊

I have been using Cicaplast for awhile and not on Tim Tom so when I tried to rebut it everyone was sold out.I was stunned that not one store had any stock . The zinc in there helps the redness on your skin , zinc is in diaper cream and look it helps that area so your cheeks is no biggie .
Kazoo and Didgeridoos are essential items in construction projects. The builders round our way have to take compulsory H&S Training in how to use them😅😅

I’m definitely ordering the hair oil and think I’ll order the lash serum too, I use the Ordinary one at the minute and my brows have fully grown but my lashes haven’t. I do buy the Sol de Janeiro spray in no 68 because it has a similar scent to Bacarrat Rouge which is nice when I don’t want to keep wearing the expensive stuff 😂 xx
That’s the Bom Dia Bright - I think it’s a much more sophisticated scent than the original Bum Bum. I still end up using it as a room spray or quick mist, but I enjoy the fragrance. Definitely my favorite of the varieties.

I tried Tik To for a week and hated it, it was full of rubbish so deleted it. I much prefer youtube and instagram in general. Out of these the LRP cicaplast was the only thing I bought and it's my favourite night cream, I have now gone through many many tubes of it. I have very dry and sensitive skin and it works perfect to repair my skin at night.

I found this SO helpful! I don’t watch “the TikTok”, but do love Reels (because I’m in my 40s, natch), and often wonder if the hit items are still right for me. Your review of the Sol spray was right on - after testing it in store, I see why the kids like it, but it’s not for me at all.
I own the sleeve savers and I love them so much although admittedly they’re kinda extra 😂
The sol de janero 68 is my loo spray, it’s a replica of baccarat rouge 540, all the teens at the shopping centre are dripping in it.

I had so much fallout with Space Cowboy, I hate it! I replaced it with Colorpop I Heart This and it is more sparkly with no fallout! The terry sleeve protectors seem like a great idea, I always make such a mess washing my face.
Girl I am 61 and the thought of that app just drives me crazy! I have downloaded it a couple of times and just don't get it AT ALL so I just uninstall it..... my 12 yr old granddaughter is the right age for TikToc (is it even spelled right??) I do love the Sol De Janeiro at bedtime... doesn't waste my perfume

I love sweet gourmand scents so I repurchase Cheirosa 62 in the body cream over and over (it has vitamin C too which is a bonus). I’ve never gotten compliments on fragrance but I do with that one. I don’t like the body mist as well though and it definitely doesn’t have the lasting power but that’s why it’s cheaper. The body cream is insanely expensive so I only buy it twice a year in the Sephora sales.

@@BlingyBea it does leave the hair kinda greasy look, that’s why i use it in the 4th and 5th day of my hair wash , since the length always looks nice and clean more than the scalp!! It’s a lazy way to style my hair but looks polished and beautiful

FYI, the Cicaplast formula has changed in the past year (the new version is called Cicaplast Balm B5+, instead of just B5), and apparently it's not as good as the original one.

I have that bum bum spray but mines red I saw emily noel on youtube use it I only spray it on my hair I think the different colours smell different would use as a perfume spray xx
For more than 15 years I've been using tennis wristbands and sweatbands when removing my makeup (I do not play tennis), so it was only for that purpose 😅! Yours look nicer though ;-)

Nope, don’t do tik tok and generally hate the short quick vids on insta! I just can’t focus on what’s happening and have to watch them multiple times to even see a product, and that just ends up ruddy annoying me……and don’t get me started on the music! 🤯
Much prefer nice long thorough review videos and even actual written blogs and swatch images, that I can save and refer back to when I am shopping.
One pet peeve though (and it’s probably just me) is when people spend half the review reading out the marketing description and blurb about the product…..that I can read myself! I just want to know how it performs, swatches of the colours, demos, opinions etc, not wasting valuable time on something I can read anywhere. I do tend to just fast forward through those bits but that always shows you how much of the time is often spent on that.
Ps. Always used to use those urban decay glitter liners too and the singles years ago but then I found colourpop super shock shadows and didn’t look back when it comes to glittery, shiny, metallic, wet looking and topper shades. I’ve more recently gone on to more lux brands like PMG but still reach for those fairly often as easy one and done major impact eyes.

I have been hestitating for months, doubting wether I should get Urban Decay Space cowboy. It looks so beautiful in those video's, but I'm more of a palette kind of person, and I rarely reach for single eyeshadow. So would this be pretty enough to make me reach for it, even with a palette in front of me? Now I know the answer is probably no. Now I think it will end up in the back of the drawer, barely used. haha i also did the same thing got the same large bottle. it is quite synthetic smelling. i sold mine. we have the laroche pose stuff in the pharmacy here. i am not on tick tock but i dont like the smell of rosemary. dont you think that Pat Mcgrath also has an eye shadow that looks about the same?
