I think the looks are way too understated for what these provide. I would love to see the same exact look except with a gloss white finish while keeping the front black and copper. They do need to figure out a way to separate these speakers from the Reference line, as the differences are much bigger then people can expect while the price isn’t as big in difference. Maybe even rename the entire RP line altogether. But design. Make it standout from the other lines of speakers. I love the 8000s, they’re incredible speakers.
Andrew, here we are two years later and even with the new mark 2 being a more refined speaker, in my opinion, buying a pair of these today at $999, they are a great bargain or to quote you, “an insane value”, for music or home theater. This was another one of your many outstanding reviews.
Because of YOU I have bought them. They are now paired with a NAD C368. They sing, dance and display an extreme holographic sound for me! Thanks for eloquent reviews, I agree also on the lower volume listening!! (I’m used to crank up my music... not so much now)
Hey Andrew, this was a great review and has me considering these towers in the future. However, what really impressed me here was your vocabulary and wordsmithing. I found myself stopping midway through the video to just say damn, this guy is a true professional. The presentation and format here was next level and I just wanted to say how much I appreciate that. Keep up the great content!
I just got my pair of Klipsch RP 8000f a week ago, and i couldnt be happier with the sound quality of these speakers! Thanks for the tip, much appreciated! 😃
KLIPSCH 8000F Affordable check, nice looking check, kick ass check, versatility check, tonality check, Thank you Klipsch for giving to the masses nice products that normal Joe can afford and not ripping our skin for our hobby.as some other manufactures do.Thanks to Andrew for reviewing great gear that people can actually buy without selling a kidney.
Thanks for validating a purchase I made about 9 months ago. I’m extremely satisfied with my 8000Fs, but upon seeing the brown ones in this video, I almost regret not getting them in said color. You’re absolutely right- the imaging after proper toe-in is unreal.
My Klipsch RP8000Fs will be here tomorrow! Can't wait!! Pairing with the RP504C and 2 SVS pb-1000 pros for my front stage. All powered with the Yamaha rx-a3080.
I have these since a week and it is an absolute blast!!! I stream Qobuz through a chromecast stereo with an external DAC (shiit dac modi 3) and my beautiful Reisong Boyuu A10 tube amplifier (direct wired) at only a few watts per channel. I couldn’t be happier!
Andrew while orientating on new towers i came across your review. Then i started comparing reviews. Now a new proud owner of these towers. And you did not lie one single bit. I am in love, and in my opinion the slight warm mids give my vintage vinyl that little extra warmth they need.
@@xxleonxx187 They definitely have much better and lower bass responce than usual tower speakers in their price, also very lively and detailded highs and overall very pleasant sound that puts smile on face and I can't stop to listen song after song. The only problem is that some tracks have so much bass that my small room can't handle.
Haha I've gotten a warning already from one of my neighbors. With my sub, it feels like an earthquake is hitting my condo when I play hip hop or Electronica. Love my 8000F and 600m
I've had the 6000f's about a month and toe in is important to these speakers. Bass can be crazy boomy with some source material, almost unbearable at times, just have to turn the bass down and pull away from the the wall more. Very great value, incredible sound at low volumes and huge sound at high. Never maxed out but I'd never push it that loud for fear of the room collapsing!! I'd recommend these to anyone. Had the RP 600m's and loved them, however, just not enough mid bass for me. Andrew your videos are some of the finest reviews out there, your style, knowledge and verbage are second to none, keep it up.
Nice to read this! I’m waiting for delivery of 2 6000f’s. They were a lot less cash than the 8000f’s and when I did a side by side comparison, I thought, I can live with slightly less power. I know they will be so much better than my stock Onkyo front left and right speakers. Cheers.
I know that this is an older video but, I have always wanted these speakers! Today I had mine delivered and man, they are all that I hoped they would be! At $419 per speaker I had to pull the trigger! Yes I know that the newer version is out but the reviews don’t show a significant improvement and at the price? Thanks Andrew! I value your knowledge and opinions!
What receiver did you pair them with? Would a 50W per channel: 8-ohm, 20Hz - 20kHz, 0.08% THD, work for these or is it short-changing it? I basically need a 3.1 setup for a large room and thought these 8000s would work well. Or maybe I go 5000s?
I have the same speakers and love it. Are they perfect? No...but at that price range...you can't go wrong. Only thing I added an Emotiva BasX A3 and boy...they sound even better.
Omg, this one really hits home. I'm still rocking some 1999ish Klipsch Synergy KSF 10.5 towers. A 2-way tower with Tractix horn tweeter and dual 8in woofers. I guess they are definitely the ancestors of the 8000s in your review and so much of what you said is how I feel about them. I have always powered them with a 100wpc Carver TFM-15 that I purchased new in the early 90s. Thanks for reminding me to appreciate this hobby a little more often than I have been lately!
Beauty. I did a ton of research prior to buying some loudpeakers for dual usage. I ended up with kilpsch RP6000f's, and matching center channel. Both in walnut finish. They are fantastic sounding, but also add a gorgeous visual que to my living room. Next to my 75" TV, they dont look out of place size wise. Funny enough, before even hearing them, most people immediately say "wow!" when they see them!
I auditioned a bunch of tower speakers: Martin Logan’s, B&W, Dali, Kudos and and even The Forte IV, but the RP8000F mark II stood head and shoulders above them all, at least as far as my tastes are concerned, especially with modern metal, progressive rock and everything else I listened to through them. So I bought them! And I’m so ecstatic! I just can’t stop listening to them. They’re enthralling, so lively and filled with punch and power. And this is the video that made me want to check them out in the first place.
What ML's did you compare them to? I have RP-280F and have been waffling on moving to ML 40i or XT60i, but they are pricey and not sure I will feel the value of the upgrade. Also toyed with ML ESL, but heard positioning and directionality is even worse with those.
@@hdtvkeith1604 I think I auditioned the 60XTi. I found them dreadfully bright and shrill to be honest. Didn’t have the sound I was looking for. Those ribbons are really harsh. The Dali Opticons are far better balanced and sounded very well rounded. The Klipsch RP 8000Fs really packed a punch that the Dalis couldn’t. If you like the Klipsch sound, I’d say stick with it and just go bigger.
@@Lunarplex Thanks, and wow. Hard to imagine anything being more harsh than Klipsch tweeters. Goes to show Klipsch has tamed their high end finally as they were always bright. Maybe I will stick with my Klipsch for now, the Polk Reserve R700 is getting great reviews and measures very flat.
For stereo listening, I have a pair of RP-280F which is the prior generation of the RP-8000F; the 8000s have vented tweeters that help to turn the highs less harsh but the 280s sound as beautiful but require more work in the tow-in as you cannot put them directly towards you or you pay the price of harsh highs. I dare to say the 8000s and the 280s sound as good as many high end speakers for a fraction of the price; the music is so alive and the sound image (soundstage) is clearly 3D with good recordings; the sepakers dissappear and you just "see" the musicians in your listening room; they are THAT GOOD.
Andrew, the quality and content of your videos is by far some of the best out there. Thank you so much for the breath of fresh air! Happy Thanksgiving!
I tried the 8000 F and yes they are large and can over take the room. To my ears, I felt like I was driving 67 Camero on the drag strip. I ended up with Monitor Audio Silver 500. Now I’m driving a 67 Mercedes cruising down the road with a smile on my face.
I couldn't agree more with your entire review. I love my 8000's. I do Not use a sub for theater because the bass is so solid and deep, my neighbor know what movie I watched each night. ~peace~
I have a set of 8000's paired with a cayin s200. They sound amazing together. I live in a small house so the volume never needs to go up very high, the quality at low volume I find truly spectacular.
I just purchased these speakers and they were delivered on 11/24/20. I haven't opened them yet, I can't wait to hear them. I upgraded from some klipsch rb-61ii bookshelf speakers.
Bought these speakers for 900 bucks. I can't believe they're asking 1200-300 now. That being said, I love these speakers. They do everything you can want for music (rock, electronic, hip-hop) and movies. I ended up buying the RP-600m for the rear. Walnut looks great 👍
This is hands down the BEST review EVER of anything!!!!!! You made me want to buy it!!! In fact, I think I will. My sub just went out and this is just as good excuse as any. Bravo!!!!!
I watched this review last year, then I watched the video by Danny GR Research that points out some issues. I spent a day in a local shop auditioning some speakers that I had put in my list (RP8000F were not in it), then i thought what the hell lets give them a chance. The result was that I bought them immediately Incredible speakers sounded amazing in the shop and even better at home with my gear.
Wow, just watched his video's and Klipsch is all over the map. It made me cry as he has a RC-62 (I have a RC-62ii) and it made me cry that he can't even fix the poor design.
Many prominent brands throw harshness and fatigue onto your face and name it as detail and clarity , there you have it! You have so called perfect speakers for music!
Andrew, Great review! About a year ago I started looking for replacements for my Snell Acoustics XA and Dahlquist dq-10’s and unplanned trip to Best Buy happened me upon their “HIFI Room” where I encountered the Klipsch rp 8000f I wasn’t really pleased with the wood grain veneer and was about to walk out when the salesman walked in and said let me get those turned on for you. What I was hearing truly caught me off guard the positioning and setup was absurd but I keep thinking I think these could be really good! Went home did a bit if research and found out Klipsch builds these in piano black. I reached out to Safe and Sound and thought let’s give this a go. When they arrived the finish is very pleasing and much more audiophile stature. I have many different power sources but ultimately paired them with a NAD C388 As you said positioning is everything with these and the imaging is fantastic. The value for money aspect has me believing that these are the best thing to happen to me in this lousy Year 2020.
Great review! I have these for my hifi and you perfectly echo my assessment. I picked piano black to give it a more premium look to (try to) match its performance. I think they are an unbeatable value. From jazz at dinner to ripping off my face for dessert, these speakers do it all well.
Finally!!!! Watching this on my brand new RP-8000F-PB!!!!! Along with a brand new Parasound Hint 6. Haven’t even had a chance to really open them up yet, but already incredible and looking forward to turning up the dial!!!
what should Klipsch do to elevate these speakers- simple, add a separate mid range driver. That way, the dual 8's could be used for more dedicated bass. Edit- since purchasing a pair of the 8000's, I'm amazed at the low end these produce. I saw "dual 8" woofers" and thought, bass will be light/midrange muddied. But, to my surprise, not so. At the extreme upper limit of the woofers, they get shy, but not severely. And kick? Lol! You said it, Andrew- like a Clydesdale! Paired with my vintage Sony STR-V5, throwing full bass and loudness at them, they will rattle windows 2 floors away in my house. I'm used to 3 way, 12" woofer speakers, and these 8000's more than hold their own against them. Very impressed is an understatement. Great review, Andrew! 👍🏼
I wish you could review the gen II version. Side by side, the new one has more of a sense of openness, and seems smoother on the low end. Noticeable improvement in the tweeter - no harshness at all. More well behaved than other Klipsch towers outside of the Heritage models. I liked them so much that I ordered a pair. I would also like you to review the RF7 III.
Great review!👍 I recently purchased a pair of RP-280F on a closeout sale, abd they replaced an older pair of Fisher speakers from 1987. I am most pleased in their sound!
I think the fact that these are only a few hundred dollars makes people think they aren’t high end. I’m not saying they should raise the price - at least until after I buy them - but one way to make people think they are “better” is a higher price. Also, this deliver seems much more natural. Doesn’t come off as someone just reading a script. Thanks for the review. They are on my list.
I treat my 8000;s with dignity and respect they sound amazing with my Sumo audio amp and State of the art technics Su-a 200 pre amplifier thanks for the review
Using a set of RP 8000's along with a RP-504C CENTER CHANNEL & 8 KEF KHT2005.2 satellites powered by a McIntosh MX123, everything well broken in & set up in a 24' octagon shaped room with a LG OLED TV for viewing. Sound is SUPERB overall & the Atmos soundtracks have our guest jumping in their seats ... kind of fun to watch their reactions & a pure pleasure to listen to. The musical Jazz & Blues sounds are very pleasing as well. I'm no audiophile but when I hear "Oh My God" from guest at almost any volume it leave me without buyers remorse.
Side dish - I make an apple, sausage stuffing. It's basically a meal on its own, but I'm a big fan of anything with gravy on it. I'm trying a brussel sprout, dried cranberry, goat cheese salad today to give a little color to the meal without doing the green bean thing. I've owned a ton of multi-thousand dollar speakers, and since I no longer sit in my perfectly positioned chair, playing my freshly vacuumed record on a multi-thousand dollar turntable, smoking a cigar, and drinking scotch; I'm more about value now. I don't miss the million-dollar setups, which is good, I can't afford them anymore anyhow. I wouldn't change anything on these if it would increase the price. Based on your review, these are already the best bang for the buck and each additional dollar is probably past the starting point of diminishing returns. A nicer finish might be nice, but I'd just be thrilled at the quality sound-wise at under $1k Great review as always! Rational analysis!
I'd really enjoy a comparison of several Klipsch RP vs R models. It's harder for the end consumer to really gauge the difference, and the price difference leads a lot of people to go with the standard reference models when they may have been wanting a sound experience in the reference premiere range.
Got 8060 variant of these notably deeper cabinet to accommodate atmos and heavy as hell it self! Hooked em up to sony str-za3100es I love how they sound,600c center is on its way so I am slowly building 5.2.4 atmos setup for my self. This is my first klipsch ever and doing research I was afraid about brightness and "smile" curved sound, But coming from yamaha tsr-5830 and older JBL es80bk towers klipsch sound tighter thru out and bass response surprised me hits hard tight...excellent. Keeping yamaha for now it is HDMI linked to sony and act as musiccast/tidal/deezer box and I hope it can drive last two atmos speakers. Recently bumped on to this channel great stuff to watch and listen 👍👌.
Just purchased the Klipsch Reference Dolby Atmos Surroubd System from Costco. These tower speakers a notch (or two) below the RP 8000's but your review on these, along with dozens of your videos, really helped me in my purchase. Big Thank you for helping me get into the hobby Andrew and Kristi!
Hey guys, great review as usual! I recently purchased a pair of these speakers for my 2ch setup & have paired them with a Yamaha R-N803 D which i keep in the Pure Direct setting. I am totally blown away by the whole sound of this system with everything! Vinyl, CD, FM Radio, Internet Radio..... Everything!
Great job Andrew. I recently order a pair of 8000F, being an amateur I really didn't know what I was doing. I just knew they sounded great. You just reaffirmed that I made a good choice. Really wasn't sure what amp to buy to power these beasts so you really helped me there as well. I bought these more form finesse than to blow the walls down. I like listening to music at a moderate level and was looking for something where I could hear all the nuances without having to turn it real loud. I'm not used to spending a ton a money on gear so I was a little nervous buying these. Do I make the right choice? Thanks to your video everything you said is what I heard during the demo. Thanks for the excellent review.
These are very efficient speakers, don’t need a lot of power, mine are now almost a year old, they will sound good as soon as you get them, but they will get better with some hours on them. Very good choice for the money.
My favorite turkey day side dish is my grandmother's cornbread dressing which I plan to make for the first time tomorrow. Here's hoping I don't ruin it! Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Exact speakers I got. They are the best speakers I've ever owned in my life. Might be my last pair as well far as the front stereo is concerned. Great review 👌
My 8000s is paired with a NAD399. Fantastic, and the ability to listen at low volume with quick and punchy bass is incredible. ACDC to Vivaldi, together with movie soundtracks - all is just taken in its stride .
Returned my Sonos arc setup to consider a 'proper' home theater setup. I've been looking into a potential Klipsch 5.1 setup and looks like the RP line certainly is the way to go, primarily due to their affordability and my use case (movies/music = 80/20). Thanks for the quality review as always mate! 👌🏼
Used to sell audio in the 90's and sold a ton of Klipsch ... A/B them against any speaker at the time without switching volume would seal the deal. Those horns sing and their Sensitivity made them twice as loud as anything else compared. Their big towers such as these I feel are better suited to a pretty large room.
I purchased a pair in Ebony last year, been just running them in 2 ch stereo with approx 125watts per channel. At first I was impressed but once these were broken in a bit they really oepend up. I've recently added a whole new dynamic by adding a SPL-120. The sound profile once dialed in is extremely impressive. I'm still enjoying mine like if I just purchased them yesterday.
I’ve been a huge fan of Klipsch for many years now. I’ve owned 3 of their lines and am completely satisfied with the Reference Premier line. Clarity and treble are perfectly bright and balanced for me. I’ve heard the complaints from the “too harsh” haters but have never understood it. These are perfect for me.
I have a pair of 5000s and love love them! Very balanced and alive. They do play loud but turn down the lights, fire up Qobuz and Bill Evans is live in my den!
I have a pair of 8000f + 504c center + pair of SPL-120 subs 4 500m for surrounds + and 4 atmos ceiling speakers for a full Klipsch 7.2.4 setup I preordered the Yamaha rx-a8a and I can't wait to test them out with my LG C1 77" OLED TV Any information about the shipping tho! I ordered mine from B&H month and a half ago and still
You literally got the best setup possible! 😁👏🏼👊🏼 Yes there are ‘better’ speakers out there like Arendal and whatever but there’s just something about klipsch that I love. The dynamics and live soundstage that they produce is just mesmerizing with the right soundtracks. You sir have an amazing setup 👍🏼
I have RP8000fs and a 504c for a HT setup. They’re great speakers. Good bass and good clarity. I run them full range because I have no sub at the moment. I will be upgrading to RF7iii’s and using the rp8000fs as rears 🤩
Got a pair of these recently and I absolutely love them hooked up to a yamahal a to a receiver. And I actually know how to set everything up EQ in custom tweak, and I don't need a microphone okay. I grew up old school where you learned to do this stuff. Also I do car audio, so that kind of gives me an edge on set up. Because you actually got to wire up your DSP wire up your amp, wire up your head move unit wire up capacitor cap. If you have it and this keeps going on, it's not done for you, and I play instruments and grew up around bands. These speakers kick a** they do it for me Lotta, new speakers out there. Yeah. If they don't do it for me, they just don't have that big stage, live sound and of course I couple them with a kicker twelve inch sub offer in a big q bombox tell you what that kicker comp sub is fast and tight as these cause. That's what it's supposed to do. Those go from nineteen hertz, all the way up 2 5 hundred I just threw up paying a lamp on it yep, and I only spent 90 bucks on that speaker and a 150 on the box with a big horn port 2 to 29 Hz, and I hit all the frequencies guaranteed. You guys overspend on these home subwooffers. Just get in the car audio and build one. Then hook a house amp up to it and save yourself. Some money Anyways, no one does bass better than car audio. That's what they do and kicker is the original. And I love the ebony all day, which has kind of like, yeah, a little silverish white Tish blend it into it. But I've eqed these all kinds of ways which is not necessary. They're a very neutral balance speaker. Honestly, just yeah, bump your lows and bump your highs up a few decibels and Bump your one point four up about two decibels, and literally, you're completely balanced, especially with a sub it's like having some three-way, 15 inch loudspeakers back in the day. With a nice big fat amp
I own several lines of Klipsch from Reference, Reference Premiere, to the RF-7 III. The RP-8000F is by far the best sweet spot value for price/performance.
When I heard these I was impressed with the changes Klipsch had made to the tweeter. My listening wasn't very long so needless to say I'm still hesitant to say you could listen to hours without fatigue. When I bought my last setup I ultimately chose Dynaudio Focus 260s (no longer in production) because they just sound amazing with great midrange and for my ear I get zero fatigue out of listening to them. They're fantastic on music and pretty good on movies. However they were pretty pricey even on clearance. The 8000 series is something I can recommend to friends due to the changes they've made with the caveat that they may still be a touch bright over a long listening session. Previously I just couldn't recommend Klipsch reference and below line for anything other than movies and even then I was hesitant. These really do seem like the best value for money in speakers right now.
Those 98db specs have been reported widely as false, but it doesn't change the fact its a great speaker at this price point. I listened to them side by side vs much more expensive B&W's and I liked everything better in the 8000's. Gonna be my next setup with a nad c388 but later on with a pair of nc400 monoblocks and a nad c658.
Thanks Andrew. I enjoy your reviews. Had my 8000F’s now for a year and enjoying it immensely. Find that it especially handles Blues music very nicely. My sub-woofer is parked in storage I really don’t need it. I paired it with Marantz ZR7007 AVR and the Klipsch RP52C and RS52, which is in my opinion, some of the best surround speakers available.
Hi Werner, I like listening to Blues as well and am thinking of purchaisng the Klipsch 8000 and either a Maratnz Model40 or a Yamaha R-n1000A. Any thoughts?
@ my knowledge does not stretch that far. To me, Yamaha is more mainstream, and I’ll select brands such as Onkyo, Marantz, or others. Success with your buy.
Hi Andrew, thanks for making this video it was quite enjoyable, and thanks for answering all the comments below in such a timely manor. I bought these speakers with a Klipsch 404 center about 6 months ago, and picked up the RP600M's for the rears about 2 months later and enjoy listening to them with all kinds of music and movies. I have seen the reviews mentioned below showing the gap at the crossover at about 1750hz. What I did was go into the equalizer in my receiver (Yamaha RX V485) and kicked up the HZ 2 clicks at the 1000hz level which I believe goes half way up to the next adjustment of 2500hz to cover the 1750hz drop down point. I also clicked up the 400hz 1 notch to blend it out. Now when switching the equalizer from off to on with vocals and instruments playing it seems to give it all a much smother more balanced sound. Not that one sound is better but switching it on puts a smile on my face, and I didn't have to pay a penny for the change. I'm not saying this does the same as changing the crossovers, adding a midrange or putting in more higher end components which would have drastically increased the price but you may give it a try and see what you think.
I'd like to pair and try these with my JBL Studios behind, then switch to the 8000s behind, JBLs in front ... I don't know, Freddy, Nightmare on Elm Street...it seems horror movies are begging to leap out of the 8000s, too ! lol Thanks for your effort on the 8000. Appreciate your comments. Have a great day.
Bread and I have made it 40 years now. I have the 280FA, 280F, 450C, 550, 600, and twin 150 subs with a Marantz SR8015 (7.2.4) and I did not have to rewire my house! I love my system as does my wife (the important critic). It took time to dial in but I go to shows just to hear how good my system sounds in comparison. My sister's system which I installed is Triton reference, with 1000 side and 680's on top with their monster sub and the Macintosh pre and amps (5.3.4). It is more refined (Classical and organ) but for pure joy I take mine. As an addition: Replace the iron coils with air (Gets rid of the slur), go to the $20 caps (cleans up 4%) and get rid of the steel in the connects (Copper to copper and gets one to that last 2%). Yes, I am a geek.
Good review. To answer your questions, klipsch already has rf-7 iii that is their audiophile grade speaker (other than their now discontinued palladian series). Maybe you should look at reviewing that next. Btw, it would be great that you also check out rf-800f arch nemesis i.e. JBL studio 590. All the rf-8000 deficiencies are non existent in the jbls.
The RF 7 |||'s are the step up or flagship of that line ,I have them powered with a JC5 Parasound amp and a Rel T9I (RED) for aesthetics Like you would say more refined ,if you ever get a chance to try the RF7 |||'s I believe you'll hear a difference.
That big Parasound amp must make the RF7iii’s absolutely thump. I use an Arcam AVR300 with just 120wpc, and that still rattles the walls with my RF7i’s.
@@EM-ke8is thank you, I’m looking forward to upgrading to the 7iii’s for the smoother top end, and I hear they have even more low end than the 7i’s, wow 😳
Bought these aprox. 4 months ago after watching this video... after I was starting to find my old KEF IQ7's way too bight for my taste. But the RF-8000's absolutely suits my taste perfectly (matched with a Denon PMA-1600ne).
Thank you for the review. I used to say that I would never, ever buy any Klipsch speaker. About 2 weeks ago I bought a pair of Klipsch R-41M bookshelf speakers and they are a FUN listen for 2 ch HT and music. Of course the 41's got me thinking I should visit my local Klipsch retailer and I was impressed with the RP-5000F. So, naturally I want to know if you are going to review the entire Klipsch RP- xxxx F lineup? I find it peculiar that there aren't many reviews on the RP-4000F which now has my attention. Thanks again for bringing attention to a fun speaker lineup.
100% love the way these speakers sound. Minimal amplification necessary. Both music and movies sound great. Agree with pulling them away from the wall and toe in towards your listening position.
I've spent $$$$$ on high end boutique speakers that are ever-so-gentle, nuanced, and bore me to tears. I'm done with rolled off and laid back. When have you ever heard live music that's laid back? Never in my life.
Just get speakers that are as flat as possible, have the largest frequency range possible, and can reproduce music as accurately as possible. Then, it's just your EQ and the quality of the recordings you need be concerned with.
I truly love how you go over Audio issues. Even, taking the time for 5.1 avr systems like my Harmon Kardon AVR- 5. It's old, no HDMI cable inserts, no fiber optic inputs, but it sounds pretty nice with my Optimus bookshelf speaker for center, also two 1970s HPM-40 pioneer 3 ways and a middle of the road sub -woofer

to elevate it I think it needs some internal bracing and be turned into a 2.5 way instead of a 2 way.

@@andrewrobinsonreviews that's true, even if they are resonating that's part of their signature.
Andrew, here we are two years later and even with the new mark 2 being a more refined speaker, in my opinion, buying a pair of these today at $999, they are a great bargain or to quote you, “an insane value”, for music or home theater. This was another one of your many outstanding reviews.
Your review was a big reason I ordered these. I smile every time I listen to them. Thanks for your awesome videos!
Good review brother. We love them. Over 50 pairs installed. They are so responsive to RTA calibration.
Love this comment...✅
Tonality 😂even my 20 years old Canton Ergo RC-l blows the RP series away.
I've had these speakers for about a year and a half and have been very pleased with them. Using them for home theater and two channel music listening.
Thanks for validating a purchase I made about 9 months ago. I’m extremely satisfied with my 8000Fs, but upon seeing the brown ones in this video, I almost regret not getting them in said color. You’re absolutely right- the imaging after proper toe-in is unreal.
Having purchased a set of RP-8000F 2nd hand 2 weeks ago, I'm happy to see this review :-)
My Klipsch RP8000Fs will be here tomorrow! Can't wait!! Pairing with the RP504C and 2 SVS pb-1000 pros for my front stage. All powered with the Yamaha rx-a3080.
Really love both the minimalistic look of the room and the quality of the videos.
Thank you!

Nice review as always. Bought Heresy IV's yesterday. Can't wait for them to be delivered. One of the best gifts to myself ! 😍
Enjoy 'em. What are you using for power?
@@andrewrobinsonreviews Leak stereo 130 for now.
Andrew while orientating on new towers i came across your review. Then i started comparing reviews. Now a new proud owner of these towers. And you did not lie one single bit. I am in love, and in my opinion the slight warm mids give my vintage vinyl that little extra warmth they need.
Great loudspeakers, I appreciate them every day (my neighbours appreciate them too, at least I hope)
Hey, How does feel the Bass ? Is ist strong Enough or is a subwoofer necessary?
So glad you are enjoying them!! Just don't watch our mk II review 😂.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews too late! But I’m happy with my speakers and I’ll continue to watch your channel!! Thanks for all you do sir!
@@Jack-z6j4q demon 3700 avr for surround sound in my home theater! Music is incredible!
Curious if you considered the 5000F? I'm looking to pair with an 65" TV.
In the process of buying these and this review just helped me understand what I am getting even more.
And this is the video that made me want to check them out in the first place.
so glad you're happy with your purchase.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews oddly enough, I bought the RP-8000F II to replace my Wharfedale Lintons.
I have the 8000f I watched many reviews about the 280 I agree with you with there performance. l think they are very similar nice comment👍
Live Jazz recordings and Jazz LP's sound absolutely amazing on these. Hi-Res Audio as well.
Andrew, the quality and content of your videos is by far some of the best out there. Thank you so much for the breath of fresh air! Happy Thanksgiving!
Wow, thank you and happy Thanksgiving to you too!
I tried the 8000 F and yes they are large and can over take the room. To my ears, I felt like I was driving 67 Camero on the drag strip. I ended up with Monitor Audio Silver 500. Now I’m driving a 67 Mercedes cruising down the road with a smile on my face.
Hey, at the end of the day you have to go with what works for you.
I couldn't agree more with your entire review. I love my 8000's. I do Not use a sub for theater because the bass is so solid and deep, my neighbor know what movie I watched each night.

I just bought the RP 5000F and am extremely happy with them. But I do think they require just adjustment with placement. Thanks for the suggestion!
I have a set of 8000's paired with a cayin s200. They sound amazing together. I live in a small house so the volume never needs to go up very high, the quality at low volume I find truly spectacular.

"A Klipsch speaker has character, and that character is born out of a live sound" love it! Awesome review!
Andrew, you deliver some of the best reviews on this platform. Thank you.
This is hands down the BEST review EVER of anything!!!!!! You made me want to buy it!!! In fact, I think I will. My sub just went out and this is just as good excuse as any. Bravo!!!!!
It’s Andrew’s fault. After watching his review a few times I ordered a pair! Love the damn things!
The only person that has to like the sound of your system is you. Love that!
Many prominent brands throw harshness and fatigue onto your face and name it as detail and clarity , there you have it! You have so called perfect speakers for music!
Andrew,
Great review!
This review put the 8000F's at the top of my list to demo.
Not only did the review put them on the top of my list, I bought me a pair and love them.
I have been a big fan of Klipsch for years and their speakers are all I have in my setup.
Your reviews are absolutely top notch. Brilliant job.
Much appreciated!
I was waiting for this review for a long time now.
I hope it was worth the wait. Thanks for watching!
You bet it was! Great review as always you guys. I would also like to see how these compare to Kef Q950.
Anyways happy holidays and stay safe!
Great review!👍 I recently purchased a pair of RP-280F on a closeout sale, abd they replaced an older pair of Fisher speakers from 1987. I am most pleased in their sound!
I got 2 of those, matched with a SVS-SB2000Pro.
3/4 is Home theatre, 1/4 is Musik. I love this setup!
Andrew please get the version 2 of the 8000f for review!!!
I’ve had the 6000 series for several years now along with their 12 inch subwoofer and a center channel like you showed. I love it.
A nicer finish might be nice, but I'd just be thrilled at the quality sound-wise at under $1k
Great review as always!
This is my first klipsch ever and doing research I was afraid about brightness and "smile" curved sound,
But coming from yamaha tsr-5830 and older JBL es80bk towers klipsch sound tighter thru out and bass response surprised me hits hard tight...excellent.
Keeping yamaha for now it is HDMI linked to sony and act as musiccast/tidal/deezer box and I hope it can drive last two atmos speakers.

@@Leo-yn5fx Well, I'm not an audiophile--however I do appreciate great sound. For my ears and room, no point getting anything more expensive.

Can we expect sometime in the future a Klipsch RF7 iii review?
That would be interesting.
Great show, love it! Could you please review the Klipsh RF7IIIs!?
I own several lines of Klipsch from Reference, Reference Premiere, to the RF-7 III. The RP-8000F is by far the best sweet spot value for price/performance.
Thank you for this. I am really considering getting this now, wow. Great video, thank you
When I heard these I was impressed with the changes Klipsch had made to the tweeter.
Isn't the reported 98 db output from 2.3v input? I thought reference output was with 1v input?
@@tony9554 The whole voltage thing as opposed to watts is dodgy.

I'm not saying this does the same as changing the crossovers, adding a midrange or putting in more higher end components which would have drastically increased the price but you may give it a try and see what you think.
they should involve a midrange speaker to fill up the sound stage. cheers nick great speak
er
The Klipch12inch 400 watt sub pairs very well!
I'd like to pair and try these with my JBL Studios behind, then switch to the 8000s behind, JBLs in front ... I don't know, Freddy, Nightmare on Elm Street...it seems horror movies are begging to leap out of the 8000s, too ! lol
Thanks for your effort on the 8000. Appreciate your comments.
Have a great day.
If you already have JBL's stick with them.. At JLB we want you to hear the truth..
Our Studio's are another level!🤫🤔😬
Mashed potatoes and I own these speakers for my home theater setup. I love them and I’m happy you agree. I would highly recommend these to anyone.
Thank you for the great review. Would love for you to review the RF7III and hear your thoughts on a comparison of the two.
@@jstoli996c4s sounds like a nice pairing and btw I still own my original RF 7 | ‘s , they still sound nice well made speaker👍🏼

Good review it helps me a lot. Greets from Germany
I have the RP line with a 5.2.4 set up. They are great value and the all important WAF is off the chart
