happy birthday! i recently bumped into your videos and i must say they have been a great help. i didn't even realize i'm almost 3 months into my process. waiting for hpd is a pain lol i'm praying everyday though that things pan out. i think i saw on someone else's video say that it goes from hpd then to hdc n that's where the long wait comes in. idk. nevertheless praying for myself and you guys as well! happy birthday once again! u better have more than 1 drink tonight for sure lol between work n this process u definitely deserve it!

Happy Belated Birthday!!! I’m surprised they ran a credit report because according to HPD guidelines they were supposed to give you the option to run a credit check or provide 12 months of rental payment history.

Yeah they did that ass backwards. SMH
It is a headache I was contacted in August I moved in the middle of October and that was smart to take the 1 bedroom its hard to transfer unless you get picked for another lottery right when your lease is ending for your lottery apartment. The process was worth it though I love my place, I have a mini tour video posted

Omg, that's a lot🤦🙏🙏. Am waiting patiently to be contacted. Already got a log # 2 months ago, I can look out my window and see the building and log# is in the 11 thousand range🤦. Lol, I was thinking I'll hear something on my birthday too.

Your videos make me keep going sometimes I feel like giving up too much I was losing my mind at some point but it seems what u went though is that what I’m going though so I keep going they said I’m approved for a 3 bedroom 1,300 now im just waiting for an approved letter
The reason this is happening is that people are paying under the table for these apartments. The going rate is $6,000 to those that control who gets these units. Welcome to NYC. My suggestion is to ask around and bring cash. I could get one of these apartments tomorrow if i chose. But I'm good where I'm at. Of course they do give out a few to regulars to make it look like it's on the up and up. But all it does is decreases the chances that anyone gets these apartments without going through back channels. Also $110.000 low income. LOL
i definitely believe they paying under the table because i know a lady that definitely paid under the table for a nycha apartment
This is where I'm at 🤞🏿🤞🏿🤞🏿 praying that I'm approved for my 3 bedroom. My log #23. So far the the office I'm dealing with have been great. I had almost my documents printed neatly in a folder. My son's & I signed tons of papers. Completed & sign bank verification affidavit & last thing I heard was 3rd party verification. Praying all goes smoothly 🙏🏿

I was approved for an 2bedroom sent in all the paperwork we just had twins so our family size increased. Instead of 4 it became 6 so the lady told me about the unit and than I submitted the paperwork haven’t heard from her, I followed up with her she told me the unit wasn’t available anymore, so my husband and I went down there and she made up a whole story saying she’ll call me n she emailed me saying I just re looked at ur household size it’s 6 and for 2 bedroom it has to be only 5 household size. This is Wavecrest Mangement! Smh never again. Long story short never got the apartment! Praying something better comes ! Thanks for sharing this video! Happy birthday 🎂

Hi again! My marketing agent just requested for me sign/email back an ethnicity certification, household confirmation form, and agreement and consent form for background (credit/background check) yesterday. Would you happen to know what this means in the process? Does this mean HPD is now checking it for final approval? Thanks again for your help!
They are starting the process I did all of that during my interview process and did you submit your income information

I am having difficulties uploading the documents to housing connect . I’m trying to change my password but the system keeps locking me out . Any advice. I think I have 3 days left to upload everything.
Email your leasing agent and let them know that you are having trouble and if you can email it to them or drop The documents off that’s what I did

I know you said u changed your job. Being that u haven’t filed taxes with your new job, do they still go based of your previous w2?
Yes if you don’t have paystubs for the new job but I was able to provider new paystubs
So I know on your other video I responded and said I’ve been applying since 2016 and I was told for my income that they were out of units, so I emailed the email address saying this and said for my income that went up I should be eligible.
They asked if my income changed and it went up some, then they asked about household and I said I moved in with my dad so it will be us (he’s not really going to move there) and he gets SSI, so his income from that and mine could qualify so they asked me to submit my documents and I’m just waiting for his award letter to add to everything and it’s for the 60% ami $1058 one bedroom. I was told it’s only three left and I’m just nervous as hell cause I only have to send my dads stuff in so I can see if they find us (technically me) eligible.

Can you give an example video of how you explained each bank statements for housing ?
Anything that is a deposit in your account you have to just write where the money came from
ex: you received 300 dollars from your friend because your purchased something for them” you write on the self affidavit that the 300 dollars is from my friend that paid me back for purchasing an item for them,

I got the apartment in queens I viewed my apartment on the 5th,singing my lease on the 15th thank you so much for the videos it helped me get all my Documents together!!!
I went to see the apartment. She said I qualified for a 1 bdr. And now waiting for third party approval. Praying it all goes through.

Hi. Do you know if having a bankruptcy on your credit report can affect you in getting an apartment through housing connect? I am currently in review process with them.
No because they’re not supposed to use credit to disqualify you it’s now illegal to use credit via HDC laws
Also, is the process the same for people who are applying with income versus someone with a voucher? I am currently under review status on housing connect it’s only been about a week but this process seems so long. What might be some of the reasons they can find to find you ineligible that you may be familiar with?? Thank you so much for responding.
@@sassy1125 only reason why it would be ineligible would be income based if it’s voucher based it’s just about DHS getting back to
HPD n confirming they will pay the voucher amount for the tenant . It’s all about confirm the income n making sure your still eligible with the income giving you can not be a penny over the income either lol it’s ridiculous how strenuous it is
@@AshleyNicholson so for a 2 family household what’s the income? Also, I’m assuming they use your whatever you have in your bank account as income that will be added on to what you make annually. It’s very frustrating!
@@sassy1125 idk what the income would be. Refer to the housing lottery you applied for that i information would be there . And no they use your paystubs or salary and your bank account will reflect that and other deposits made
Everything was approved for me and me and my son went to look at a two bedroom and that was October 19th 2021. I'm just curious how long did it take for your sister to sign her lease and get her keys? For me it's taking really really long and I'm just curious.

@@maxineglenn2843 thank you but we're still waiting to sign the lease and make a payment we have not heard from anyone since. I'm just curious if it normally takes this long.
For my sister it hasn’t happened yet because she is waiting for DHS and HRA to send her payments because she’ll be on a voucher from the state . Usually they will set up a day to sign a lease if the building is ready if I were you ill follow up
Congratulations! Just to give you a heads up…I was approved for an apartment as well. I went to view it in August and just signed my lease on Tuesday. So it does take some time. Be patient it will all work out. Good luck😊

Housing connect pick and choose and blacks get the least if they get anything at all. It's bull crap. See for yourself. I hit several times and when they see who I am I don't get what I qualify for after sending id
