Did you have to resubmit more pay stubs closer to the approval date? I’m nervous that because it’s been a month of back and forth they’re going to ask for more recent ones.
Yesss sure had to resubmit closer to make sure my income was consistent and still the same

Hii and Yess It would be the same rent listed online. after your lease is up the rent goes up like 1.5% nothing crazy

I just got called for an apartment to submit documents but I have moved and I have a new job can I submit my new information even if it’s not the same one that I use to fill the application with?

So I just started working again in November after 2 years of no work. Would they turn someone down due to that? Also I'm working as a server who is making below minimum wage ($10/hr + tips) but lately because of omicron I haven't been making many tips :/ because people are cancelling events and not stopping by... so my income fluctuates a lot. How do I figure out how much I make per year/per month seeing how my income varies day to day? I'd really like to get my own apartment but it just seems so unlikely due to everything I just mentioned, can someone please give me some advice/direction? Thanks :)

You can always apply before moving back but always update your address to make sure you’re in the nyc area. And your paystubs has to match the address
im in the process of uploading docuemts for the housing connect, I have a question about the credit review / 12 monthly payment , what if your not the owner of the apartment but youve gave half for a rent bill how will that work?
notarized letter stating you live with them and you need a copy of their lease.
I applied February 2022 I was email yesterday to submit my application and I did waiting for HPD/HDC to get back to me fingers crossed 🤞

Hey Ashley congratulations again! Quick question so I sent my documents as requested. It’s been 3 weeks since I sent them. Does that mean my info was sent to hpd during that time? Cause it still says under review on online portal. How long until it say review complete for you?
They usually should tell you were you assigned a leasing specialist ? I was assigned a specialist but I see lately some ppl are only being contacted via the website which is so weird

@@AshleyNicholson no specialist just a email and phone number to contact. I did both to see what’s going on they said they received all my documents and I have to wait for further steps. It’s been 3 weeks this week will be 4 so I’m hoping to hear something soon. And I’m assuming they waiting to hear back from hpd for approval!
@@AshleyNicholson so now they asked me for more documents and said I have a eligibility zoom meeting on Tuesday where they ask me further questions. Does that mean I got the unit or I’m half way there?

No it depends on your district and where the lottery is located. If it’s close to your previous home you have a 50 percent chance of getting a call back n it can take up to a year

Your sister and you applied separately to Housing Connect even though you both lived in the same apartment originally?
My sister did not apply. She was randomly selected by HPD because she was technically homeless. Thats another thing I will be address in this weeks video as well

a year of rental history and 6 months of bank statements. its excessive as hell

Ashley. Appreciate your helpful videos. Please provide me with the compliance email for HDC. I am 75 years old and received email requesting documents, which I uploaded the following day. My complaint was sent to HPD, who replied the property was HDC. I wish I knew who supervised these compliance departments. Emails and calls go unaswered.

How long did it take to go from pending to in process??
About a month because of back and forth documenrs but I think that’s in my second video
To hear back from HPD was a week process for me because it’s just myself I don’t have any children as of yet

I’ve been applying since the beginning of 2016. If they ever get back to me, no units for my income. It’s insane. I wrote my coworkers appeal letter in 2016 since we were talking about it and she called me excited that she got the apartment. Just waiting one day they’ll get to me but I feel like losing hope at times. I got a log number of 3 for one I wasn’t ineligible for but it’s just crazy at times. I’m happy you got your place as well. 😊

The process is stressful
I just applied to a brand new luxury building in lic sent my documents have a leasing agent who said the process should take 3 weeks I'm soooooo excited and can't wait to post my documented housing connect experience🤞🏽🤞🏽💯🥳🥳🥳

Question! I got chosen for a lottery as well. I submitted all the documentation and now they chose me to actually check the place out with an agent? Does this mean I am confirmed for a spot?!

Got called in 2018 for the final interview face to face and I believe I was denied because of my tattoos dude waited to I leave to email me a hour later and say it’s no more units available in my income
Wowwwwww That’s discrimination and you could of appeal that rejection and called 311 because you can’t interview someone then reject them because no units are left

Why do they need to view my paystubs, I’m not the best at saving
To make sure you have an active job and to calculate your monthly income for a estimated annual income they need proof you work
my question is why do they need so many bank stubs ? Do they look how much I’m saving ? Cause I’m not lol
@@bjones8002 you said pay stubs but for bank stubs that’s what they require to make sure you’re not getting additional income

@@AshleyNicholson also I’m also living with someone however I’m on the lease . When it’s time to pay the rent we usually put our cash together to get a money order to paid the rent , so I see they need rent stubs , he’s head of household so money orders are in his name . Do u think they will give me a problem?
