I have been living in NYC for almost a decade now and I can’t see myself sticking here for the long run. Houston is definitely my first option to move. Cost of living is way cheaper and wages are relatively high and can be compared with nyc wages. I guess I would have to adjust to the car culture but that would not be much of an issue for me. The subways here are nasty and getting worse as day go by.
I lived in Houston and NYC. People like to crap on the cities they don’t live in. I will summarize for yall. The best city to live, is SUBJECTIVE. It is depended on your personality, age, job, and so many more factors. There are people in NY who makes 300-500k salary who cannot make that in Houston. NY offers many intelligent, young vibrant people who like to have fun. Houston, compare to NY, a lot less younger people. Less things to do. But Houston offers amazing houses and rentals. Ask yourself what you want first
Welcome to Texas, I think it was a great Decision to move there. It is a big City and life is much cheaper than in New York. Now Dallas is a huge Metropolis also with very beautiful and modern cities all around it. Both places are great. Good luck!
Great video. Best of luck on your journey in Houston 💯 I lived in NY my entire life. NY will always be my first love BUT I have no desire to ever live there again. A fckn rat race dump Lol Moving to Houston was one of the best decisions I ever made. I was even able to get my brothers and a few friends to move to H-town too. My sons mother moved to H-town as well and we're not even together. I have a few other family members looking to move to Houston also now.
Ha, I spoke with you under another video like a year ago. It was the same moving from NYC to Houston. I’m finally making that move at the beginning of this summer. I like that you’re still there.
@@laranini9660Aye, what's up Lol I love watching "I Moved to" videos. I enjoy seeing ppl take a chance and search for new experiences in new places. Wish you the best on your journey. You're coming in the summer?? I'm warning you now!! IT'S HOT AF IN JULY/AUGUST. Hot!! HAWT!! Lol Houston humidity hits different 😰 If you have any questions about anything when you're down here? Hmu!
@@FactsNoBias Hey well I’m trying to come by the middle of June, before it gets really really hot up here. I’m looking for apartments there and most don’t have availability until the summertime. It’s crazy right? Yet I know I have to leave Brooklyn because the rent is going up and becoming very unaffordable. I have friends who left to Atlanta but I’m not interested in moving there.
@@laranini9660 Same w/ me w/ Atlanta. I have a lot of friends and fam in Atl but I don't like it there. I know a realtor. I could pass you hee info if you'd like? She would be able to answer any questions you might have? (Give me a day or two to get her contact) Have you visited Houston already? You know what areas you're looking into moving?
@@FactsNoBias yes you could pass her information onto me, I’d appreciate it. One of my really good friends is a realtor here in the city and she shows me her listings but they are so unaffordable. She sent me a listing for a two bedroom in a sixth floor walk up in Harlem but I had to turn it down because of the steps. Houston would be a good change, just to get out of the crazy city life. I don’t know how regular people afford it, it’s ridiculous especially because the housing stock is so old. When I visited, I like the Southwestern part, Sugarland and the Fondren area. I didn’t get to spend a week, just several days there and it was fine to me. At least you get more bang for your buck. Were you able to find a decent job before moving?
I know how felt being stuck I felt the same exact way the pandemic really sent me in a depression mood I’m just recently getting out of it. Ty for sharing your story
You made me so happy. I went to Houston for a girls trip and the vibe was giving. I said I wanted to move there. But to hear you confirm the living is everything. I'm excited. I'm moving from ATL and I'm from NY. Andim ready to go!! Lol but thanks I subscribed so hopefully you do more videos or vlogs through out the city.
I myself have visited New York but I could never ever live in that town or city or is too much for me I'm still a country girl I live in Florida and I'm from Georgia out there is just no way the hustle and the bustle that City but I'm happy you move to Houston and I wish you the best and peace be with you

Hi Dani,
Great Video!
What’s your job title?
Where would you suggest to move to sis
Houston have a nice Downtown better than Atlanta Downtown Do you agree with me
i just might have to agree, but i think Midtown (atlanta) is so much nicer than downtown in both places. it’s also a biased opinion!
What job you got working from home in Houston
i was working in the legal field - office was based in Houston when i moved there but worked a hybrid schedule
Okay looking for jobs now before I move there
