This is great information! I’ve been living in ATL for four years now and I feel like I can add to it. 1) Have a solid stream(s) of revenue set up BEFORE you move! It’s true: it’s fairly easy to start a business in ATL (there’s a market for just about everything here), but just like there’s an abundance of opportunities, there is also stiff competition! I don’t advise you to move here with just an idea and expect instant results. Gaining traction will take TIME. 2) Don’t form your opinion about ATL off of one or two experiences. You have to explore. A lot. What everybody else makes popular may not be for you in particular. For example, if you like walking in the park, and you decide to visit a park that everybody raves about and you have a bad experience, there are probably a dozen other parks off the beaten path within a 30 mile radius. It’s often the hidden gems that offer the best experiences. Dare to be different. 3) Don’t feel pressured to keep up with the Jones’s. Everybody who drives a luxury car is NOT rich. You have no idea what they did to get that car, if they can even afford the car, or if the car is even theirs! I know you’ve heard about how much scamming goes on here. It’s true. Live honestly and within your means. The right people will not care about what you have. In fact, the wealthiest are the most modest. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. 4) Be OK with doing things alone. It can take time to make friends here, especially if you’re not very outgoing or are generally low key.

Not the biggest fan of Atlanta I still live around it though. I moved to Newnan GA so Atlanta about 30 mins and honestly that has been the best decision for me its peaceful If i want the Atlanta living I will go towards it for the nightlife. Maybe that is best for a lot of people who moves to Atlanta. Outside of that I hope all is well and stays well with you.

@ if you do stay in Atlanta I recommend trying to live outside and see how it fairs then. Just be careful some places are just as bad

It was my first time going to ATL 6 months ago and I stayed for a month. Ive never seen so many rude people. I turned on my Uber eats app and ran into an online scammer if I was a dummy he would have cleaned out my account. Even the people at Chick fil a and American Cookies was mean 🤦🏾♂️
Can’t even lie, you can miss me with the atl airport, it’s like everybody there hates their jobs, very rude & just distasteful. I’m so sorry about your experience
