They didn’t have the best patients with developing James for some reason. Like it’s his 3rd year coming back from the rehabbed ACL knee, he wasn’t gonna be that dude he’s was supposed to be this year, it’s common sense. If they would’ve waited and were patient enough like any other team, by next season. He probably would’ve been fine, but no they want the prime version of Weismann. I don’t think GS realized how much of a good talent they got rid of for practically nothing. Can’t draft a high pick and expect him to play big time like Steph, klay and dray. That was the first biggest mistake made by bob myers, that’s isn’t with GS anymore. And look at Moody Kuminga and Poole. Poole showed what he can do but not consistently. Moody and kuminga are soils but , barley played in the playoffs, both clearly aren’t fully developed and have been in the league longer than weiseman. Im still shocked the warriors choose kuminga and moody over weiseman. It’s clear that they’re looking to trade them but both don’t have any value and aren’t fully developed or anything.

To me it seems stupid because the new rules are going to harm smaller teams even more since they won't have it easy to go over the luxury tax not even once because it will be more harmful, and it's a set of rules that does punish those who built through the draft. You will find more big city teams building squads to win in 3 years or less and blowing it up to retain just a small portion to tey again. Draymond Green has cost the GS Warriors a couple of NBA championships. In 2016 he got a flagrant technical foul and was suspended for a game which possibly cost GSW a title. In 2018 he told Kevin Durant that GSW didn't need him to win a championship. He created bad blood between himself and Durant. Durant left. In 2022 he sucker punched Jordan Poole creating another tension between himself and Poole affecting Jordan's play. Draymond's performance is going down and he's past his peak. Considering all this I would let Draymond walk if he wants to get a big contract.

I get Draymond is a big internet personality so JJ feels the need to defend him to keep his reputation up. But the idea that they can't replace Draymond because he's the "heart and soul" of the warriors is just a ridiculous trope that the Media creates to build a fantastical aspect to their dialogue. Steph is the soul on and off the ball to this Warriors squad and has been since Klay went down from his ACL, he is just not as willing to stamp on peoples rib cages and punch a team mate as Draymond. Outside of that it's gonng come in a trade, and if Dray walks a team has cap space can get him and GSW won't have cap space so they'd lose him for nothing. No one is going to pay Draymond more than the Warriors. His game works EXCLUSIVELY because they have those shooters, and because they have really weak other front court guys. If you can't shoot like that, and you have guys in the front court that take up space and need the ball, Draymond is a 10 mil a year guy statistically on your team. Warriors try to run it back with just Kuminga, Looney, and Wiggins, teams will just go to the rack over and over and outrebound them every single game, and the Dubs offense will just consist of Curry and Klay dribbling around to get their own 3s.

ESPN is so stars oriented that they dont now how to deal with the DEN victory.. You could analyse Jokic passes, analyse Miami zone defence- there i so much, I would appreciate as basketball (not only stars) fan.

Draymond has been their second most important player in all 4 rings, of course they need him. The Zion situation is tricky, it would suck to move on from him and then he matures and remains healthy and you regret it forever.

I don’t think anyone outside of GSW fans think the KD move was remotely good for basketball. There is nothing impressive with adding a top 3 player in the world to an already championship team and completely ruining the parity of the league. 2017-2019 were some of the most boring and predictable seasons ever.

@@mattbedrosian5298 The new CBA is coming in so many years after KD left the warriors though. While preventing super teams is good for the game, it's also crazy that the league is trying to punish teams that are drafting and/or developing well by forcing them to not be able to pay their own stars as well. And it's not like it'll only affect the warriors, every contending team that has to pay their own stars will soon run into this issue, like with the Celtics and their upcoming issues with paying Brown on top of Tatum. And then what about further down the road if say the Grizz or OKC continues doing well and have to pay all of their current young players big contracts? They won't be able to keep these players together and will be forced to trade, it's a big problem.
