How is talking about them any different than talking about the Celtics, Knicks, Lakers, KCP, etc. I am a nobody compared to you guys, but would it be too much to ask to hear some of the ESPN experts (which you are) talk about (in depth) some other teams? The amount of Pistons content is a mere fraction of the teams and people (eg. Tatum) that get routinely talked about on this excellent podcast. I think you guys do a great job, however I was really hoping that an Eastern Conference tier podcast would include my team. You guys have a great product. More Pistons please?
I'm confused. Not wanting to put Philly and NY in tier two alone because they weren't in the ECF is lazy and completely ignoring the fact that NY was decimated by the time they got to the 2nd round and STILL took Indy to 7. Arguably, if what's his name doesn't hit that deep game winner in game 3, the Knicks are in the ECF.
A healthy sixers team, a health heat team, a healthy bucks team, a healthy knicks team can all dethrone the celtics! The big If their healthy! Probably highly unlikely!
The bottom tier teams is the reason why i think the NBA should consider relegating the least performing team in each conference. it will greatly improve competition. This is how soccer in Europe is kept fresh and entertaining. You cant consistently have a bad product and be rewarded by remaining in the league. Playing in the NBA should be a privilege not a right. The owners will not like it , but it benefits the Game of basketball.
Relegation in the NBA would never happen. No owner would agree to the value of their team dropping significantly overnight. By the way, the NBA earns more in revenue than any other soccer league.

Knicks defense is seriously legit...I believe their defense has potential to be top 3 in the league, with an offense being conservatively top 10. Before all-star game I see eastern conference top 3 records the same as how the reg season ended. Bos, NY, Phil...but NY surpasses Boston after post all star trade for a big man. I also think that Milwaukee can surpass the 76ers if Embid and George (2 of the most injury prone players last few years) spend much time on IR.

I sincerely believe my bucks will be the first seed with porzingis miss chunk of season
dont ask me about playoff success tho
It is all about the playoffs!
1:33 Who is Chris Esprazingus … ?! 😉 Does he mean Tingus Pingus?
This is why Windys career is way better off, removing biases. The other two not giving props to the Bucks is just wrong. They have title recently can Knicks or 76ers say that?
It’s not the same team with the same defense or even coach for that matter.
Everything made sense except why the Bulls are ahead of the Hornets. They probably should've made a teir with just those 2 because neither team really belongs with the teams in their teir
Not including Cavs as east contenders like 76rs and Knicks is greatly appreciated. Being overlooked keeps the $$ payoff much higher for an early bet on them to win conference.
Pistons fan here...why not talk about them? How is talking about them any different than talking about the Celtics, Knicks, Lakers, KCP, etc. I am a nobody compared to you guys, but would it be too much to ask to hear some of the ESPN experts (which you are) talk about (in depth) some other teams? The amount of Pistons content is a mere fraction of the teams and people (eg. Tatum) that get routinely talked about on this excellent podcast. I think you guys do a great job, however I was really hoping that an Eastern Conference tier podcast would include my team. You guys have a great product. More Pistons please?
Bontemps must have thought he was the only one on this show. Didn’t shut up
I'm confused.
“we’re not dancing.. speak” 😭
Thanks hat guy!
Tiers of joy !
They completely forgot to mention Paolo averaged 27 in the playoffs. I expect him to be even better with more floor spacing with the KCP addition
Teams getting rewarded for deliberately tanking isn’t great, I’d like to see something done there
49:57 making sure to add “Potential” there was cute
Celtics 🔥 😤
Clippers move for harden backfired they gave up picks and players just for pg to go there a year later
If they don’t make the playoffs this year I see them blowing it up. Will be interesting to see how harden does with all pgs shots
@@sweetchillyphillyc9383they would have to not only make the playoffs but basically make it to the 3rd round for it to make sense to not blow it up after next season. It’s not looking like they will make it to the 3rd round next season.
Harden ain't Harden anymore.
Clippers have no assets left the Paul George trade will go down as one of the worst trades in nba history
@tonymatsonjr1463 repeat after me: they gave up Shai. He was young and was showing his talents on the Floor, in practices and games. OKC should go to jail for thief. The Clippers are the Thunders MVP. They gave up Shai to get a star who plays in Philadelphia.
If they wear the same shirts in the next pod,. I'm gonna start to get a little bit suspicious
It’s funny to hear y’all hype the Celtics when the whole network picked the Mavs to win
they also picked the Mavs to win it last season in the finals what happened? 😂
@@wow-tq1pm I just said that homie lol
The Pacers will be a top 4 seed this year!
Please watch more Magic Games, Paolo is the truth.
The dude in the hat just said the pacers should’ve got Derrick jones jr instead of resigning Toppin because he is athletic and dunks in transition. AKA exactly what obi toppin already does.
Wait till later in September for the West preview? You guys couldn’t have cranked out one more pod before heading to Cancun ???? 😅
Whole Pod is a extended version of Nick's tiers from First Things First. lol
nick wright didnt invent tiers lmao
I agree with Brian the Bucks are still tier 2 team with NYK and Philly Indiana beat a injury plagued team in NYK everybody knows that they also beat Bucks team that didn't have the best players,
Phi, Mil and NY all have an opportunity to get the one seed but I'm still going Bos. But i dont think they win 60 again. I give the 58 n whomever is in the 4 seed of the 4 will still have like 53 wins. So itll be a close race for 1st imo.
The bucks disrespect is crazy
Let them sleep, we flying under the radar
What disrespect? They were awful last year and doc rivers coached them
To say they might be the 3rd or 4th best team in the east? Because that's what they were last year
Yeah giannis is still in his prime but lillard isnt as advertised and everyone else is a fossil. They can make them sweat, but if all healthy, they arent beating the celtics.
I agree Milwaukee better than sixers
Yes, the Knicks or the Sixers or any other teams can dethrone the Boston Celtics.
Just not this coming season or these coming years. ☘️🔥💯
As an analyst for nba
..how da hell u not c the knicks sixers series
.best series of all the playoffs
“The Tankers” 😂😂😂
The celtics went through the east with injuries to Embiid and Giannis. KP's healh is a problem and if they're gonna play an elite big they need him.
That's irrelevant considering they didn't play either of those teams lol
It's weird how these guys ignore the Knicks various injuries while acknowledging Lillard's tough transition to the Bucks and personal issues.
It's weird.
“I dIdNt seE tHosE 2 teAms in tHe coNfeEenCe fInals” we’re talking about this year buddy. What are they paying you for?
Hard to prop up the Celtics as much as some like to do knowing they didn’t go through a healthy, or even semi-healthy, Knicks team.
Miami heat are the dark horse once again & they will love that. Jimmys on a contract yr so he will be out to prove a point, plus they have some great young players ready to ball out. Herro, jamie, jovicplus 7ft rookie kel ware. They actually pretty deep when you think about it.
Speaking of cake walks and luck. Indiana was lucky as hell too.
As a Sixer fan,😞Shamefully, I feel we're 3rd tier. We're not close to the Knicks who are certainly 2nd tier if not 1st. All others are pretenders. GO SIXERS !
As a Knicks fan, I don't think we should be any higher than the Miami Heat tier, who have done more in the playoffs the last 5 years than the knicks have the past 20+ years. But still keeping my hopes up. Go Knicks!
@@JuanVasquez-pl4tj nah. Miami totally sucks. Everyone knows they’re a play in team. Knicks made it to the second round with their bench players. What’s going to happen when Randle Brunson Mikal, Anonoby Robinson play? You guys are blessed. 🙌🏿
Y'all sleeping on Charlotte 😑😑😑😑
😂😂😂
Lamelo is too injury prone
I’m not sleeping on them they’re a top 3 lottery team
@@RayanMADAO Casual fan
No one is sleeping on them. Theyre near the bottom of the east.
Do you get injured more easily if you love drama? Sometimes it seems as if Embid loves dragging himself across the court in "pain". Embid is a great basketball player and a great showman who unfortunately loves drama too much. I don't think he has the mindset to win a title.
YABUSELE is going to do a great season. 😁🇨🇵
Wow clearly that one guy did not watch. Boston had the easiest playoff run ever. Knicks, Indiana, Cleavand all had injuries. I pray for healthy season next season for a good playoffs
53 min show 1 min on the Miami Heat rate them as a possible play in team, the disrespect is laughable, have forgotten Heat deep runs, playoff performer, wretched run with injuries but have drafted well and developing some good young kids. Heat will grow push for top 4 , wouldnt be suprise at conference final
Pacers are going to follow the same track the Kings have that one year a couple of years ago where they were the talk of the town because of their offensive flow, but their defense was awful.
siakam changes that narrative as does turner and a healthy mathurin on the floor together
@@razkable but their defense is still bad, so I don't see it that way at all.
PHI NY Milwaukee MIA IND all depends on Health
Orange and Blue Skies!
Bontemps so sixers biased like the sixers don’t even have a pf and if Paul George has to play pf they definitely not wining a single playoff series
It amazes me how everyone glosses over the fact that Martin is going to be the starting PF, like I don't see that being very productive at all. And we don't actually know yet what cohesion maxey, joel and PG will have
They'll be good but I don't see how they can make it out of the east
@@jackm5290 you can’t have win a championship with a 6’5 small forward as your pf
@@jackm5290 What makes you think Martin is going to be their starting PF? If anything Oubre will play more the 4 than Martin. No one knows exactly what the starting line-up will look like
@@michaelcore9715 It's a good thing they have more than enough draft capital to trade for a better, starting pf by Jan 15th
Nobody stopping a healthy Joel embiid
Pacers are gonna be like the kings were last year
OG Anunoby always gets hurt
jimmy butler is gonna see this. kelly oubre cant kick jimmy butler every year
I like his game
Sixers are a joke. 50+ win team for like 6 years, bounced by hawks, raptors, Celtics x2, heat and now the Knicks sent em packing 1st round and jumped em 👏
They’ve only been 50+ in 4 seasons & in every single one of those seasons they’ve experienced a major injury. Don’t talk basketball if clearly don’t watch it.

76s did not get that much better sorry ..they stilll depend on embid being healthy
agreed. And aging PG13 is not as big of a boost as everyone makes it out to be.
@@Shortballa11 PG is a better player than Tobias who he's replacing lol
How? They replaced Tobias Harris. They got their best back up 5 in the Embiid era to return in Drummond. They added a solid role player in Caleb Martin. And they still have enough draft capital to make 1 final splash closer to the deadline and get a legit Power Forward.
They are in a much better position to take care of Embiid health wise.
@@Shortballa11 good thing it's not just PG that they got. And PG is literally coming just to replace Tobias, so that in itself is a big boost.
Need to stop the narrative that no one knew brunson wouldn't be this caliber player. Dropping 20 30 40 points in the 2022 playoffs and say 4 years 110 mil overpay????? SMH...
How can you ever expect the Sixers to accomplish anything when Emiid never stays healthy and underperforms in the playoffs? Same with "Playoff P".
Miami was riddled with injuries as well. And everyone knows that when healthy, nobody wants to play Miami in the playoffs. Folks want to talk bad about the Heat but they were only 4 wins away from 50 last season which would put them in a two way tie for the 2nd seed with NY. Look at how many close games the Heat were in. Came down to the last shot, last couple minutes, injuries.
You have a solid point, but the problem with Miami is the loss of key players. Last year Vincent and Struss left and this year was Martin's turn. I know that they have the ability to develop players ( Jaquez), but who will step up this year?
@@georgiosgrigoriadis6200 Jovic look out for him. Terry Rozier will have a full offseason with the team, and be healthy. Ware the rookie adds a legit rim protector which they haven’t had.

Bro trusts the Sixers before the Bucks? And wants the Bucks to show him something LOL. How about the Sixers and Embiid first show something like EVER😂
I think I think the Celtics will be disappointed ring night. The Knicks crushed the Celtics during the Season. We have the Wing defenders to handle Tatum and Brown. You have no one for KAT or Brunson. There’s a new Power in the East it’s NY.
Was Kobe considered an "efficient" player?
PAOLO BANCHERO IS THE NEXT GENERATIONAL SUPERSTAR...
ANYBODY ELSE SEEING DIFFERENT IS DELUSIONAL!!
SOME OF THESE GUYS ARE CLOWNS!!!!
I wished that people would stop throwing around the adjective "superstar"! There are only 5 or 6 superstars in the league right now. Embiid, Giannis, Joker, Luka, LeBron, Curry.
Definition of a superstar: a franchise player who is box office and can do what they do at a legendary level and is available to play and their team build around them and a casual fan know who they are and the marketing aspect of their name.
There are levels: superstar, star, role player, potential baller, old vet.
