Hello Jeff, from Revere MA (just a mile outside of Boston). As usual I enjoy your videos and lives. I’m moving to Spain in two weeks but will continue to watch your uploads from there!
I think Massino was gonna be "the ear" (when the Bonnanos got their 2nd wind). Obviously, he got the idea from Gigante. Crew members were expected 2 touch their ear instead of speaking.
Just sent you some $$ through Cash app. I have had surgery and am listening to your podcast or whatever you call it. I am not good with tech stuff. It is a very safe thing to do while recovering. I enjoy History, especially US History. Thanks for making my nights of sleepless night passable. I live in Eugene, Oregon and have no connection with the Mod as far as I know
I saw big ange in Boston once randomly when I was walking into a nice Italian restaurant a guy was screaming "hey beautiful " and we heard her voice just yell back "oh thank you!" and she blew him a kiss lol
Good looks on the show tonight and this was a perfect alternative to not having Monday night football. The Bonnanos from what I remember they hangout on Crosby Ave up in the Bronx.
Interestingly, according to the Mob Archaeologists, there was in fact a family in Atlanta, Georgia, in the pre-Commission days. It may still have existed in 1931, though it was definitely defunct by the time of the Valachi testimony in 1963.
There was Mafia in Savannah, GA. The word I heard was they belonged to a New York family. They were very much in under the radar type people but were very heavy with the state fairs that ran throughout the South. All the port cities had Mafia elements. Italian, Greek, Jewish etc. In Atlanta, it's Albanians, Russians, Greek & Gypsies (Gypsies are off the chain & no joke).
@@BrotherMan1969 Yeah. I’m living in Romania at the moment. The Gypsy crime clans are no joke here either. I recommend checking out the Mob Archaeologists channel if you are interested in the deep history of Cosa Nostra, going back to the 19th Century, as it first came from Sicily to the US. They are digging deep with original research, finding letters between early mafiosi, tying them into settlement patterns of paisani networks from different Sicilian towns as they settled in the US, going through old Secret Service investigative reports, etc. It’s super interesting. They are uncovering all sorts of stuff from the late 19th and early 20th Centuries that has not previously been public knowledge. They say they have confirmation of an official Cosa Nostra family in Atlanta 100yrs ago, and I am inclined to believe them, as the best researchers on the early history of this topic I know.
@@willmosse3684 I wouldn't doubt it. I could see it especially with construction here. The issue for them would be the lack of unions but there's other income streams here they could easily remain under the radar with.
@@BrotherMan1969 Right, got you. To be honest, this was so long ago, it was before major union infiltration by the mob anyway. It would have been a pretty small scale affair, much different to the powerhouse days of the mob a few decades later. Probably confined to protection rackets within the small Italian community. That sort of thing.
He seems to be a disaster. Imagine being the godfather of the mighty bonnano mafia and you send letters to other peoples wifes snitching that rheir husband is cheating on them with mankusos girlfriend 😂😂😂
When mancuso went to prison he asked luchesse associate Mike meldish to look after his girlfriend but mike started to date her himself and ignored mancusos warnings to stay away thats why mancuso sent a letter to Mikes wife . That has to be seen as a snitch move
Just a comment about the guy who mentioned Albert Demeo's status, and unfortunately it looks like he committed suicide back in 2017. Someone on a reddit post was in contact with his (Demeo's) ex-wife, and she was talking about him in past tense and how she couldn't help and love him anymore than she did. That person who spoke to her, did some digging and found his death certificate out of Wake County Registry which listed Albert Anthony Demeo's deceased date of September 28th, 2017.
Wondering about a wise guy named Danny Forgione who came to Ft Lauderdale, got tough with a lot of locals and got killed at the Margate Drive In. by .22s to the head.
Jeff on a serious note do you plan on doing anything on two men who were born into the life & did a boat load of time & much to the dismay of the Fed’s found great success after prison. Joseph “Joey Ping” Pungitore & Phil Narducci. I’ll argue the fact that Joe Pung made more money before going to prison & after prison than Joey Merlino could dream of. He also did it without making a spectacle of himself and robbing bookmakers like Merlino. I think both stories actually could be done as to how these two men became successful when we are talking about the death of the modern mob.
What They don't wear dress shirts or suits anymore? They don't seem to shave either. I imagine if I would see any of these new gangsters on the street, I'd probably think they were English Bankers. That's good though, keep a low profile helps
I know this seems "weird" but wouldn't it be kinda awesome to get a legit psychic and try and "connect" with some of the biggest names in "the life?" Remember when Paulie Walnuts went to the medium in "The Sopranos?" LMAO! "Ummmmmm...he's laughing! WAIT! Ummmmmm...he wants to know if it still itches!" LMAO! Paulie - "Who you been talking too!?" (Paulie then proceeds to throw a folding metal picnic table chair while screaming, "FUCKINGGGGG WHORESSSSSSS!!!" LMAO! Maybe that would be "interesting" to do in October for Halloween! But mark my words...it would be WATCHED! I'd try to contact a old-school Mafia personality like Benjamin Siegel and ask him some pointed questions. Only reason I'd take it back that far would be not to rub any remaining family the wrong way. Sorry I know that was kinda "off-base" but I was just thinking outloud! Have a awesome evening Jeff and everybody else!
Surely the Bonannos need to find a way to replace this guy? He’s making a public fool out of them.
It always amazes me the knowledge Jeff has and just off the top of his head, no notes no hesitation, perfect delivery!
Thanks!
Love ya podcast bro all the way from Australia
Good show Jeff , I liked when you spoke about Big Ang to her brother. 💯👍

They were & they couldn’t
Rosario Gambinos son Tommy Gambino was made under Pete Milano so he’s part of LA family not Gambino
