John Alite responded to me directly after I reached out to him following his daughters passing. My son died in 2019 from fentanyl. The man offered nothing but encouragement and hope at a time he was broken. We messaged back and forth several times. He had no reason to take time out of his day to say two words to me, I’m a nobody from the Midwest. But he did. Say what you want about his past, if he embellished, whatever…in my book, the man’s character is 100. I pray for the soul of Chelsea Alite and I pray for John and his family.

I kinda like John Alite. I don't really think he is just trying to make RUclips money with some big stories.
He's a good story teller and he actually knows some of the old guys that are still around and has them on his podcast.
And I'm sure that he could kick ass too back then.
Just the prison stories are a bit weird, all these guys were in the same prison? Sounds like a bad idea.

Sorry to hear about Alites daughter. No matter what your feelings are about Alite that’s a very difficult situation for a parent to go through. No parent should ever have to bury their children,it’s supposed to be the other way around. I’m sorry for your loss John. My condolences to you and your family. I lost my beautiful wife in 2014,she had just turned 31 years old a few months before. We were together for a decade and that really really hurt. It’s been almost a decade since she had passed away and I still think about her multiple times a day and it really sucks. I know that she was not my daughter so I can’t even imagine what that must be like. I’m sorry for your loss brother. RIP to her!!!

Idk how you can say he gives facts when he repeated a bullshit claim about getting a scholarship for baseball to Tampa when a 2min google search on their website will prove that claim to be bullshit…
A second baseman getting Tommy John surgery at 18yrs old? Wtf
There’s no record of him even being a stand out high school player let alone good enough to get a scholarship to Tampa. Every high school league has a record of their previous awards teams like in Nassau county they have records of all the “all county” or “all conference teams” or in city you’d have list of “all city” or “ all League” teams. No one is getting a scholarship to University of Tampa without being a HS player with verifiable accolades. University of Tampa also on their website has a list of all their scholarship players and baseball rosters and Alite name is no where on there. There is also a list of scholarship players from year Alite supposedly had a scholarship proving he couldn’t of had a scholarship as they have limited number of scholarships available each year and a injury in offseason like Alite claims to have suffered wouldn’t cost someone their scholarship. The odds of a second basemen needing Tommy John surgery at 18-19 is so minuscule I doubt highly that ever happened but Even if it did his scholarship couldn’t/wouldn’t be pulled for a year and he’d have been redshirted!
The guys full of shit and I had to stop watching 10min in as this guy Jeff giving himself a pat on his back for all his research yet he couldn’t do 2min of research needed to dismiss this bullshit claim so why would I Believe he researched anything else.

The show gets better and better with each and every episode. Todays topic of conversation was something that I’ve been wanting to hear for quite some time….from the subject matter, to the presentation and on down the line from start to finish, Jeff, you knocked it out of the damn ballpark today. Keep doing what you’re doing brother….you’re content is phenomenal, it isn’t pretentious, it’s presented in a factual, no b.s. kinda way and I just become a bigger fan each day. Thank you for being you and not needing to try desperately to present yourself as something/someone you aren’t like so many other amateur shows! I think more people knew about the Castellano hit then people realize. In the book "Five Families" John has Ruggiero reach out to multiple people in other Families to take their temperature about whether they would have a problem with Big Paul getting whacked. The only family in the dark I believe was the Genevese Family because of Chin's relationship to Castellano. Gaspipe Casso claimed to know as well. I think many knew but few were loyal enough to Big Paulie to say anything or attempt to intercede

Jeff, with a "deep dive" video on Alite, I wish you would've brought up specific things he said and fact check them to determine what's a lie or not a lie... There's been multiple videos where Alite mentions all these people he shot and some that he killed.. he mentions names so it should be pretty easy to figure out based on evidence and police reports if any of that is true.. and when he said Tommy Karate sent a hit team to his house and he had a shoot out with them.. and all those other crazy specific stories that should be somewhat provable. Also, you didn't even bring up that John Alite website that debunks all his claims.. I'm left the same as I was before seeing your video. I was hoping you could either prove or debunk specific claims that he said.. I know a lot of it can't be proven or otherwise, but all those names he rattles off in some of his interviews that he's shot and some that he killed should be provable.. The only one you mentioned was that Gebbert guy.. Which you said he was locked up at the time... So, I appreciate that you were able to determine that one, cuz I've heard him say he actually shot and killed him so that's a lie.. and I'm sure if you go down the line, a lot of them are probably bs.. And you mentioned his charges, ...if he killed all these people, why was he only charged with 2 murders? And it seems he's taking credit for those John Burke hits.. Do they even know each other, you didn't cover their relationship.. And if he did everything he says, why did he only get 10 years? That sentence was before he cooperated, he got released after doing only one year because of his testimony and put on 5 years supervised release.. I just wish your deep dive was a little deeper.. otherwise, great video like always.

The bottom line is this .
When Alight started cooperating, he proffered to the government that he shot and killed one person .
When he proffered to the government, he had to admit all the crimes he committed if he didn't do so. The government could go back and try him for the crimes committed .
When Alight started cooperating, he was most like told by his attorney to tell them them being the feds every crime you committed because if you don't the feds can come back and try you for the crimes you didn't admit to .
Now that Alight is out of prison he says he killed 5 10 15 20 guys and played a big part of the Gambino crime family lol lol

Tommy Dades was a detective during the 80s and 90s and was asked if he ever heard of John Alite and he stated he had never heard Alite mentioned in any investigations please remember Tommy knows more about the mafia than any of us you may want to get an interview with him if possible he could answer alot of questions about the mafia anyway enjoyed your video.

This idea of breaching Mob protocol doesn’t hold up.
Yes taking the oath is more serious, but all criminals aren’t supposed to talk to law enforcement or snitch on anyone. That’s just universal street code.

Whatever you want to think about Alite, he did go on the run instead of ratting. The man could have immediately became an informate and never spent a day in jail. So imo he has more integrity than most made men.

Alite was kind of 'associtated', but he was never as connected (esp to Senior) as he wants ppl to believe. He was a neighborhood guy and barring the Albanian ancestry thing, he reminded you a lot of Bevilacqua in the Sopranos. He wanted to play gangster WAY too much. He wasnt afraid to use his fists, or a bat and I've no doubt he'd prob. have whacked someone if any real wiseguy asked him to, but why would they? He was a street guy, but not in the sense he tells ppl he was. Hes been told to shut his mouth a LOT..for talking out of turn. Nm look at the Calandra story, of their being in jail. He praised him all over, hoping Jimmy would be as much a glorywhore as him and lie, but when he didnt, he said Calandra was lying. After Senior was sent away, there were a lot of younger guys like him who could never have gotten to John who hung around ppl Junior knew, and Junior himself, wanting to appear Mafia, but they simply were not.

So true: in the 80s I grew up in a mixed neighborhood with Crips. I hung out with them, drank with them, etc. Does that make me a Crip? Nope! They were just my friends. 😉

In the eyes of the government, had they ever dropped a sweeping RICO or you got pinched 🤌 you would have been considered "affiliated" or "associated" with the Crips in the eyes of Law Enforcement.

This is the part of you tube and podcast that we should put aside and think about, whether you like or dislike john alite the man lost his child, John i am very sorry for your loss, may Chelsea rest in peace and i pray that you find peace as a father who lost his beautiful daughter Chelsea. and back to the video, John jr. was your best man your partner in crime [ as they say] in my opinion you two were very close and i believe people under estimate how much you really knew, those are my thoughts, once again I am very very sorry for your loss. Anthony from Boston!

Wanted to add, that Tommy John at that time was a career killer. It wasn’t until recent years that people have continued to have baseball careers post TJ surgery.
