    That little round part on the choke lever goes into the fuel line to plug it. Try it out, you'll be delightfully surprised!

    I been porting all kinds of heads since 1991. The exhaust needs to be smooth as you stated, and clean up edges in intake and then don’t smoothing the intake side out. You need a flow bench if you are touching the intake side because all that grinding out could reduce flow or foul out your spark plug if you can’t see your readings on a flow bench.

    Great video buddy, very informative. I hope you're paying your little white fury helper fair wages because he's hard at work. 😊

    Will you need a larger carburetor after the head work or something like a Mikuni or will the stock carburetor do the job?

    • @jwsbackyard6413

      The factory carburetor will still work just fine. If you’re taking off a larger amount on the intake side you may want to port match the head and the back side of the carb but either way it will still work.

    Not to say something mean or anything, but take pair of biscrips and shut off the fuel that way.

    Sir, I was wondering, I have a 42mm Mukuni Carb and live in FL. If I port and polish my heads do you thing I'll have to up the clip up one on the needle of the carb?

    • @jwsbackyard6413
      @jwsbackyard6413  3 года назад

      I’m not sure, but if you are moving more air you may need more fuel. The only way to really know if you need more fuel is the do some runs and pull the plug and see if you are lean.

      @@jwsbackyard6413 well I pulled the plugs and looked,, REAL LEAN,,, soooo (I orig. had the high speed needle screwed out 2.5 turns.) After taking the clip up one notch I now have the High Speed Needle to 1.5. Runs great, and have a nice brown soot on the plugs??? Is this where I should be?

    • @FreedomWon20

      And I forgot to mention I did go with a .065.2 jet which replace the stock .060

      @jwsbackyard6413  3 года назад +1

      A brown or light brown color with a little carbon is about right but there shouldn’t be a bunch of carbon/soot which would mean you are to rich.

      I wouldn't try to use a carb that big on a 212. No matter what Jetting or needle setting you run it simply not going to give you a ratio gas to air that won't be extremely lean. Better results with a 30mm at most for a built engine.
