I played this & the original Super Monaco GP to death on the Mega Drive back in the day. I still have this for the MD. It's hard going back playing these old racing games after playing more modern racers like Forza 6 etc.
Do i remember right that this game had one opponent you couldn't beat on specific track after you won your first championship? Tried to find which opponent it was but no luck :/

Started playing this on sons Retrobit , played the original to death back in the day, this is more forgiving than the first game and more fun to play, they should have sorted the sound on this one though but it’s a minor gripe. Domarks f1 game is good on mega drive , this is better . Classic racing here

@@rhelenius3670 If you play in "story mode" where you challenge rivals from other teams if you manage to win the 1st season the Madonna team approaches you and offers you the seat of the Mclaren but Ayrton will go Super Saiyan mode and will win most of the races just as he did in Super Monaco 1 as "A. Aselyn" so the key is to try and win the Championship the 1st season with a slower car than the "Williams/Millions" like the Minardi or Tyrrell so that way you force Senna to drive a slower car giving you more chances of winning the 2nd season.
Have to say i really loved this game, still playing it now. By the way you shouldnt be too bothered by the flat out acceleration most tracks you can easily get round the corners without losing speed. Speaks of how sad/anal i am that i’ve reversed the drivers and teams on master mode s9that the legend Senna drives for Moon. Surprised me to say but i have managed to win races with Moon, Cool and Blanche but understandable its no easy.
Great video! This game was just a "cash grab" by Sega, merely a clone of Super Monaco GP using the Senna name to sell copies. I'm a huge fan of Senna but the original was more fun to play. If you're feeling nostalgic, you should play F1 Grand Prix Star on the mame emulator...Its the same era in F1 but way better graphics and a blast to play.
Not only did this game get me into watching F1, but I subsequently became a huge fan of Ayrton Senna - to which I remain to this day.
The voice sounds are indeed from Ayrton Senna's himself!
brings back very good memories I loved this game. I remember asking my mom to rent it when I was sick and then got it for christmas yay!

If you did championship mode you could move up into different cars and different colours. And the car was much quicker using a 7 speed gearbox

Mansell game also good (i playing it Amiga 500) but Senna game is superb😏
