I went to a convention, was lining up to meet someone. Carl Weathers was seated next to that person and had only the occasional fan come up but he was super nice to every one of them, and inbetween was laughing and joking with the people in my line, and happily taking selfies and shit with people from that line even though they werent there to see him. The guy I lined up for couldnt care less, didnt speak to anyone and didnt even look at me. So no, Carl Weathers isnt an asshole.

She didn't have her own band. She joined a band of Prince's that was renamed "Vanity 6" after she was recruited to front it. She then quit the band right before "Purple Rain" the movie came out which she was supposed to have the role that went to Prince's next fling, Appalonia. Vanity went on to a solo career after this. She was never part of Prince and the Revolution.

    • @ExtremelyOnlineGuy

@@eduardopena5893 no she was definitely in the band since it’s inception. Not the revolution but vanity 6. Vanity’s name was gonna be vagina. Prince was just saying fuck it why not then vanity suggested the name vanity and it stuck. And it went from the hookers to vanity 6. 6 for the amount of tits. Fun fact when doves cry is about Susan moonsie from the group. She was the one who’d wear white and was darker than the others. She and prince had a thing going on since they were like 13 and he just dropped her and she cried hysterically and prince was like “hm, amusing, this will be a hit” after that he started doin Wendy’s twin. Vanity (Denise Katrina Matthews) became a Christian a few years after this movie. She became heavely addicted to drugs and it was either give up the drugs or die young. That's was the main reason she turned to Christianity. She had already badly abused and damaged her body, though, and because of her drug abuse her kidneys began to fail her, which lead to her death in 2016 at the fairly young age of 56. Another beautiful actress from Vanity's era I liked was, Apollonia Kotero, the girl who played Prince's love interest in Purple Rain. She was unbelievably gorgeous. Check her out in the Eddie Money (RIP) video-Shakin, and you'll see how pretty she really was.

But why I am commenting here, is that she was the lead female role in a Carl Weathers film named Hurricane Smith, which looks right up the SBIG alley. Just on Cassandra Delany she was once married to John Denver and I have to say she was a very very good looking lady. Just a word of caution, she does not have a good rep, as she was seen as trying to gain a career of John's connections in the entertainment industry.

Action is awesome but couldn’t agree more about the dumb dialogue! Craig Baxley did I Come in Peace which was also batsh1t crazy. Apparently he turned down Hard to Kill because he didn’t want to work with Seagal. Sacrilege!! RIP Vanity.

Love this movie. Actually saw this in the theater. I love that you (That's my close friends and I always do) spot the classic Al Leong. But also note that the guy with the fireball gun, is one of Hans Gruber's terrorists from Die Hard. He's the guy that they station out at the front desk to impersonate the guard.
Recently discovered your channel and I'm totally binging it. You guys have so many great movie videos 👍👍👍

As someone that saw this movie in the theater when it came out, the dialogue is perfect for the time it was made. Watch a movie with Amber or Ginger Lynn to find out what bad dialogue is.

Oh I guess you guys called it out too.

As Jason and Bryan said though, this movie pretty much fucked over his career. Actin Jackson was suppose to be his big break but it bombed so hard he never became a leading actor again.

I remember this movie, watching it on a VHS in '95 with a very limited English knowledge. I couldn't understand anything from the dialogues, but I really enjoyed the action sequences. 28 years later, I still don't understand what they're talking about, and I still enjoy all the action.
...Btw, I'm absolutely impressed by your memory when it comes to actors. I can remember a face, but never a name (that's why being introduced to someone is always a nightmare for me), so that makes it even more impressive.

"Vanity is in this, I don't know what she....did."
A lot of drugs. Unfortunately that fast living caught up with her and she passed away in 2016. This movie was her last "major" role in any film. She went on to play bit parts in other little films and appear as a guest star on tv shows.
