We don't even blame the new man when the married woman leaves her husband for the new man. It's completely stupid to expect more from one gender than the other.

the greatest thing a father can do for his children is to show love to their mother. The greatest respect a wife can give a husband is to not turn her children against him.
"The greatest respect a wife can give a husband is to not turn her children against him" I dunno - I'd settle for not deciding to go cold 5 years into the marriage. If you are going to decide to do that you should have the good grace to ask for a divorce first rather than stringing your husband along.
Every man's dream is to have a wife like this. Someone who no matter your mistakes, you can rely on to help you raise the kids and never poison them against you. Even if some men deserve scorn and retribution for their mistakes, its never good to instill hatred in children for their parent. One parent poisoning their child against another parent is ultimately still harming the children, even if it's warrented. "Hatred is like a hot coal, the longer you hold on to it the more severely you're burned, and the worse the scarring" -Some Indian dude.
When my child grew up & realized her father wasn’t so great, she said to me, “Mom, why did you always paint dad in a good light?” I said, “I didn’t. It wasn’t my place to show you the bad side of him. You had to learn that for yourself.” And unfortunately she did. It broke my heart.
As a wife and mother of sons and daughters, when you bad mouth your husband, it only comes back to hurt you and the children. Better for them to respect their father, even if he's not so great. My husband started out pretty awful, an alcoholic. I stuck by him, and we worked through it, and luckily our kids respect and love us both. Listen carefully to Aslaug’s last words. She wanted Lagaertha to kill her in a way she would end up in Valhalla. Notice L said, “I understand,” to her request and the slight smile on A’s face when she went down.
My ex and I had a horrible relationship but I've always made it a point to not speak ill of my daughter's father. She's almost 17 now and wise enough to make her own opinions and decisions regarding him, but I always refused to poison her against him. Only weak and worthless mothers would do that to their children.
You're one in a million. So many parents use and abuse their children like pawns to hurt the other. It only ends up hurting the child in the end.
God bless you
Wow. You ain’t weak.
You're a good mother. You've allowed your daughter to determine the worth of their relationship and to see him for what he is to her.
You've armed her with the truth and the freedom to make her own judgement, unclouded by your own experience with him.
The child should know the truth.
When you don't love someone, but still respect them. This is better than pretending to love someone.
“i could not help myself”
But lucky is the Man to have such Wife
He is right, as a warrior 👍👍👍
For those who missed it /did not recognize it the piano music resembles strongly "another love " by Odell
The music is by Ludovico einauldi it's called "experience "
Thx guys
Great scene and great acting by Auslag's actress
He never says he loves her…….and that says everything.
Cause doesn't simple
He literally said love didn't bring them together, even she knew that.
Because he never did love her. Which becomes clear when he says he wished he never left the farm
Ruthlessness is a switch you turn on and off love and gratitude are always there.
He really loved Aslaug and Lagertha, as he is really thankful for being a huge part of his life as they never poisoned their sons minds even though their father was kind of an asshole, a womanizer, and greedy.
Ragnar has ways with words. Not fighting that made him king but also his words . He always knew what to say and when to say it
Oh, so beautiful, sad and complex 🥺.
Now I forgive her .
Never. She did so much damaged to Lagerths and her family
@Sylvia Martinez that other girl was a skank
@@david598 what other girl?
That’s awfully big of you 😂
@@sylviamartinez9810 Ragnar is the one who did the damage. Ragnar is the one who betrayed Lagertha. How can a woman who owes you no loyalty, and doesn't even know you, betray you? It's ridiculous how we blame women for men cheating on their wives. We never blame men for sleeping with a married woman, unless the man knows and is close to the married womans husband. We don't even blame the new man when the married woman leaves her husband for the new man. It's completely stupid to expect more from one gender than the other.
Thanks for the subtitles! Greatly appreciated it 👍 sometimes I can't understand their accents
You're welcome! I'm glad I could help
The acting in this show is underrated
Every bad boy has a soft side. It can be hard for a man to admit his failings and to thank his wife for doing what he couldn't. You can see in her face that she still loved him.
Amazing performances!
Great acting on her part..
You didn't have to like or love her but you damn sure had to respect her! She held the fort down while Ragnar raided for a very long time.
He didn't love her. But respected her as he says so that's a good thing
Travis Fimmel was absolutely epic as Ragnar! One of my absolute favorite characters, he gave that role everything he had and everything it deserved!
The moment Ragnar left Largetha was the moment his fall begun.
This hits close to home.
He always loved largatha
It’s also truly sad because before all this, she wanted his love. She came to him as an untamable, witty young princess and ended as broken-hearted, neglected and cold woman who feels unloved and forgotten. A product of years after her circumstances. None of them were perfect but damn, Auslaug did her very best to the bitter end, no matter what betrayals, dashed hopes, and danger came her way.
The only reason she never poisoned his sons minds aghast him, is because she knew she herself, she wasn't a good person either. The only son that cared for her, was Ivar, because he is the only one she took time for, because she felt guilty.
she was good mother to them all
I thought lagertha was wrong for killing her that was actually fucked up..
Her head is fucked up man..i dont know why ppl love her after that😂
Very true , women tend not to direct their murderous intent towards husband or boyfriend when they cheat it’s always towards the woman the man cheated with 😂 lagartha harbored all that hate and revenge for aslaug for years but loved Ragnar make it make sense
These tears without words 😢
the greatest thing a father can do for his children is to show love to their mother. The greatest respect a wife can give a husband is to not turn her children against him.
"The greatest respect a wife can give a husband is to not turn her children against him"
I dunno - I'd settle for not deciding to go cold 5 years into the marriage.
If you are going to decide to do that you should have the good grace to ask for a divorce first rather than stringing your husband along.
@@mnomadvfxNobody ever just goes cold. There were reasons.
@@mnomadvfxYour self pity has no place here.
Did anyone else think this was a red dead clip at the start, with arthur with big beard
a touching way of a man saying "I USED YOU" to a woman he abused
You have healing to do.
Her heart fell when he didn’t say, and for all that I love U
But it's the truth
She was true queen
She did cheat though. That’s when he started being mean to her
Aslaug was hands down the best and most virtuous queen in that show
Found the dude who forgot two of her kids fell through ice and almost drowned because she was off banging Harbard instead of watching them.
Travis was born for that role. Still waiting to see him in something else where he performs that well.
You suffered my words..😢...poor Ragnar...you endured your own ambition..😮 only to fall short over over ..agian...but you allways had home😢
Some Indian dude - 🤣🤣🤣
wife like Ass Log? hahaha nah bro maybe the man of your type He Fucked Odin leading to the death of Rollo's partner.
I think because I taught them to respect him, and I earned their respect through keeping my temper, and having self control.
That's not something tò emulate, staying with an alcoholic
😂 well that won’t be me, this is why I refuse to be with anyone who drinks alcohol. A mess
@@azibanatoebiribo 🤣 well, we've been together now for 25 years, and all our kids are great, 2 of them are happily married, and none have drug or alcohol issues... I'm very happy I stuck it out.
I didnt speak ill of my ex after we divorced and supported my boys having some kind of relationship with him. However I didnt push them into a relationship either. He treated us like show ponies. Sadly, they were disappointed with every interaction with him, and they see what I know him to be. I had to be careful to not say unkind words about him, and reminded them so.edsy their anger towards him will heal. I taught them to establish boundaries with him so they werent emotionally tied ant results in the relationship for damage control. Super painful to experience them being hurt. I broke my heart. I remember once my son spoke with a counselor. A while after the session, my son told me the counselor suggested he lower his standards in relation to his dad. My son replied " tobthe counselor that they couldnt be any lower. He was 17. The counselor didnt offer any further suggestions. Both the boys now have little to do with him. Their dad doesn' even know how old they are or when their birthdays are even though we divorced when they were in their early teens. I'm glad i didn't force them into having a relationship with him, and just focused on trying to help them let go.
The kids deserve to know the truth.
