    It's actually had very minimal marketing...

    Amen. "But where is the huge marketing campaign months out from release?" for a game from a studio whose whole thing is 'we do AAA production values on a tight budget' is the kind of take from a big channel playing at 'knowing' things which means either fool or fraud. And, yeah, I was clickbaited too with it. Anyways, hopefully a good game coming for those of us who are into what Ninja Theory are doing with the Hellblade series.

    Nah, this is definitely a case where they’ve gauged the reception and decided to reduce the marketing budget.
    Whether it’s still considered an indie game, the budget far outweighs that of a normal Indie title.
    And would’ve showcased graphically what XBox is capable of.
    There’s no denying that they definitely haven’t started the marketing campaign, for a game that’s due to hit Gamepass day one, very soon.
    Whether it’s indie or not, XBOX should be championing it, because that in turn champions their subscription service.

    The target audience for HB2 is adults and generally 25+ which is a very small market when compared to ppl below 25 especially kids that has a HUGE market that focuses on sports and 1st/3rd person shooters. I do agree the marketing for HB2 is lacking but this seems to be a trend w/ a lot of games as of late. I pre ordered HB2 as I loved the 1st but I don't expect it to do well in sales and tbh I don't expect Ninja Theory to last bc the market for this type of game just doesn't make sense given the current ecosystem of gamers.

    Its how these clown channels get money. They grift, rage bait, and fearmonger over every little thing with gaming cause it gets them clicks and money. He tries to come across as this smart "skeptic", but really what he does is audience capture and feeds his audience what they want to hear, then everyone repeats whatever inflated bullshit online and the cycle continues. Its annoying as hell cause so many YT channels are like this. There are worse channels than his though.

      I don't know, he was pretty spot on with Suicide squad... I don't know why you guys think it's fear. Mongering, LO, L, that doesn't make sense.

    • @CoffeeThe
      @CoffeeThe  Месяц назад +1

      everybody that saw suicide squad could tell it was going to be bad, thats why they delayed it twice and changed the marketing. in this case he's saying Xbox is hiding hellblade while saying they already had many previews with xbox's biggest critics. to what end is that not narrative fear mongering. throwing ninja theory in front of the bad PR is a horrible idea, but since Xbox didn't do it the game must be bad, or the marketing team is incompetent.

    I’m not saying you’re wrong, but what marketing does HB2 have? (Besides the Xbox posts) Genuinely curious. It should have marketing anyways tbf, any game should unless it’s literally like their first game and they’re indie devs who have absolutely no money for marketing. Idk, just my opinion I guess lol. Also $50 for an indie game is quite interesting. Usually they’re $20-$40, not that I will play or buy this game most likely anyways so it’s not important to me.

  • @TheElitistSavage

    That Luke Stephens he does that with all games. He did that with Rise of Roin, Starfield, Suicide Squad KTJL
    It’s his type of channel he’s one of the skeptic RUclips to help people control people hype

    • @captain4318
      @captain4318 Месяц назад +1

      He ain't in it to control hype or anything, he's in it for the grift. Getting the clicks and views by jumping on hype and controversial topics. Nothing wrong with that, it's clearly working for him. But he's a vanilla bait channel that fears to go against the crowd. Like just a couple days ago he quickly removed his Helldivers video when people didn't agree with his shitty take 🤣 0 spine, 0 original opinions. If you hear him say something, it's either already the popular consensus or he is using a rising reddit thread to write his videos. Ah well, it's an improvement over stealing entire videos..

    I am so tired of the click hungry gaming RUclipsrs bullshit . They report on anything they think will get clicks even if it’s not true . What’s sadder is the fact that so many people watch it because they are a bunch of gossip b word’s . Remember when gaming news was a lot more fun and exciting

    Ninja Theory isn't an indie studio. They made a high quality Devil May Cry game. Wasn't a big fan of the characterization of the characters in that game but that was tripple A quality stuff for its time. The last game Ninja Theory made was some kind of an arena shooter which died the same week it got released. Now it took them forever to release Hellblade 2. I'm hopefully that Hellblade 2 will be a great game but there really isn't any big marketing push behind that game. And there absolutely should be. If it's anything like the first game, then it will be an experience. I follow all big games very closely and especially those I'm interested in - and even I wasn't aware that Hellblade 2 is coming out. And I've been waiting on that game ever since they showed that amazing reveal trailer. If I don't notice all of this, then neither will your average joes.

    • @CoffeeThe
      @CoffeeThe  Месяц назад +2

      so you skipped the dev direct, the nvidia event, the epic event showing off meta human in action, and ninja theory's whole RUclips channel. and you expect anybody to believe you followed this game closely. everything i just said was this year by the way, weeks and months apart. i guess a replayable ads is all that counts for marketing

    • @EldritchUniverse
      @EldritchUniverse Месяц назад +7

      @@CoffeeThe What you just listed isn't marketing, my dude. I work in marketing. If we marketed stuff that way absolutely no product would sell because casual mainstream consumers don't follow a double A developers RUclips channel or watch tech demos. And yes, ADS are marketing, physical, digital and in the form of videos. And in this day and age more importantly massive Social Media campaigns following the trends. Look at how Stellar Blade was marketed and compare that to Hellblade 2.
      I'm concerned that Hellblade 2 will fall under the radar big time and that Ninja Theory will get shut down by Microsoft. You can't release two bombs back to back in this day and age of capitalism and free markets.

    • @progenlock7785
      @progenlock7785 Месяц назад

      @@CoffeeThethat is NOT marketing, and I’m a marketing major with the degree and years of experience to back it up. Where are the trailers, developer interviews with major publications, any demos, anything to actually reach a wider audience? What you listed only works for people who play games as their primary hobby or are extremely interested in all things games, or are already excited for HB 2. What you said is not going to help extend their reach for an audience. This game has the potential to do extremely well as I expect it to be a handcrafted beautiful piece of art, but it may have to be the word of mouth that really helps it, because the pre-launch marketing is pathetically weak.

    So do you think Hellblade 2 is getting the same marketing push as Starfield? I think we can all agree it’s not, abs this is why people are worried about the game performing well. The 16 second short commercial for Hellblade on RUclips is horrible. It looks like they got an intern to put it together and looks nothing like say Starfield which wasn’t the greatest either tbh, but at least they had something to get people hyped. This isn’t about the game being great because the first one was and so will this but if that doesn’t translate to sales, people are afraid Ninja theory will be the next dev to get closed and it’s a valid fear to have.

    • @CoffeeThe

      hellblade 2 has had more stage time than starfield. from music numbers at the game awards to being on stage being shown off as a technical marvel by tech companies everywhere. is it being treated like bethesda's next big thing? hell nah because it doesn't hold as much weight as Bethesda. its definitely not being hidden from the public in any way. ninja theory is not held to the same standards as AAA Bethesda game studios. thats a good thing.

    • @Da1Rocky
      @Da1Rocky Месяц назад

      Absolutely insane take to justify propping up Bethesda's mediocre game over Hellblade Hardcore gamers may watch award shows but youd be foolish to think mainstream does. And that's what MS wants. Mainstream numbers to buy games despite little to know advertising (i havent seen a single ad for this game) and putting the game on Gamepass, then being upset when it doesnt sell enoguh.
      MS really doesn't have any vision, they literally let numbers and trends dictate which is why they always feel left behind. Not giving studio's like lion head time and resources to grow all because their series was profitable but not gangbusters profitable which is what MS wanted. So they shut them down instead if giving them time and money (4 years) to make a possible skyrim, or witcher 3.
      @CoffeeThe

    • @CoffeeThe
      @CoffeeThe  Месяц назад +1

      lionhead fucked off millions for years thats why they closed. the same studio that made witcher 3 had time and money still released cyberpunk and almost bankrupt themselves. hellblade 2 doesn't have the same expectations and pressures of starfield. but for some reason people want them treated the same. giving them AAA expectations and not be a AAA studio sounds outrageous, hellblade 2 has a game preview with IGN and not even 1 million people clicked on the video. hellblade 2 trailer from last year showcase didn't crack a million, the trailer from the game awards didn't crack a million. they have been showing the game, its not a mainstream title so it doing exactly what its expected to. they will probably release another trailer or something for launch week, but lets not act like this is a high profile game.

    • @Da1Rocky
      @Da1Rocky Месяц назад

      @CoffeeThe ok dude I could really gonna disregard everything after that first sentence. If you really believe that lionhead fucked off and it wasn't ms who forced them to work on dumb free to play projects thats supposed to financially do well but also be cheap...sure the studio just didn't do anything that's the reality in your head.
      Hellbade doesn't have the same expectations despite having tech 10 years more advanced than starfield. Absolutely insane if you see the tech involved and you think starfield is the aaa choice outta the two

    • @CoffeeThe
      @CoffeeThe  Месяц назад

      expectations are earned. starfield was expected to be a massive success no matter what. hellblade 2 doesn't have that. so ninja theory can create without that pressure using all the new unreal engine experimental technology like meta human. Bethesda and ninja theory are not equals in gaming and nothing is wrong with that.

    Just subscribed. Good content, bro, no bullshit. These guys want to complain about everything, negativity is the trend right now, specially against Xbox because the media pushes it all the time. That dude want to Hellblade, a somewhat budget niche game, to be marketed just like Spiderman or Cod, a big game made for the masses...
