I'd go back to the stock fan solution, any CPU you run on that board will not need that amount of cooling. Then I would add a second stick of memory so you can have dual channel (like you mentioned you will). A GTX 1650 low profile would pair well with this system and avoid you having to cut the back of the case. If you don't care about cutting then make sure whatever standard high card you use can be powered by the PCI slot alone because that stock PSU in there i only probably 200-300 watts. You could Velcro strap the SSD to the chassis so it doesn't flop around.
That's what I'd do. I experiment with these all the time. Great bang for the buck. I also just subscribed. Keep it up!

Not sure if you have time or transportation, but I periodically look in dumpsters and curbside stuff for electronics - PCs, laptops, Chromebooks, gaming systems /consoles, tablets - if you have the time you might be able to find other PCs or laptops 🤓

ddr3l is supposed to be compatible with ddr3.it's only if you try and put a ddr3 with a pc that has ddr3l already that it wouldnt work.

A few things my man. A 1060 wont fit. you need a single slot low profile card if you want to keep that case. if you really want performance you basically only have two options on the market. the rx550 4gb low profile(yeston or dell) and the rx 6400 low profile (sapphire, xfx) pretty much all other cards have only 2gb vram wich isnt enouch for gaming today. another thing you might take into consideration is putting this motherboard in a new case so you can fit a full size graphics card in there wich would give you much better performance for the price as low profile gpus are more expensive. you can find guides on how to case swap your optiplex online.

There’s a couple of ways to use one.
Seeing that he’s running a convertible he could:
Cut away the back PCI case brackets and use a single fan card.
Get a riser cable and use standoffs as a mount horizontally.
      Neither is worth the effort.

The plan with the sff 3020 was to build a mobile pc that could run Csgo at 150+ fps(Csgo is the only game I really play on pc)
Now as for my regular 3020 see ep.1 I did put a 4790k, 16g ram, and a 1660s 4gb in it to have a secondary pc me and my gf could both play on. It’s a alright build. But thanks for the info👍

@@redboixadgfxd7831 yeah but it is dual slot and probably wont fit in there(+ performance is better comparable to a standard 3060)

the ram you originally tried is not compatible with your board because it is a 16gb ecc module that is intended for servers and workstations and not for office and desktop computers ...

I recommend 1050 or 1650, if you have a slim like that a 1530 or 1030 is good bc it will fit without a raiser
