Thank you! I’m not very interested in hats, but I did want to know about screen print transfers. Are they just as durable as direct? Is there colored paper for white?
Both methods are great options and can outlive the life of a garment! I think the transfer paper only comes in white, but you can still print in white ink on that.
Hola .. vi el video en Instagram y ahora lo ví por RUclips pero no me queda claro en qué superficie estampas el diseño para luego transvasar a el gorro .. espero poder hacer tu técnica .. gracias
I’m so glad you found the video, I first screen print the plastisol ink onto transfer paper: www.pigskinsandpigtails.com/a/plastisol-transfer-paper then I cover the ink in adhesion powder: www.pigskinsandpigtails.com/a/plastisol-transfer-adhesion-powder
@@pigskinsandpigtails after hearing up the transfer, is there anyway to possibly pressure adhere the print rather than with a heat press? I want to do this with paper tubes and I am not sure I can use heat!
Cleaning plastisol ink is trickier than water based ink- I’m working on a video explaining the process. This is what you need to use to remove the ink from the screen: www.pigskinsandpigtails.com/a/plastisol-cleaner
Depending on the style of hat, you may be able to. You will just want to make sure the surface is flat and that you are able to heat press it without the bill getting in the way.
Not me now realizing I can do this for my sizing labels for t shirts instead of spending $120+ for transfers!! You are the queen of “do it yourself”
Yessss 🙌 Us boss ladies can do it all!
I just realized I might be able to do this process with a rubber stamp. I thought of it because the process kind of reminds me of embossing powder
Interesting idea, I haven’t tried that!

Once again, you’ve blown my mind
🙌 I love how these look in person!
Do you have a video on doing multi color transfers?
Not yet! That process is a little more complicated- I may try it out though!
The link to the adhesion powder takes me to the transfer paper

Is this like the DTF hack but with plastisol ink instead of sublimation ink?
It’s similar to DTF but more economical and something you can DIY without a printer. This does require plastisol ink though!
@@pigskinsandpigtails after hearing up the transfer, is there anyway to possibly pressure adhere the print rather than with a heat press? I want to do this with paper tubes and I am not sure I can use heat!
Can I use the same transfer powder that is used for DTF or is it a completely different powder?
I’m not sure- I’ve only used this one for screen print transfers: www.pigskinsandpigtails.com/a/plastisol-transfer-adhesion-powder
Thank you, I will just get the one you suggest!
How do you wash screens with plastisol ink? Is it not supposed to go down the drain?

En qué papel lo estampas para luego poner ese polvo ?
Thats screen print transfer paper: www.pigskinsandpigtails.com/a/plastisol-transfer-paper
What about if you want to print on the side of the hat
Depending on the style of hat, you may be able to. You will just want to make sure the surface is flat and that you are able to heat press it without the bill getting in the way.
