Thanks for the detailed tutorial! One thing you did leave out though is if you are using a thin fabric you want to put something between the front and back to prevent the ink from bleeding through.
I didn't realize screen printing could be so easy! I'm one of those people that doesn't like the feel of HTV, and the designs I want to do (from personal art) align better with the process of screen printing than vinyl. Thank you for this great tutorial!

I watched a few other videos that had a crazy process, with tons of chemicals and having to keep the screen in the sun for like 2 days I was like whattt lol but I realize those videos were old, before the amazing use of cricut. Thank you for this! I screen printed my boyfriends work shirts for his business over the weekend. They turned out great! Thank you again for always giving such detailed instructions!

Great tutorial! You answered all the questions I couldn't find answers to and I feel more confident to start my first screen printing project. Thank you
Saw a video where they used HTV on the screen, which made it reusable. The screen can be washed with the design on it, as the design is fused to the screen 😊
This was super helpful thank you! What do you do if you want to do multiple shirts in a row, do you have to wash in between or can you just move the screen to the next shirt?

Thanks Jeni! Yes, so this is water based ink using vinyl and my Cricut to create the stencil. The ink is totally different but still very permanent. It’s so easy!

Heat guns often get way hotter than heat presses, so I'm not sure it would be a good idea to hold a heat gun at fabric for an extended period of time. It may work, but I would be nervous about weakening the fabric. You could use a household iron to heat set instead. I have also heard of people putting it in the dryer for a while, but I haven't tried that myself.
I love your video! I'm starting this adventure to help out my husband's business! It's all new to me so I've had a couple of mess ups. most of all is how do you clean ink from bleed-throughs, so it doesn't get on the next shirt? or do you have to throw it away and start over again?
I haven't tried this, but on another site one person commented that he taped pennies to the corners to keep the screens further from the shirt,so when he lifted the screen off it didn't bleed onto the shirt.
Hi, this is amazing! One question, do you have to clean the screen with water if you are making the same design on multiple shirts? How often do you need to clean it between shirts! Thanks
This video was soo helpful! I was a little hesitant to watch it at first because it was over 15 minutes, but man! you covered all the doubts I had and then some. One question though... did you have to put some sort of protection inside the shirt so that the ink didn't go through? Thanks!
Thanks so much! Sometimes getting all the info is worth watching a longer video ☺️, but I honestly think the same way lol! I personally never put anything between the layers and I’ve never had it bleed through, but you can use parchment paper in between if you’re nervous about it.
I’m not sure what you mean by the squishy thing. The squeegee? No, the adhesive is on the backside and the squeegee only runs over the front, so there is no issue there ☺️
Hi Alex! Would you need to clean the screen each time if you are doing multiple shirts with the same design? Can you share that process? Not sure if you have another video with those details! Thank you!
I used the same products with a stencil I made but your process looks so much easier then my attempt. The only step I missed was heat sealing at the end, is it too late to do this if the shirt has been washed already?

I have been trying to find a video like this for the cricut for so long thank you!! Is screen print better then the iron on method with heat? An does the screen printing work if you make/draw your own design?

Very good videos. I am getting ready to start playing with my screen. I have a question. In your video on washing the screens yiu have removed the vinyl before washing. Is it possible to wash it with the vinyl on the screen? Thank you
You can screen print on most fabrics, but the best options are cotton and cotton/ polyester blends. The fabric needs to withstand being heat set, so fabrics like rayon are going to scorch and not do as well as cotton.
Hi thank you so much for this super awesome informative video. I have a couple of questions, what brand of transfer tape do you use in this video? Also I am planning on using my Cricut vinyl cutter from Michael's for this project do you think that will be OK?
I was wondering how many shirts you could do? i wasn't sure if the vinyl would only last for a couple or like 20 or so. I haven't tried this yet and I am wanting to get information before I try!! thanks!
It depends on how fast you work. The vinyl will last no problem, but the water based ink dries quickly, so that’s what you’re working against the clock for. So I can’t give you an exact number, but the more you do it the more shirts you can do at once. ☺️
I would say that thinner coats of ink work better if the shirt is going to stretch. Great tutorial! How many times would you be able to reuse this? Will the print start to come off the silk screen or is it permanent?
Do you mean reuse the design or reuse the screen? The vinyl comes off the screen easily so you can clean it between projects.
I also wonder about this :) is it possible to clean the screen with the vinyl on and reuse it, or do I HAVE to take the vinyl off when cleaning?
Saw a video where they used HTV on the screen, which made it reusable. The screen can be washed with the design on it, as the design is fused to the screen 😊
