    As a mentalist, I immediately saw how awesome this tool would be. I honestly could not wait to purchase it.
    This could have been a deck with just emotions on it and it would have been great. Trained mentalists can use immediately, beginners have a cheat code to perform effects that I trained for years to achieve. This does not remove the need for the psychology subtleties needed to perform great mentalism experiences.
    While the “100th monkey effect” is not the true 100th monkey method, you could get an outcome similar for lay people (dual reality). I perform 100th monkey often and it is more nuanced than this.
    Thanks Steve for your honest review and your years of training and mentorship.

    When Alakazam opened for business yesterday morning, I was on the phone ordered this item straight away and at only £31 a great price for what you get here. ..deck of the year for me so far but Blackpool is around the corner. Thank you for your comprehensive review.

    Thanks Steve, agree with most of what you point out - even if there is still some hours to go in the tutorial. But honestly apart from having the thoughts of really great people about ways to use this deck - the main value is to find your own way of using it and to become aware of your own emotions and relation with magic.
    Of course one can use it just for a „trick“ and there are things built into it for doing that but for the deeper (and more powerful) stuff it is always good to first ask yourself why are you doing it. And you become aware that a lot of the deceptions are not needed anymore and that you can now ride without the training wheels and start creating real magic. Thanks 🙏🏻

    What a fantastic review. You touched on some of the issues that someone could have with this type of effect. I generally don't like motivational posters very much. They "evoke" images of American style motivational speakers. Pretty guys in Armani suits and bleached teeth. Fortunately Craig is not one of those. This release looks really good.

    Lovely. I ordered mine on it's release. $40 for a card collection of unique properties and teaching of an incredible amount of mentalism and card handling techniques probably make this the deal of the century. Thanks, Steve for your heartfelt explanations .

  • @ninepinezine
    @ninepinezine 8 месяцев назад +2

    Steve, I don't believe that one of the two extra cards uses the 100th Monkey principle. The effect may be similar but the method is completely different (and quite primitive).
    The two extra cards (no double backer which is a real disappointment) therefore seem to be superfluous leaving effectively a half deck of 26 cards for the price of a full deck. Better to make a thick card / double backer from them. That said the many concepts built into the 26 cards look great and the ideas to use them are good, but it would be nice to have more cards for the money.

    • @magic-tv
      @magic-tv 8 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for the comment. I wanted to include something a little more creative than a double backer but if this wasn’t the best idea I’m very sorry

    • @RealMagicReview

      Yeah it's simpler. But got a lovely response playing with it after I recorded my review. So a nice bonus. I reckon it's a really good price and maybe we'll be able to get some extras.

    Interesting point re: lots of download content v less download content. Intuitively getting more content sounds fab and of course you can always pick and choose what you want to watch. It's nice to have the choice. I'd caveat 'the more the better' point with how many people have the time to watch lots of content or actually ever get round to watching. Think it's a moot point which ever way you lean. Be interested in what others think.

    • @RealMagicReview
      @RealMagicReview  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I think you can't really have too much. As anything can inspire an idea. I'm just jokey moaning as a reviewer! But genuinely, I like the idea of longer content.

      @@magic-tv No, it's not the same thing. It doesn't matter though, I'm sure you'll sell loads of these, just not to me. I have a hard and fast rule when it comes to magic: "do not buy anything that needs hype to sell it"

    • @martinscircusskillsworkshops
      @martinscircusskillsworkshops 8 месяцев назад

      @@MexieMex @magic-tv Does raise an interesting set of questions:
      When does marketing cross over into hype?
      Would a novel/quality product sell without a degree of hype? (or sell as well)
      Can too much hype ever be counter productive to selling a product?
      Maybe make a good discussion video for youtube.

    • @MexieMex
      @MexieMex 8 месяцев назад

      @@martinscircusskillsworkshops I think good products can (and do) sell themselves. I always find the more something is hyped the less confidence the producers of it actually have in it's ability to sell (despite their claims), hence their desperation to try an push it before people work out it's actually a bit duff. That's the funny thing here, I'm sure this would have (and will regardless) sell very well, but Craig and Murphies find pointless hype more adictive than crack cocaine.
