I love how George Jetson switches from "bedraggled starving man" to "self-satisfied smug jerk" the instant that Peanut asks if they're from Florida.
Yeah, the design on that expression is top-tier.
I died when Harvey looked at the calendar
@@andrewcarlson3486 Don' forget, The Jetsons were made in the early 60s, just like the 60s anime Astro Boy. And back then, people thought the future would have flying cars. Even in TMNT Turtles in Time which came out 1991 Arcade 1992 SNES, in the level Neon Night Riders Konami predicted 2020 will have flying hoverboards and that didn't happen.
@@HyperSonicXtreme these predictions are disappointingly wrong
@@HyperSonicXtreme i mean, 'flying car' is sort of what a helicopter is. so you know that sorto f came true
Man I can't wait for the year 2002.
Jack Lobrano That joke is so 2004.
*sent from internet explorer
U guys wanna instant message? Wat r ur AIM or MSN screen names?
Jack Lobrano
We could see the original Powerpuff Girls sue the reboot
So I feel scammed. I double checked the 2002 thing and the only date I can find is 2062, a hundred years from when the show first aired.
Context: If you want to know why George Jetson and the gang are 'bedraggled and starving' as RequestingPickup put it, it's because of the fact they thought the 'robotic floor' was broken so they began to walk, and they haven't done that ever so it took them a whole day to get to the desk.
Kinda highlights their incompetency that they assumed computers didn’t exist yet but somehow there were supposed to be fucking moving stairs.
There were two casualties
@benimel3204 and it highlights how everything is so convient that they are incapable of doing anything themselves and doing the most basic of tasks is practically hard labor
Kind of a weird joke since George running on the treadmill is the iconic Jetsons gag.
So like Wall E?
I absolutely love the calender joke.
Really?
It just gets better with age
It's the only joke I still remember from this show
Good thing that Harvey Birdman has this head up his ass apparently he’s not even paying attention except to small details and then all of a sudden takes the case even after being ridiculed in front of by George Jetson as a talking apeman. Eventually showing punch cards and a very large cell phone it looks like it was from the 1980s and well the rest is history. Nowadays whenever someone is on the job they normally don’t have to use cards anymore some still do but then there are those using their fingerprints there manually getting in with their phone on an occupation or using their eye and whatever to clock in.
George: the magnificent far off year of 2002
Harvey: (sees 2004 on calendar) really
When I first heard Elroy in this video, I was like "Holy crap it's Tom Kenny"
Tom Kenny can do a lot of voices, but that's his Spongebob voice exactly :P
Wonder if he meant to do that on purpose.
Alec Eisenbison no he didn't. Don't act dumb.
He literally uses his Spongebob voice for Elroy. I love it
@Octavion Winship and spyro
No one like this post
This is a fine number
Dont anybody dare
Its mid 2023 and im still amazed at how accurately the Jetsons predicted the future.
Tbf I think George was born recently
@@supahcomixGeorge is 40 years old in the show, and it takes place in 2062 (exactly 100 years after the airing of the first episode)
So yeah, George was born last year
like back to the future when to the far future of 2015
Hearing Tom Kenny outside of SpongeBob is always delightful
George Jetson pulls up a blocky cell phone that you can place calls on for a few hours, Peanut whips out a flipphone you can place calls on for certain hours, I'm watching this on my Galaxy phone.
My call time is INFINITE.
I'm watching on my sad ass weak android, also ur famous
To dab even further, your phone, is in fact, A MINIATURE SUPERCOMPUTER...relative to those people.
The joke ages like a fine wine, only getting better.
Cool. Too bad you got no one to call for that infinite amount of time
WAIT!!! YOU CAN USE GALAXY TO CALL SOMEONE!?

Gets funnier every year

Really.
Really?
Really.
really now?
Really is that true?
0:19 The way Jane devours the tie, gulps it down like a duck, waits for it to settle, then goes back to looking cheerful!
This is officially the closest we’re getting to having spongebob on adult swim
THANK YOU!! Scrolling forever to see it mentioned!!

That was a meme
Yes,that is what happened.Good for you.
I love how the beginning is them not being used to walking and crawling on the floor
Is not that, is that there isn't a transporting band.
@@tentaclesmod That's.... what he meant
@@UnclePip Yeah, in hindsight I dunno why I said that
👍
So that's the joke. We always see them flying or having moving walkways so it makes sense.
So The Jetsons takes place in 2002 yet George was born in 2022. I guess Time Travel exists in their world too.
The Jetsons take place in the 2060s, a century after the show aired.
So George lied about the time he came from?
@@oshomroni I'm guessing they changed the date for the calendar joke
@@ergonautilus 2062 actually because the Jetsons was made in 1962 and was set 100 years after 1962
George should sue the past
So did the Jetsons forget how to walk?
They did it pretty often in the Flintstones crossover.
They have a lot of treadmill and unnecessary transportation everywhere in their future, making them very lazy and rarely doing any exercises.
@@pramanabudiman9761 Did you watch the Jetsons meet the Flintstones?
@@YowLife no I don't, but I did remember watching one of the episode and also watched the WWE movie special.
@@pramanabudiman9761
The Jetsons went into the prehistoric ages and showed that they could walk.
They did it a lot in that movie.
To quote Mari from Love Live Sunshine: "It's Joke!"
We used punch cards for art projects in elementary school. There were literally tons of them around. The punch card sunflower I made might have told the story of a man's treatment for gonorrhea.
Beautiful
For context, the Jetsons wore themselves out by spending all night walking from the elevator to the desk since Birdman’s office didn’t have one of their moving sidewalks.
The sheer sarcasm in this was and is amazing.
It's 2021 now. A whole 19 years since The Jetsons took place
*Looks at the year 2020 and 2021 so far*
We have to be the biggest disappointment.
Except the actual jetsons show was the year 2062.
@@demiliomason1565 Well, we got about another 40 years, which might not even be much improvement
it be nice to have a new season of this show... just one more season.
But, that man is dead he is no more...(=Harvey Birdman died in the last episode)
HEY if we can have Phoenix Person then we can have a harvey birdman resurrection
RotatingMagnetGuy Agreed
They can just replace him with Space Ghost.
They're finally bringing it back
Hmm.....I don't remember 2002 being futuristic.
In the actual Jetsons the year was 2062
It was you didn't get the punch card?
How could you forget the technological marvel that was hit-clips! These micro chips could store a 60 second lo fi sample of a song!
@@ColtComanche 2002 or 2062, it'll still be bullshit.
I knew that scene of the Jetsons crawling helplessly to a desk wasn't a dream
At this point, 2002 is far off, and more magnificent than right now.
Ain't that the truth 😒
Not as weird as 2015. That Jaws film was pretty impressive though.
Happy 2022.
I love how their daughter just dies on the journey to the desk and is never seen again.
I heard they could not get the voice of Judy so they just killed her off in the beginning of the episode.

Sadly, instead of that, Birdgirl gets an SJW spinoff... with none of the other characters around.
This whole episode is just the first "Calender Joke" repeated over and over...If you think about it. Brilliant =)
Theres an atrophy joke in there too before this scene lol
Man... the year 2002 went through a really weird phase, just like the 1970's when they were in their Disco phase.
They grow up so fast. :)
George: The magnificent far off year 2002
Birdman: (sees 2004 on calendar) really 😒
I love the confusion when he sees the punch cards.
I'd look at him like "....those are from the 60's."
This is one of my favorite Harvey Birdman episodes.
its crazy how my animation teacher got to work on this
It's funny cause the Jetsons takes place in 2062
0:12 Very strong tell that tom kenny did the voice of elroy.
"Who's feeling Peanutty?"

"We come from the future. Frok 2002"
Birdman: *looks at calender it reads 2004* uh... Ok...

I swear the calendar joke gets funnier every year.
Who's feeling P-nutty?
Elroy has 3 degree burns in his lips because of the coffee at 0:29
I don't think I'd be able to stop myself from strangling George Jetson if he spoke to me in such a patronizing way.
There's a Sprocket right behind Harvey.
I love how the coffee is too hot for Elroy to gulp down, but he does anyway, undeterred.
He then has blisters on his mouth.
what thirst can force a person to do
The fact that a ten-year-old child is drinking coffee is greatly overlooked.
Then again, I guess that could be part of the joke.
@@thepeternetwork I drank coffee at 10. Albeit, it was mocha java. But I digress.
@@TennantJunkie1993 The only other excuse I can come up with regarding coffee consumption by ten year olds is that their collective intelligence is greater than those of their ancestors, and it requires a distinct level of caffeine to maintain that level of intelligence. Think of it as taking calculus by a fifth grade learning level.
When the mom was eating his tie, I thought she was licking his chest XD
So did I
I thought Jane was just licking the doughnut or bagel crumbs off Birdman's shirt.
The thing about these short videos is that the ads are so long and numerous on RUclips now that the ads have a longer runtime than the content.

In canon the Jetsons are living in 2062. So I guess a war so catastrophic broke out the new calendar year was set back 60 years.
Elroy really sounds like SpongeBob. Is it Tom Kenny?
Yes, he vid more voices on this episode than just Elroy
0:40
We live in a society
2002
(2004) really
Now we are like Birdman 2004
(2022) really
This episode is nearly 20 years old, and it gets funnier the more time passes.
Every year this gets even funnier XD
0:35 My guess is that these Jetsons came from another universe, and somehow ended up in Harvey Birdman's universe for no apparent reason.
Of course, in OG Jetsons, the timeline takes place in 2060s.
Maybe it’s like in the Family Guy special ‘Road to the Multiverse’ where in one universe there was no Christianity, so there were no Dark Ages repressing science so humanity advanced a thousand years and therefore the Jetsons’ society could exist in the 2000s.
@Tin Watchman this or there from reality where got advanced in 70 which why their reality future is way different from our reality cause in their reality there futuristic happens 2002 while happen 2022 which there timeline is way different from our reality this love science so infinite possible
@@robbieking4070 Well then this atheistic society massively stagnated if a 1000 year headstart only brought the Jetsons less than 100 years ahead
The Jetsons are definitly from california...
Oh god, that calender bit cracks me up every time I see it.

Elroy: Yeah, the 21st century.
George: The magnificent, far-off year of 2002.

@@andrewcarlson3486YES TALKING APE MAN
I find it strange that a hawkman type character is hanging out with Barbara characters.
I love how they are all cartoons.
The 2002 joke gets funnier every year.
They edited out the part where the family first walks in, Judy Jetson passes out from the exhaustion of walking, Peter Potamus comes in, grabs her, and leaves with her. Was that too racy for RUclips?
Can't believe I was born in the future.
Judy is not here because a tall, dark and mysterious xenomorph pierced her face
Can’t wait for 2002, sounds magnificent
I lost my shit when I saw this episode.
oh old sci fi you had such high hopes for us
Its back to the future showing what 2015 would be like what a fucking let down
0:38 Just noticed this, but you can tell George's lines are slowed down slightly, like it was a quick job in Audacity. I wonder why that is.
I always lose it when he looks at the calender
I guess theres different continuity or retcons or anything for what year Jetsons timeline takes place
Oh man she slammed him on the table for the coffee lol 😆😂🤣😄
This is the actual plot of Tenet.
Tenet was so damn confusing to follow
i literally think about the calendar joke all the time
The atrophy part before this is hilarious too lmao

The real ones saw the 2004 calendar joke when it was still really 2004
Absolute classic.
There's been a lot of Harvey Birdman being posted recently...please TELL ME ITS COMING BACK!
Odd thing is that Jetsons are capable of walking.
It's insane this episode is now 20 years old and 2002 was 22 years ago. Ugh depressing
1:11 I'LL TAKE THE CASE!!!!!!
please show us the "white fish" one lol
Elroy sounds a lot like spongebob lol. Then again, same voice actor. Tom Kenny, that is.
This is hilarious lol
This the new one
I feel displaced from time twice
Jane Jetson crawling up your chest whilst devouring your necktie was definitely on someone’s cartoon fantasy list. 😮
George Jetson was born this year I wonder if there will be any new jetson
The jetsons was suppose to be the 2060s not 2000s
Here from the year 2022 of the second darkest timeline.
i wish their was still a jetsons and Filstones cartoon Hanna-Barbera is all but dead now since Warner Brothers bought them
Well, The Great Gazoo kind of blended technology with the stone age.
I mean those shows aired in the 60s. All good things have to come to an end. Spongebob has become one of the longest running cartoons of all time. It hasn’t been good in the past ten years. Look at all the crappy reboots and so called revivals from a creatively dead Hollywood. Be happy that WB is just making references and rerunning episodes instead of milking them dry and ruining them.
@@vullord666 so do you know how many old school cartoons get remade alot and WB are just sitting on a gold mine of Cartoon that they could make again and make money of
You do know that you can watch The Flintstones on MeTV, right? I prefer The Jetsons myself, but you take what you can get.
