I just got my first archery Mule Deer here in my home state of Nevada. Ran the dialed sight and I love it. Took a 55 yard shot, and got him right through the heart. Seems like a lot of people sh*t on it, but its been good to me. However, this sight looks incredible!
I love a lot of the features of the UV slider and thought they put into it to make a simple and user friendly site. The price is what kills it for me. There are so many other options out there that are considerably cheaper and work just as well in my opinion.
It’s a dirty job but someone has got to do it.. I’m glad to see the innovation.. it will continue to push other archery companies to innovate.. it’ll be interesting to see how durability holds up over time.. thanks for hanging out ✊
Great video Tim. As someone who plunked down cash on an dialed sight and is somewhat hesitant about gen 1 products, I look forward to hearing what others think as they get out into the field. Cheers.
What I'd love to see is a set of aluminium etched site tapes rather than paper tapes. Given the premium price point this seems like a reasonable thing. I'm not a fan of horizontal pins, so a vertical 3 pin option would be ideal. Probably very tricky to engineer to the same level of adjustment though.
Looks like a great sight. Maybe on a competition 3d rig that sight would be right at home. I don't think I would want to bring a $600 sight into the woods in a high adrenaline situation like hunting. Who am I kidding... unfortunately $600 puts this sight well out of my price range. I'm still shooting my VXR 31.5 with Black Gold Ascent Verdict... prior to investing in that bow, I ran a Hoyt Intruder (circa 2002???) with a Pine Ridge Walmart Special 5 pin... it took me 2 years of hard saving when I decided to upgrade. I appreciate the video, Tim. Your humility gives you a genuinely trustworthy disposition. You come across as believable, and relatable. It was great to get to drool over a sight I'll probably never afford. As always, great content my friend. I pray success into your channel. I live in Port Orchard, WA. I would love to see you hit that 100k and shoot with you.
@@TimConnor13Tim what is the best side mount for the uv slider I’m about to order one just wanna know which one I should use mostly hunt Rocky Mountain muleys and elk get back to me when ya can
I bought an HHA king pin slider with a 3 pin head and another HHA sight with a single pin and lens for around the cost of this. I swap heads whenever I want to switch it up. I shoot three different arrows, so I have three different wheels for it, whenever I want to switch arrows, I just switch the wheel. There is no way this expensive UV site can come close to versatility I have in my HHA.
Lmfao there’s no way you have researched or used one then. Uv sights don’t need to be removed to change cartridges….. the sight tape rail is removable, reversible, and it comes with an extra so the ability to have four sight tapes ready to go… therefor just as versatile, you’re a moron
Can you buy the housing just by itself for the 3v. That would be awesome i was considering the Trek 3V but saw couple issues other have experienced, that have me questioning it now
I am ruining the Redline Torch sight. So far it is a great sight. Running it in a Mathews Phase 4 bridge lock setup. It comes with aluminum tapes and paper for the 2 different locations. I believe it meets the challenge you mention of a manufacturer producing one with a lot of features at the mid price point. It is $300 and includes the rail. Has an integrated light that is rechargeable with 4 brightness settings. So far it is a solid sight.
The sight is clean, just worry UV is pushing up the price of the market. Probably all top manufacturers are going to be over 500 on the new sights now. New bows went from 1200 to 1500 and sights from 200-300 are going to be 500-600 now.
I don't think UV is pushing the price up. To me I don't like it as I'm strictly hunting with my sight and would prefer an Option archery Canyon pounder probably before the UV.
The deer can hear the wratchet sound at 40 yards. Being silent is deadly. I chose the Ultraview UV3 slider XL because you can take it off when it rains because I shoot with lenses. For me it was worth the money.

The bottom line is it’s only two adjustable pins and the other ones are whatever they land on, very week design, 5 pin adjustable western big game or you should move to the East Coast and shoot whitetails and I stand in
I don’t understand your complaint. You sight in thirty with the fixed pin. Move top and bottom to 20 and 40 respectively. Then use the sight tape/ slider to shoot past that.
That's a lot of "laying in the mud" to pay for that sight. Great job putting the sight together without using the directions and I am glad to hear that your shooting is at a high level. You have put in the work.
I just dropped $600 for an Option canyon pounder. Unlike the UV slider, it really is innovative and built like a tank. I don't think there's a better hunting sight made.
Looks like a really nice sight but that price... that's insane. I don't see anything that would make me move away from my HHA Ryz. I love UV's stuff but OH BOY do they want a lot for it. They've managed to make the Arxos seem "economical" by comparison and there's things about the Arxos I MUCH prefer over the UV heads and sight (like the large pin-gap and option of a vertical 3-pin).
Ordered the UV slider, by chance is there a zero stop for the 20-40 yds? I know the 30 pin is fixed. so is there a scope adjustment for it or do you need to use the wheel to bring it up and down?
You forget about patents so many things can’t be added. Remember all other sights at that price don’t have scope or light on them, so the UV Slider is a killer deal.
It’s a really nice site, but for the price it’s missing a few things such as windage indicators. Chris Bee has mentioned they’re adding those onto them, but when? How do you make sure you’re not going to get stuck with one that doesn’t have them, especially given that they’re already sold out everywhere so you’d basically be ordering one blindly not even knowing when you’re going to get it.

Surprised to hear a channel actually say “If like to see a bare bones version, one that’s half the price”. Great products. Unfortunately, the customer service is awful. Text or call, and no response. A large AZ group switched from their products for this reason.
The problem I see is once they get all the feedback they need to make another sight that is upgraded the price is gonna be even higher than the already rather steep price
Great sight, but not worth the money. Other sight brands are making a product that does everything UV’s does for 300-400. UV’s does a great job with the aesthetics and packaging of their product, but that’s not worth an extra $200 for me.
For $600 you get to be VERY picky! I am sure the profit margins are huge on all of their products. I think they are now all about minimizing cost of manufacturing and maximizing for profit, that is capitalize. I liked the old UV1 with the swirl in the scope that was cool! I think they need to go back to their roots and get that cool factor back.
The UV Slider is a very nice sight. Its well built with some nice features like being able to easily remove the housing for traveling. There are some states dont allow electronics mounted to your bow, you're in luck (sort of) with this sight as you can remove the light cartridge from the sight making it legal. HOWEVER, the fiber optics on this sight are TERRIBLE and these pins do not illuminate in low light or cloud cover. I just got back from a S.E. Oregon hunt where we had cloud cover on two of the days and the pins were extremely dim. You're pretty much lining up black dots on your target. With that being said, I live in AZ where I do most of my hunting so its non issue for me. But, if you do most of your hunting in one of the states that dont allow electronics dont buy this sight. You will be very frustrated. The fiber optics on this sight are installed on a removable cartridge so I bet Ultra View will address the issue and come out with new cartridge with a better fiber optics design. At least I hope they will.
This thing looks awesome. People are complaining about the cost, but this is the most compact, full feature sight available. My only complaint would be, for $600, the pins should be micro adjust. Other than that, it looks amazing.
Def not worth 600$!!! Too many other good options out there with scopes, a lens and more adjustability. I’ve been a UV fan from the get go starting with their 3-D printed funky fingers and knobs; I just can’t justify paying 50% more for what you can buy an equal or better product. 🤷🏽♂️
yea for 600 no thx my spot hogg works fine the site does look good im sure there will be some for sale used pretty soon plus I can see how they hold up on others bows for free
I disagree with you on having a dumbed down version of this site. This site is what will push manufacturers to do better. There’s no reason to make a cheaper version that isn’t as good as this one, that’s what sets UV apart. I can’t afford it, it would cost me more than my bow… but if I could I’d be getting it.
Fuse archery just quit making their Flywheel sights. 250$ and the only things it can't do compared to this is swap tapes, no picatinny mount, and only .019 pins. I'm having a hard time justifying swapping it out
Buy an affordable archery sight & give the extra money to charity. I'm not saying this sight isn't worth $600. It just doesn't offer any features I want in a hunting sight (other than I like a level on my sight).
I don't see any 'boundary' the UV Slider pushed other than cost. The 3 pin UV is not as good as HHA 4 pin (I don't like the immobile middle pin), and HHA's tapes and wheels (removal) are better than UV. Without owning one or seeing it in person (which I don't think really matters since I have a UV3XL and I can see the features on video), I rate the innovation a B-.

I’m glad they came out with this product….. but, as you said, the PRICE. No way will I consider it for that price
Great sight, but not worth the money. Other sight brands are making a product that does everything UV’s does for 300-400. UV’s does a great job with the aesthetics and packaging of their product, but that’s not worth an extra $200 for me.
Spot hogs for example
Eh, I don’t agree my guy. The case alone has to be worth $50 for storage right? Spot Hogg doesn’t have a good case.
@@SomeGuyFromOK my point is that I don’t at all value the aesthetics of the case
@@SomeGuyFromOKscrew that case man
Haven’t had to adjust your 3rd axis cause you aren’t shooting at enough angle
For $600 you get to be VERY picky! I am sure the profit margins are huge on all of their products. I think they are now all about minimizing cost of manufacturing and maximizing for profit, that is capitalize. I liked the old UV1 with the swirl in the scope that was cool! I think they need to go back to their roots and get that cool factor back.
Still missing bullseye with UV
Turns out I am not perfect

Thanks neff 🙏
This thing looks awesome. People are complaining about the cost, but this is the most compact, full feature sight available. My only complaint would be, for $600, the pins should be micro adjust. Other than that, it looks amazing.
Yeah at the upper tier price points theres always going to be some backlash.. but for a gen 1 product they did a really good job
You and elkshape been dropping a lot of similar content.
What is the purpose of a slider sight that’s multi pin ? So I am guessing you just set the first 3 pins 20/30/40 and then the bottom pin is a rover ?
Idk why everyone acts like $600 is so much:. Every other comparable complete sight kit is in the same ballpark
Def not worth 600$!!! Too many other good options out there with scopes, a lens and more adjustability.
I’ve been a UV fan from the get go starting with their 3-D printed funky fingers and knobs; I just can’t justify paying 50% more for what you can buy an equal or better product. 🤷🏽♂️
Please show me a comparable option with all the same features for half the price…. Oh you can’t that’s right just talking out your ass
20K!!!!!!
Let’s get it dude !
That more that I paid for a new two year old flagship bow.
yea for 600 no thx my spot hogg works fine the site does look good im sure there will be some for sale used pretty soon plus I can see how they hold up on others bows for free
Just cause it cost 600$ doesn’t put it in the best category it’s only getting so many looks is because Chris bee
That’s not true.. you should get your hands on one before you judge it
You're talking about one of his fellow influencers now, you better watch out 😂
$600 hard pass...its just a sight
Price is the a major down fall damn that is high
I'd never buy it at that price.
Want a bare bones sight without the features for half price, but could add mico clicks please for each pin … 😂
