I love your videos. I am new to archery and pretty stoked about it. ( I’m starting late.. 53 years old) I bought the Hoyt Alpha X 30. I picked up a UV release and I’m getting used to it and liking it. (I’m contemplating getting the UV slider site.) I do realise this is more than I’ll ever need since I don’t hunt and I only shoot in my own yard for the most part. It looks like something will not outgrow. Unfortunately, we don’t have any archery stores, aside from larger franchises like Bass Pro, anywhere in my area. In order for me to go to someplace that can help me set up my bow and get me rolling I have to go an hour to an hour and a half drive. Have you ever thought about moving to Hampshire? Anyhow, I’m rambling. I like your videos. I like your content that teaches people how to do things I want to be able to set up and tune my own bow. You are helping me get there, thank you 🙏 (oh, and if you have a giveaway for that site, I will resubscribe and like and click whatever I need to!!)

Can’t speak to the US pricing, but in Aus, a Landslyde or HHA with a UV XL3 is knocking on $900-$1000. Aus retail for this sight looks to be the same, so I’m keen on picking one up when they eventually come down under
Expensive? Yes! But I don’t think it’s that expensive compared to say a axcel landslide and the ultraview scope combo after you purchase both. I believe I am at or over $500 with my sight. In general archery equipment is getting really expensive anyway. The damn bows are $1200- $2000 now.
As you said, you give very honest reviews and I watched a fair swagger of them. As I just a few days ago said ‘fuk it’ and ordered one, I was pretty chuffed to wander over here to your channel and see this review. This product just makes so much sense where everything else seems to be a total ball-ache… Nice job. Many thanks from Aus-tray-lee-ah.
Everybody keeps harping on the price, but it's technically on par with the rest of the market in that niche. This thing is a target sight pretending to be a hunting sight. Put an Accustat on an Axcel Achieve XP and you'd be in the same price range. Dialed Archery is in trouble, though.
For me the killer is they do not offer this in a direct/standard mount. Whether your bow doesn't have the Bridgelock or Pic mount, or you are not a fan of dovetail mounts for hunting.... Other than that, it looks like an awesome sight!
@@98blower17 Pointless? this is your opinion. FYI, there are more direct mount sights sold annually than dovetail, bridgelock, and picatinny. 😉 Just as I noted, "for me the killer...", not for everyone. 😄 I do not like or trust a dovetail style sight on my hunting bow. When I get out west, I prepare to be in the backcountry for 15 days (hoping not that long) and try to mitigate as many SPFs as possible. Hell, my backup rest is a whisker biscuit. lol This is my approach to managing risk, it works for me, and it's not for everybody.
99.9 percent of the people buying a sight at THIS price would throw rocks if it DIDNT have a dovetail. You say more people shoot a direct mount which is true bc that’s including the guys shooting a 99$ basic sight. Anyone and everyone who’s buying this particular sight wants a dovetail. You may the the only one on earth not.
At $600, I'll have to pass on it for now. Not saying I won't buy it, but I'll have to upgrade bows first. That sight on my $500 bow isn't something I can justify. Maybe when I get a decent flagship bow I'll look into a sight of this caliber.
I bought one, but haven’t set it up since I’m waiting for my bow to come in. My question though, is it worth it if all I’m going is stand hunting and target shooting in my back yard? It looks awesome, but I feel like I’m spending a lot of money for features I won’t use.
Pin brightness is sub par for a western hunter on the UV3XL in a state where lighted pins are not legal. Bear hunting dark timber, still legal shooting light I cannot see my pins. HHA pins are still visible in same situation.
probably the best placed locking mech since it puts your fingers in the same position on the wheel. I don't understand why companies put theirs a mile away, or in a place with less access.
Can we get an update on this? Has it started to vibrate loose on you at all? Also I would like to know what your favorite sight is. I don’t want to buy multiple sights. I just want to buy the only sight I’ll ever want and need.
How do you think this stacks up to the black gold duel track? Features look nice but the lack of vertical and micro adjustable pins seems better on the BG. Also, I might be missing something but how do you use the lowest pin if it doesn’t have an indicator on the site tape?
there's a indicator included in the case that you install easily. They shipped it out this way because there's a crucial point - for the 4th indicator to match up you have to center the bottom pin in your peep instead of centering the housing, so they have that info in there with the install video so people don't miss it
I understand you set this up with the not movable middle pin. So no deadstop at 20, does that just mean if turn until the stop that your top pin may just be on another yardage depending on your bow speed? I'm lost haha thanks.
HHA Tetra Tournament is nearly the exact same thing, with the huge advantage that you can swap sight tape/rings on the HHA in seconds, for different arrow setups.
Only thing I don’t like about this: Price (cost as much as my bow, but as much as any top sight and rail on the market so it’s not priced too bad, just out of my range atm). My main issue though is that it has no windage markings at all on it. Why? For $600 it should have indentations for the windage adjustments. That part makes NO sense to me.
What will people do when they still miss? Maybe, eventually, people will realize they're human and all the fancy, pricy stuff won't change that. It's a great sight no doubt but I'll stick with practicing my form.
@@douglasvaughn9530 Not my point. Some, not all, blame the equipment for missing the target. So, they buy more expensive accessories thinking it will fix it. Buy whatever floats your boat.
If a high end spot hogg is $400+, and this is dramatically "better", a couple hundred dollars more is easy to swallow. Again, if it is dramatically better and holds up well.
I think if they got rid of all those fancy cases and all the high-end advertising and content creations, they could probably come down about $200 per unit ??? I know eye appeal is what sales but a unique sight like that will sell itself.

When it's crunch time, I don't want to be guessing where my sight should be set. If a buck of the lifetime is coming in, I want to be pulled back & ready. I don't want to be messing around with some fancy sight. Could I lock the pins at 20, 30, & 40 yards & never touch them? Sure, but any horizontal multiple pin sight can do that. Lately, I've given up on pins all together, & I don't see myself going back. I never touch my sight or a rangefinder all summer during practice. I judge my arrow groups taking shots at various unknown distances using the EZ-V. It's made practice fun. Whether the shot is taken at 15 yards or 30 yards after pulling back, I want to be ready. Hitting the broadside of a barn @ 100 yards is not important to me. If my sight can't withstand travel on my bow, I would buy something else. Its not every day you hear MFJJ be as impressed with a product as he is here.
That’s why I just got 10x more excited for mine to come in 😂
Kind of mind-blowing how simple it is, yet covers EVERYTHING! 😳
Love the sight. Just wish it had 3 or 4 vertical inline pins versus the stacked pins it comes with. Other than that, I want one!
You can put the vertical double pin cartridge in
Still needs a movable zero stop and metal sight tapes. Add those features and it’s PERFECT
Definitely wouldn’t give up my landslyde for this

Please do a review after a few months of use. Pretty please. Curious to see how the bolts hold in place
I was dialed in at 20 yards in like 3 shots. Pretty incredible.
This seems like the most efficient setup for a three-pin site that I've seen yet
Ive been using the trophy ridge Hotpoint. 2 fixed n one slider. For the price it's not bad option.
