That last group was the best I've seen on your channel and I'm comparing that to your groups at 50 in the past. It's pretty clear how far you've come as a target archer and that elite is treating you very well!
Tim, the first thing I did with these elite bows (omnia and ethos) was put a stealth strip on the draw stops to eliminate that noise when the stops hit. Then I put string wax on the back of the mods and put them back on because occasionally these bows will do that thing that some pse bows do where it makes a random pop noise at the shot even though everything is tight. The wax fills any space that could be in there and fixes the issue. I do recommend using blue loctite if any of your screws are getting loose. The only negative I have on these bows is the hardware is not as good as some other brands...(like bowtech) I've stripped a few screws. I called elite and told them and they shipped me an extra set of every screw for both bows, free of charge. Lastly...I don't find the smooth mods change the feel of the bow very drastically (at 29.5), it just made it feel like less poundage. It went from feeling like 70 to 65, with only a loss of 3-5 fps instead of the 10 you would lose by actually setting it 5 lbs less. Great video! Sorry for the extended comment.
I also use the Hamskea raptor peep. I recently started tying my peep in with half hitch knots equally on all 4 sides of the peep. This helped in keeping my peep square to my sight housing while at full draw. I was constantly fighting peep twist with the conventional method, which was causing left and right misses.
I love my Ethos. It is an awesome bow. I know one pro archer that shot a 900 in Vegas this year with the Ethos. The draw stop and draw lenght module screws loosened up on mine during set up/paper tuning, but that was on me. I tightened them up more and have not had them loosen again. I do check them periodically to make sure they are tight. The one weird thing for me is that I can see one of the cables in my sight picture. I have basically mentally tuned that out and don't notice it anymore. Good luck at TAC and enjoy your Ethos!!!
Saw you cruising around BigSky. No bow in hand only camera, you looked like you were on a mission haha. Just wanted to say it's cool seeing someone give Elite an honest review and try them out. I'm really enjoying mine but not many people giving them love.
I own the Omnia and Kairos, both have the same draw stops and they have never moved. I always go through my bows and make sure the screws are good and tight when the bows are new. Love my Elite bows. They can't be touched in the speed to feel or adjustability. The best grip in the game imo.
Ran the ethos through some shots at the shop the other day, its definitely top of the list for upgrade time. String angle, draw, adjustability, cable and limb stop options, multiple stab mounting options and the set technologie as well as adjustable roller guard.
I feel the same way about my Era. I’ve owned a lot of hunting bows over the years, and I can’t remember one as good as the Era. It flat out shoots for me. Rumor has it Elite will be dropping a 34” Carbon bow this year, if that’s the case, I’m all in!!!
The reason for the brace height speed difference is the same difference between long draw and short draw. Think about it like the total distance from your anchor to the grip. The brace height is the stop distance from your grip to the BH. If you shorten the brace you increase string travel, or increase the total draw length you also increase string travel, more strong travel = more speed. Inversely, if you increase BH, or decrease draw length, you shorten string travel, which equals less speed. As a 27.5 inch draw this is my plight, short aggressive BH for speed, or comfort lol
Glad the bows working for you. Definitely looks more stable compared to other stuff I've seen you shoot. Have you tried pulling your side bar in closer? Wonder if your slight wiggle is being amplified by it. Keep the content coming, best produced archery content on youtube.
If you set the stix further back toward the cam and use the front rod as the third balance point it will keep you off the cam, spread them as far as possible to give the most stable balance.
I'd love to see a face off between the ethos, exalt and the bowtech ss34. I know the ss34 is a couple years old but it's a great bow and I think it would compete really well against those other bows.
Love seeing the content ! I do have a question though. Is there a reason why you have your UV slider positioned all the way forward instead of pushed back towards the rest ?! Thanks in advance

1st time I shot an elite I bought it that day elite pulse 308 fps crazy fast that’s at 28 draw length until this year I haven’t shot bow that I wanted to buy that was better feeling to me.
