If you're interested in a 1-on-1 teambuilding session with me or teamfixing, join the channel!: ruclips.net/channel/UCzelFwDFy5eok8e_Gc6gZ6wjoin Tier 2 - $4.99: With this tier, you get everything from tier 1, as well as the option to ask for "TeamFixing." Here, you can submit a team to me via message/DM on discord, and I can fix the EV spreads or recommend Pokemon for what's optimal for the format at the moment. You can also receive a member-only video where I fully explain how I fix the team, but if you'd like to just do this part via discord call, this is fine. Tier 3 -$9.99: Here we can BUILD a team from scratch rather than simply fix a squad. This can be done via discord call, as well as a dedicated member-only video for it.
Very interesting and I agree on a lot of things! Cool to know I wasn't the only one using Sub Flutter for Trick Room back in Reg C Flutter and Urshifu id argue are on the same pedestal, if not it taking the #1 spot. Critting along with ignoring protect is just so stupid, not to mention breaking the sash and amazing synergy with other very good pokemon (Tornadus, Chien Pao, Amoongus). Definitely agree with Tornadus and Chien Pao, Prankster Tailwind and Rain Dance is just so good at enabling Urshifu while also enabling itself with bleakwind storm. The speed control and 101% acc 100 BP spread move is really strong, not to mention it's coming from an iron bundle attack stat. Chien Pao takes advantage of the genies suceeding, a lot of the teams rn stack their ice weaknesses and because it already enables some of the strongest attackers in the game like Urshifu and Dragonite makes it super strong. Urshifu might be annoying because of the sash break but 12/4 makes Mystic Water a 6% chance to kill (because of the weird crit stuff you have to invest 60 EVs, there are bumps with Urshifu and the next one guaranteeing the live is 4/76, not worth it imo). It's interesting to see Ice Shard used, I personally Prefer Crunch to quickly delete InDD for your partner and pressure Cresselia, having a dark stab that's reliable unlike Sucker punch is just so nice if you have a H-Goodra matchup. I would try and make this same excuse for Bundle hitting literally everything for super effective, main issue with it is that it has 2 unreliable STABs being 80% accuracy or 70 Base Power. We're so power spoiled in such a HO meta which is just enough to kick it out of Top 10 Landorus we don't need to say much about, Intimidate, Pivot and a big counter vs Heatran. A big threat on the field and we have the funny calc 252 SpA Iron Bundle Freeze-Dry vs. 68 HP / 236 SpD Assault Vest Landorus-Therian: 144-172 (83.2 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO Amoongus feels a bit underrated here, sleep + redirection + healing is just so so good, very strong in the balance stuff with regenerator and can enable some of the set up pokemon with rage powder. Flutter Mane and Urshifu don't appreciate being redirected into it, especially the rocky helmet mainly because theyre frail and one turn is enough to break through. Being able to redirect ice spinner if Tera Water along with making Sucker Punch fail is also really good right now. I do understand it's flaws though, being not a fan of Tornadus and their taunts as well as being forced to tera vs a lot of things. Iron Hands is a bit harder to play this Reg, Rillaboom is just a tiny bit better right now, faster fake out is super crucial even if you take out the bulk, grassy terrain negates a bit of that anyway. Also the damage is insane, Iron Hands has to rely on Wild Charge or Thunder Punch for STAB but Wood Hammer becomes like 160 BP and 2HKOs Tornadus even if it's a resist. Dragonite and Cress are indeed very good, I think they could be switched but that's minor and I have them roughly the same level. Outrage ohkoing something like Goodra-H is just so good. I do definitely prefer inner focus on Choice Band because of the fake out stuff Ursaluna still feels very overrated imo. It seems solid in theory but it takes so much support and isn't really splashable unlike Heatran and Rillaboom who can be very strong in the Balance and Tailwind teams. We see how much usage it has (Top 5 last week, Top 10 this week) but it can't break a lot of top cuts. If your TR is countered, such as by Taunt, spore, Imprison or outright being k.od you struggle to really do anything because of the typing and being very vulnerable to double ups (a teammate like Cress can be ignored if you protected yourself from TR). It's absolutely top 20 but its just not as good as some of the other balance pokemon or the offensive powerhouses like Flutter-Yu which can use sunny day Tornadus. Getting walled by Heatran is eh but We see things like PaoNite not care about priority protection. Tera Ground Flutter feels underrated because of the perfect Fairy-Ground coverageand pressuring heatran into Tera leaves you in a very good position. Chi Yu just being the best partner for arguably the best pokemon in the format makes a better candidate for Top 10 imo Regardless, very good and respectable list, everything here is at minimum Top 20 and the ones people will mention are probably Top 20 too, just some minor changes which can Also depend on perception and preference. Great Video, keep the content up!
@albotsoowoo547 lmao sorry Basically; Flutter and Urshifu are debatable, I argue Urshifu being #1 instead Torn broken People are stacking ice weaknesses and Chien Pao victims Even though 5/6 of the balance teams and 4/6 of the HO ones are weak to Bundle, Bundle's STABs are unreliable despite being super effective and push it out of Top 10 Lando stupid good and lives Freeze Dry with AV Amoongus feels underestimated here, being so good vs a lot of stuff except prankster taunt which isn't as big of a flaw Iron Hands plays like a worse Rillaboom because of the damage (156 BP Wood Hammer vs 75 BP Thunder Punch or 90 BP Wild Charge) and much faster fake out. Cress and Dnite could be swapped simply because of the sheer damage output, Cress being harder to fit on a team and lacks a lot of presence Ursaluna doesn't Make it to Top 10, needs a lot of support and has some auto lose matchups, A lot of usage and on a lot of teams but barely makes Top cuts showing disappointing results. Heatran, Rillaboom/Hands, Urshifu-SS, Chi Yu etc have a lot of qualities that make them superior Clover is a W content creator
Thanks for watching, all! What did you think of our top 10 list? Do you agree with it? Disagree? and if so, who would you take off/put on? Let me know in the comments!
Amazing video so in depth! Very helpful as im trying to build a half TR half HO team with cress, glastrier, ursaluna, lando t, tornadus i, and urshifu water,
I want to put chi yu and eleki in here because they’ve been doing so well for me but at the same time I can’t exactly disagree with anything here lol. Maybe I’d put Rillaboom over Ursaluna but that’s about it. Is single strike Urshifu really that much worse than rapid strike that it’s not even top 10? On an off note, do you think there’s any reason to run Spectrier over Flutter and if so, what role it’d fill?
Single Strike Urshifu's main problem is that it's not Rapid Strike lol, you have to give it up, and it's just the better form. Outside of the better typing, since Urshifu single is walled by fairies and faces more dark type competition in Chien Pao. Tera Water is also a lot nicer as an offensive Tera than dark is. Urshifu-SS doesn't have as much synergy with Chien Pao due to the doubling up on types but also can't really scare away what scares Chien Pao. Being able to kill a Mon despite a Sash regardless of what happens is way stronger than not being as scared of rocky helmet. Aqua Jet is reliable priority to pick off low hp stuff, you maximise the use of unseen fist. Sucker Punch on the other hand, while stronger, will fail if the opponent clicks Protect defeating the purpose. Water is naturally excellent into the meta to a bigger extent than dark as a bonus. Urshifu-SS is still very very good, would be at minimum Top 20 because it's still busted and can fit nicely if you already had a water type (Palafin, Bundle, Basculegion, Gyarados etc) or if your team needed dark type coverage/a way to handle Dozo. Also I support Rillaboom and Chi Yu being a lot better than something like Ursa here, Chi Yu's offensive pressure is RIDICULOUS, especially paired with Flutter and Sunny day Tornadus
@@lovelyluna733 counterpoint: dark typing means single strike is inherently cooler and sucker punch is funni Seriously tho, sucks they nerfed wicked blow and not surging strikes. Almost feels like SS needed that extra BP to have a niche over RS
@CloverBells Oh, strictly VGC? Wow. Welp, thought I'd ask, since you clearly kno what you're doing and it's really difficult to find good BSS channels. Okay. Understood then. I can respect that.
Surprised to see Lando so high up, it has felt incredibly mid. It could be because I'm mostly running pao nite + 1or that the meta is very fast so far with so many ways to block intimidate. It used to be great to slow down the pace and get momentum, but you ain't slowing down inner focus nite with a very threatening pao at its side, nor are you really doing anything against shifu since he's mostly clicking surging strikes anyway. God forbid you try and slow down tera fairied up flutter. I'm sure that when more players get their hands on the format when world championship's going to be closer the meta will get slower and maybe Lando will feel better, but to be honest, as of the 29th of June, I don't feel like Lando is in the top 5 mons of the format.
It's an excellent mon thanks to tera and the pivot U turn! Has good tournament results and relatively easy to use. Yes it's weak to chien pao and urshifu but you can play around those. This is also why tera water has been used with good success. I like it best on those slower bulkier teams
Nah it's not nearly as splashable as all of these options. These are all the S tier options with maybe the Ursaluna being the odd one out. The sneasler needs to have the unburden ability going for the speed tier which means it's more dependent on an item and terrain user depending on what seed you give it (Rillaboom/Indeedee). The others on this list can function fine on their own.
Idk find it hard to consider it top 10 or even 20 when we have Flutter/Urshifu/Torn/Pao/Lando/Amoonguss/Cresselia/Hands/Dragonite/Heatran/Ursaluna from the video and also the shoutouts like Rillaboom, Chi Yu, Thundurus, Regieleki/Iron Bundle, Urshifu Single Strike, Zapdos, Goltress, Palafin, Enamorus etc
