Been riding a Magic Carpet as my main board for the last few years. Great in pow and works for me as an all mountain board. Does take a little getting used but a great pow focused all rounder.
Love my Magic Carpet, only got on it a few times at the end of last season so far but it handled deep heavy pow days at Whistler with ease, I couldn't believe a twin could float so well! Stoked to get on it more in all conditions and try some park
@@mountainshenaniganz9393 I never found speed a problem in pow. The 3bt and width help it float and keep it speedy. On groomers it may not be quite as fast as say, the carbon infused sintered base of my k2 boards (Manifest Team and Excavator, which are stiffer freeride chargers). But it's not night and day, you can still get good speed. Bataleon says it isn't just a regular extruded base. "Not a basic extruded base. It has the highest molecular content available for an extruded base. That means it’s super slick, durable and maintenance-free."
Idk if you’ve already done a video like this, but a tier list of places you’ve been to snowboard, I think would great. Maybe broken down by country. Love your videos
i got a rocker twin board and i used to have a pow board but i decided to try that board with rocker camber and put my binding farther back and i prefer it
Have my eyes on the SB Powder Twin since your review on it, and really on the edge of pulling the trigger, the graphics is so sick. But I can't decide to the length, I am similar weight and height to you (155lbs, 5'9''), with 10.5 boots, do you have recommend 153 or 156?
Just Bought the Jones mind expander twin. It will definitely fill that gap in my quiver. Just in time for our trip to Breck in February to. 😜 Besides…i already had the OG mind expander….😏
Man these are all huge lengths i really wish they had boards in 140-149 i'd love to ride 145-148 of these boards. The only one I know of so far is the lib tech orca that runs that size. Any others?
What size of mind expander twin would be better for boot size US9, weight 85-90kg, height 177cm. I took 158 because of weight (154 is more for 75-78kg) however it wider than 154 26.5 versus 26cm. So I’m a little bit confused if It wold be harder to control. What is more critical here overweight in 154 or wider profile with us9 boots in 158?
I tried the Mind Expander twin in 154 and I didn't like it. I don't like the Jones in general and I don't know why because they are really good boards. But I've had a Nitro Überspoon for 3 seasons (the 3d it finally died), and it's a stiffer previous version of the Santoku. Although at first it was too stiff for me, once I broke it a bit, it was amazing. I haven't tried the Santoku but it's on my list. Also, I really want to try the Magic Carpet, but in 151. I bought a 156 bottle rocket, which is the same concept and more or less same waist witdth, and it's too wide for me. Thank god the price was ridiculous, 120 bucks lol.
most of these are above average width. Check out the Spring Break Powder Twin. You could also look at the Bataleon Party Wave or PW+ they are very wide but they are directional. Fun boards though

Any issues with speed from the extruded base?
I’m not even shopping for a deck this season, I just like acquiring the knowledge loll. Thanks boys
Love the #Bataleon Magic Carpet, but that Jones ME Twin though...WOW!!!!

Was the Extruded base an issue with speed at all?

i got a rocker twin board and i used to have a pow board but i decided to try that board with rocker camber and put my binding farther back and i prefer it
The spring break seems nice! I have a slush slasher and it’s a really good board, so i might spend some money soon..

Love my magic carpet too. Ride twin pig didn't make the list this year? I just got it but didn't get the chance to try it out due to lockdowns.

Thanks
They pretty much feel the same
Love everything you do, I’d love to win this board!
Great video as always Tj
I want them all
Surely
How would you compare these powder twins to dedicated powder boards? Big gap or no?
Nice front 3 tail grab. 2:45
Which is softer, the ME Twin or Santoku?

Thanks
TJ was the extruded base on the bataleon MC an issue with speed?
Great video, ❤️
Aren't we forgetting Two noteworthy powder twins that saddly did not happen to make this list...
Nirav & Yanick.
Hey im looking for a powder twin but my problem is that my shoe size is 13 and there are none wide powder twins out there.

Hello
Have you tried the capita mega merc ?!
I don’t know much about snowboarding but I want to.
Damn I went with Ride twinpig over the spring break powder twin. Thought the wider platform on the twinpig would perform better. Rip
So far, are you satisfied with you decision?
@@filipvitek204 so far yes, it's an amazing fun board. It's so crazy wide but still quick edge to edge, haven't gotten it on pow yet
Yeeeww
The concept of a... powder twin ? Meh.
