It´s incredible to see how soon Wade hit his prime... I mean he was a superstar even in his rookie season. Having played for 2 years in college really helped him be more NBA-ready than his draft friends (lbj, Melo...) although he was the first to slow down and suffer several injuries later on.

I remember this game like it was just earlier this morning. I was hyped up with Melo and Lebron, but this guy was my favorite rookie. While watching that game, I was goin, "Man, this this dude doesn't play like a rookie!" He was light years ahead of his peers. Melo wasn't gunning like this during his 1st playoffs. From then on, I knew this dude was the real deal /GK

While they aren’t completely the same, I had to come and watch this to see if the comparisons to Donovan Mitchell make sense. And yea they really do. Rookie to peak wade was still a little faster (which is saying a lot) and utilized the mid range a lot more (different era so understandable) but they do similar things with very similar frames.
