Finding a place that's affordable that will rent to foreigners is going to be quite an adventure, lol! But, nothing worth anything is ever easy. 😊😊😊

Where are you located? That’s an excellent price for an apartment in Japan. My son is stationed in Japan lives off base in a house. His rent is around 1200 a month. It does have three bedrooms and a yard somewhat. I love how they keep the shower separate from the restroom. Good luck on your journey in Japan. I loved it when I visited. The food is awesome and the people are so nice. You’ll have a great time. Lots of beautiful things to see.
Yes I love that too. I was actually surprised when I went into the apartment, because in the layout they showed me online when I was still in Germany I think thought there were less windows. Thanks for watching

I am glad RUclips had this video in my feed! New sub! If I remember correctly, it is best to shower and then take a bath (if you want to take a bath). So that you are clean when you sit in water. That little nook near the kitchen would be a great place to put a desk and then you can look out the window while working!

Lots of buildings will not have a fourth floor or apartments that end in 4. It will skip from 103 to 105. Four is considered bad luck. The word four sounds the same as the word for death.

It is a fish grill, not really a gas oven in the sense that it gives direct flame. You could use it not only for fish but also for meat, vegetables or bead and you could find recipes in internet using that fish grill and you could buy cooking metal containers to put into that grill, cheap ones from NITORI or DAISO, fancy ones from internet or maybe decent department store’s kitchen floor. I recommend to get one since cleaning would be much easier than putting your food directly into the grill, especially when renting the property. Please be careful though for fire accidents, or foods’ overflowing (cleaning the grill would very hard), never take your eyes completely off from the grill, it is not as stable as gas oven😊 Enjoy Japan!

500 $ für alles inklusive Wasser, Strom, Internet, etc. bei der Größe kann man absolut nicht meckern. Die Fensterbänke sind schön groß, da könnte man schöne Pflanzen oder Kräuter zum Kochen hinstellen. Das Toilette und Bad getrennt sind ist in Japan vollkommen normal. Hast du vor dir ein Futon anzuschaffen oder besorgst du dir ein Schlafsofa oder so? Wenn du jeden Tag einkaufst reicht es auch, wenn du dir so einen ganz kleinen Kühlschrank besorgst. Frisch kochen ist eh am Besten. Und der kleine "Backofen" ist der Fischgrill. 😁
Ja bin auch froh über den Preis. Fensterbänke hab dich auch schon über Pflanzen nachgedacht gute Idee. Futon habe ich mittlerweile gekauft. Und wegen Grill, ja wurde mir schon von Klassenkameraden gesagt 😂😂😂 ich dachte da passt meine Pizza rein hahaha schade .

In meinen würde sogar so eine kleine Pizza (nicht die normale Größe) passen, auch wenn ich für hausgemachte Pizza eher meinen Mini-Backofen nutze. ^^

I'm sure in Japan you could find many inexpensive mini portable washing machines to choose from--to place in that floor sink. Hang laundry to dry on balcony. I could surely live in this apartment, easily. 👍🏻

It’s all in what each individual wants or is willing to give up, right? You could have a big closet and live in the U.K. or a big apartment and live in the U.S., or , a small apartment and closet, and live in a cool city in Japan. :) 🍜🥟🍢🍡⛩🏯🎆🗾
Sometimes you have to put your key into the switch at the door to turn on the whole apartment electricity. When you leave and take your key, the power is disconnected.
The apartment looks fantastic, I'm so envious! Even that view is really good. The little 'oven' is a 'fish grill', btw. Fairly common in Japan, from what I gather. I imagine you can heat anything you can fit into it, not just fish :P

Electricity doesn’t effect the toilet though.😄 But you do need water, to make it flush (if you didn’t have the water hooked up yet, in a pinch, you could just pour from a store-bought gallon jug into the toilet’s water tank and it would flush.🚽🧻
Eine schöne Wohnung! Ja das Problem mit dem Strom hatten wir auch am Anfang, da hatten die Vormieter den Strom im Sicherungskasten ausgemacht und vergessen, uns darüber zu informieren! 😅

The kitchen reminds me of the apartment we lived in, in Nurnberg Germany - it was 5th floor at the end of the hall. Lived there 8 months and got military quarters on Christmas Eve.

That "oven" is a grill where you can grill fish or other foods. It's like a toaster oven.

I'm sure in Japan you could find many inexpensive mini portable washing machines to choose from--to place in that floor sink. Hang laundry to dry on balcony. I could surely live in this apartment, easily. 👍🏻

Yeah that’s mainly because Fukuoka is cheaper then other cities and also with the weak yen the prices appear lower for foreigners.
The water heater and AC are usually on the balcony wall.
It's a closet in USA, a wardrobe in UK. Nice apartment. Enjoy .

It’s all in what each individual wants or is willing to give up, right? You could have a big closet and live in the U.K. or a big apartment and live in the U.S., or , a small apartment and closet, and live in a cool city in Japan. :) 🍜🥟🍢🍡⛩🏯🎆🗾
Sometimes you have to put your key into the switch at the door to turn on the whole apartment electricity. When you leave and take your key, the power is disconnected.
One that is interesting. In the end I found a switch in the bathroom to turn on electricity in the whole apartment

The little 'oven' is a 'fish grill', btw. Fairly common in Japan, from what I gather. I imagine you can heat anything you can fit into it, not just fish :P

Yes, I was just stupid, I just had to press a button to make it work in the apartment
Electricity doesn’t effect the toilet though.😄 But you do need water, to make it flush (if you didn’t have the water hooked up yet, in a pinch, you could just pour from a store-bought gallon jug into the toilet’s water tank and it would flush.🚽🧻

Eine schöne Wohnung! Ja das Problem mit dem Strom hatten wir auch am Anfang, da hatten die Vormieter den Strom im Sicherungskasten ausgemacht und vergessen, uns darüber zu informieren! 😅

Looks cool! I am not sure it would work for me , my bedroom is the same size as that apartment. I do wish you well and it is good size because space being a minimum in Japan . Will be fun to watch 😎👍

The balcony is a good place to ferment vegetables when the season is right. And a place to grow a few herbs or peppers.
The kitchen reminds me of the apartment we lived in, in Nurnberg Germany - it was 5th floor at the end of the hall. Lived there 8 months and got military quarters on Christmas Eve.
