That's incredible for $400. I paid $425 back in the early 90s for a studio and this place you're in, is so much bigger and for less!! I didn't have a balcony either! Wow.

U can buy a cheaper futon set from Aeon or Nittori😊 Since u intend to be there for only a year, dont get too much stuff .cos Getting rid of it when u leave is so difficult.

Thats a wonderful apartment for $400. So much more expensive n smaller in Tokyo. U can buy 2nd hand electrical goods easily in Japan.

Yes you need a couch and to make it into a bed for guests. Away from your bed. Get a coffee table. You don’t need a lot. Yes get the white chair. I like that. Well done. ❤
