I like that couch you liked because there were no arms and versatile where it can be a flat bed. Some couch/sofas are low which is hard to get up from so be sure to test its comfort.😊
You’re finding this second hand store is great.. make your home comfortable, when ready to leave, sell it to the same store! Investment is low, and you’re not out to much money! Perfect!
Right ? I’m tempted to go and see if couch is still there. Wow interesting where in Japan did you live and what bright you here? Was 4 years enough for you to become fluent in Japanese ?
That second hand store is great! The chair will be uncomfortable if you’re sitting a long time. Get a cushion for it at least. The first couch you looked at is the best. The grey fold up one. It has no ends so you can sleep on it if you wish. Put your futon right on it at night. I would definitely buy that. I would also get that small round fold up table that was near the chair in the shop, for the kitchen, and you can then use it in the living room or balcony. The garbage bin seat as well. Plus buy a plate, cup, glass, kettle, 1 cooking pot. Even just to cook noodles in and make a coffee. Especially if you have a visitor.
Hey thanks for watching and all the suggestions. The chair is indeed uncomfortable when I sit longer then 1 hour , but sind it’s a standing desk I just s5and up for a while.
@bernoGarcia I was amazed with how many cameras there were for sale. I remember you could always tell a group of vacationing Japanese people in the US because of their cameras. Those cups that you were saying looked like they are for tea actually look like they are for sake!!! the little pitchers in the back behind the cups with the narrow tops are for serving sake!!!
Something about your journey is really interesting me so I’ve decided to follow you 👍 I think the fold up couch or “sofa” as we call it in the uk would be a good option for you for practical reasons. Also, I know it is your space but an obvious upgrade for your bedroom space would be too move your two tripods from behind your desk and push your desk all the way back to the window to open up more space in your room. Enjoying your content, keep it up 👍
Thanks a lot for the kind words and the follow. About the tripods, first I had it as you explained, but I figured out I prefer more space for equipment over space for my sleep area. I save time when I want to shoot (because I don’t have to set up tripods every time) . Where does your interest in Japan come from ?

Adding another vote for the couch that goes flat! I thought you were a bit mad with that chair, but it does indeed fit your desk really well, good find! That shop had a lot of good value items.
