- After watching Morbius today, I got in the mood to make another vampire episode. Because I have already recorded several of them in Castle Volkihar, I chose a different location this time: Redwater Den.
I have done Savos vs. a Nightmaster before, but the Nightmaster had the worst equipment he can naturally spawn with, and the fight took place in broad daylight, giving generic vampires a debuff. This is why I'm redoing it under better conditions for the Nightmaster, and now he beats Savos consistently.

Miraak comes up short compared to the Ebony Warrior but its videos like this that remind you how strong he still is.

Great fight, the Volkihar held up well, and Ralis could have defeated him if he had not constantly used his rotten pickaxe to hit him.

On top of being strong spellcasters and having a ton of health they can also regenerate health with vampiric drain AND they have a strong melee attack. No wonder they are so dangerous.

The strongest common enemy is so strong, that two of them could almost defeat Miraak. It makes sort of sense, since these Nightmaster vampires can use 7 spells, have a ridiculous healthbar and have counter abilities for a lot of things you throw at them. These Nightmaster vampires level up with you untill level 65 because they were added so late in the game.
True! Nightmasters are some of my favorite NPCs to use for battles. They're very strong and versatile
And your reward for killing them is some stinky armor and common weapon 🥱
Vampires are probably the strongest non unique enemy in the game

Honestly I’ve always been able to sneak steal their hearts🤷♀️ and due to their much lower health and physical resistance it's not hard to dispose of them with ranged attack before they can get to you
@@YugoslavGamer They can be scary sure but vampires are just much more versatile. If you check the wiki and compare the stats, spells and perks of a nightmaster vampire to that of a briarheart you'll see why they are much more scary. Not to mention that they are never alone and they keep raising corpses from all around them.

Nightmaster Vampires are almost unreasonably strong for being a "mob" you can just randomly encounter out in the world
The fact that two of them at once are *roughly* as strong as Miraak says a LOT
You can't really meet those, but Nightlords are not much weaker, so you still have a point. 😅 The vampire attacks can get really nasty, and I don't understand why some like the Traveler can have such high stats when they often spawn near or even in towns so they can slaughter everyone 😂

It's pretty scary how this is not even the Nightmaster Vampire at his full potential.
1. He has Custom Fit but he does not spawn with a light Helmet and Gauntlets to get bonus armor.
2. If the two Nightmasters had like 2 bandit corpses (at least Thugs, due to the bonus 100 HP from Dark Souls) at their disposal, they could have beaten Miraak.
True, they could be even better! I am not sure if bandits would keep their weapons; during my tests, resurrected NPCs usually didn't pick up their original weapon and used their fists instead. But they could still tank a bit.
Also, Nightmasters have increased frost damage, but no increased shock damage, yet they prefer thunderbolt over icy spear. Why they do that is beyond me 😂
I really like how Bethesda designed their combat ai! The switching from Long-distance spells to melee attack is really cool. I would have loved if they gave a Nightmaster vampire, or the other higher ones in general a perk that let's them absorb magicka from hostile spells. Could be quite crazy and overpowered but really befitting in my opinion.
I like the switching too, although it's inconsistent and not optimized. 😅 Like a vampire switching to meee for a few seconds, then back to spells, and repeating that pattern.
Funny thing, I've talked about magicka absorption for NPCs with someone a couple days ago! I find it weird that nobody has that. It could definitely be overpowered, but it seems appropriate for high-level opponents
The dragon priest should have been Zahkriios. That dude has a single hand lightning storm spell that DECIMATES your existence
That might be something for another episode, probably the boss round. Not a random one like this time 😄

Isn’t he too high level to be resurrected? Maybe you’re using a mod and you just forgot you have it in there? Maybe you’re mistaking nightmaster vampire with a low level vampire like a vampire mistwalker perhaps because they both have “m’s” in their names? Maybe you’re using console commands? A hacked game? It’s okay, maybe you’re just tired when you wrote this comment? Haven’t eaten yet? Or Maybe you’re just in the mood to troll so you feel the need to spread lies? Maybe all of these at once? Probably? @@everrunic8375 funny comment but nah none of the above...I play on ps4 so no mods thrall max level is 40 by default necromage adds 25% to the magnitude of spells against undead which vampires Are,that means you can raise up to level 50 bone wolf and the helm thingie which I keep forgetting the name of also add necromage like buffs(they used to stack with each other as well but now they don't and idk when it happened or why) but anyway they also add another 25% which means your dead thrall spell has magnitude of 62 :) I don't spread lies and I hate people who do so btw
I must add this though that what I originally meant wasn't the nightmaster vampire but the regular(and more common) nightlord vampire which is the normal version of it nighmaster vampires Are level 65 but nightlord vampires are level 60 their perks are the same and while nightmasters have 200 more health and 50 more magicka the regular version uses ice spear and thunderbolt unlike the master version that only uses ice storm and chain lightning they both can drain magicka and the 50 magicka difference is unimportant since they don't run out and the 200 hp difference only matters against burst damage since they can heal themselves

@@Supcharged I'm pretty sure that even the Nightlord and the Briarheart could already get Miraak in trouble, if he focuses on the Nightlord first. With the Death Overlord, it would be a massacre 😆
So two vampires did better than two death overlords against miraak? Would 3 consistently beat miraak?
The Death Overlords mainly do physical damage, which Miraak is highly resistant to. The vampires also do good magic damage, so that's a big difference.
I assume 3 Death Overlords would beat him through repeated stagger. I should test it sometime 🤔

They should stick to their one handed attacks. They have unfair damage it doesn’t make sense at all lol
A vampire using only drain life and one-handed would be the best for sure!
